Abstract

Introduction Anemia is a condition in which someone lacks enough healthy red blood cells in blood circulation to carry adequate oxygen to all body’s tissues. Anemia occurs since the hemoglobin (Hb) level in the blood is lower than the normal value in which the number level is mostly based on age and sex. In adolescent period, the normal hemoglobin level for female is around 12-15gr%. Method This case study used 7 stages of Varney to analysis. Result The findings of this case study indicated that the patient, 16 years old, experienced various issues such as being weak, tired, sleepy, dizzy and anxious. In addition, she also felt some headache. With the complaints, several measures were taken by health workers. The examination on the patient was conducted, and the patient was administered with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological drugs to reduce the pain. Moreover, the midwives also played an important role in providing health care to the patient, including herfamilies Conclusion This study concluded that the midwifery care management given to Ms. “M” with the case of anemia was considered to be good and well managed in which no particular problems occcurred during the curing process

Abstract

Introduction The third stage of labor is the uri stage, namely the birth of the baby and the release of the placenta and the amniotic membranes. Active management of the third stage is the management on the expulsion of the placenta. In most cases, the maternal morbidity and mortality in Indonesia were caused by uterine atony and retained placenta. However, these issues could actually be prevented by enhancng the active management of the third stage. Method In this research, the 7-stage of Varney management approach was employed in accordance with proper procedure based on the competence and authority of the midwifes. Result The findings of this research indicated that there were no particular obstacles found during the process of treatment given to Mrs “J” with the third stage of labor. The patient experienced a normal lower abdominal pain and pains in the perineum on day 1. However, on the next monitoring day, the patient had no complaints, and there were no complications found. Conclusion His study concluded that the research was conducted based on the mentioned approach and SOAP procedure, and it revealed that from the third stage to the fourth stage there were no obstacles and complications found in both the mother and fetus. The condition of both the mother and the baby was generally good where their vital signs were within normal limits.

Abstract

Introduction Adolescence is a transitional period from childhood to adulthood with an age range of 12-21 years. During this period, a maturation process occurs in terms of physical, biological, and psychological. In adolescence period, the mental and physiological aspects of individual were yet to be mature. As a result, many adolescents may experience dysmenorrhea that could ufortunately affect their daily activities, including learning activities. Method The method used in this study was a case study research by employing the 7-stage of Varney management approach and SOAP documentation procedure. Location at the hospital of Sitti Khadijah 1 Makassar. Result The findings of this research indicated that the 19-year-old patient complained of lower abdominal pain penetrating her back. She experienced this condition for 3 days for more than 6 times. Furthermore, she was also anxious with her abdominal tenderness and tension. From this research, the ultrasound examination showed no signs of abnormalities. Thereofore, the treatment was carried out by administering the anti-pain medication, mafenamet acid and non- pharmacological ginger ingredients. Conclusion This study concluded that varios examinations were given to the patient. From the results of her physical examination, the abdomen was identified to be in pain. However, there were no complications found in the patient, and the abdominal pain was no longer felt after the treatments were given. As implications, it is expected that midwives are able to provide care for patients with primary dysmenorrhea by providing proper explanations and appropriate treatment to patients. In addition, Islamic therapy should also be provdied so that patients could feel relax and calmer.

Abstract

Introduction Anemia or lack of iron which is needednfor thenformation of red bloodncells is one of the complicated nutritional problems faced by Indonesia today. Malnutrition in pregnant women is still a problem that must be addressed (hemoglobin). For this reason, research was carried out with the aim of this research being to carry out comprehensive midwifery care management for Mrs ''M'' with Anemia at the CaiIe Health Center, BuIukumba Regency. Method The subject used in this study was one of the third trimester pregnant women who had anemia, then comprehensive care would be carried out such as care for pregnant women, care for postpartum women, care for postpartum women, care for infants and care for family planning (KB). . This research data collection technique consists of interviews, observation, and documentation. result The results of this study are objective data from pregnant women in good overall health, calm consciousness, and HB 8 gram%. The diagnosis from the results of the data is that Ny. M experienced mild anemia during pregnancy was reached in BuIkumba in 2022. During the puerperium given to Mrs.M during the visit thenresults of thenexamination showednthat the mother's condition was normal, involution was good, there was no infection in the incision suture, TFU 2 fingers below the middle . As well as the family planning care given to Mrs. M, went smoothly. Conclusion this study is that Mrs M's healthy living standards in midwifery management can be said to have improved even though at first Mrs. M is anemic but in a light period.

Abstract

Introduction. Nausea and vomiting are common in early pregnancy, and they are considered to be physiologically nature. The nausea and vomiting could be severe if they continue to occur which could cause a pregnancy disorder called as hyperemesis gravidarum. The major symptom of hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnant women is the excessive nausea and vomiting. This condition could even worsen the condition of a pregnant woman in which a dehydration could occur. Based on the data from Tinambung Health Center, the numbers of pregnant women to suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum complications in Tinambung amounted to 47 women in 2018 and 58 women in 2019. From the data, it could be seen that the there was an increase of hyperemesis gravidarum cases among the community in the working area of Tinambung Health Center. Furthermore, it was also apparent that most of the pregnant women have experienced the hyperemesis gravidarum. Therefore, with the high rate of hyperemesis gravidarum cases, the researcher was interested to conduct research related to the risks of hyperemesis gravidarum on pregnant women, particularly on the mothers’ parity status.Method. The methodological approach taken in this research was analytical survey by using cross sectional study design. The sampling method used was purposive random sampling where 78 patients were selected as the samples of this study. The research was conducted through Chi-Square tests where the data was processed and analysed by using SPSS computer application program.Findings. The results of univariate test of this study indicated that the majority of respondents (46 respondents or 59.0% of total samples) were evident to experience a parity status during their pregnany. In addition, the results of the chi square test showed that the p-value = 0.000* (<0.05). Therefore, the parity status variable had been considered to have a significant influence on hyperemesis gravidarum.Conclusion. This research concluded that there are significant relationships between the parity status of pregnant women and the high cases of hyperemesis gravidarum in Tinambung disctrict.

Abstract

Introduction Dysmenorrhea is a disorder of the female reproductive organs that is felt during menstruation which has an impact on disruption of daily activities, the symptoms are pain in the lower abdominal area to the waist and requires treatment. Method The research design using Quasy Experiment with Pre and Post Design approaches and the relationship between the two variables was tested using the dependent data analysis technique Paired T-test. Sampling was carried out by random sampling technique as many as 36 respondents. The research instrument uses sheets to measure the NRS (Numeric Rating Scale) pain scale. Result The results of the Wilcoxon test in the intervention group for dysmenorrhea and lemon (Cytrus) aromatherapy obtained a sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05. The average dysmenorrhea pain level scale in the pre-test intervention group was 5.69 (moderate pain) and in the post-test intervention group was 1.31 (mild pain). The difference between pre-test and post-test pain was 4.38. Conclusion There is a significant effect between dysmenorrhea gymnastics and lemon (Cytrus) aromatherapy on reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea pain levels.

Abstract

Introduction Reducing neonatal mortality is very important. Neonatal mortality contributes 60% to infant mortality. One of the threats to neonates is umbilical cord infection due to umbilical cord care that is not in accordance with predetermined standards. Mrs. F is a patient who routinely checks for pregnancy at PMB Tutik Purwani, and gives birth there. Baby Mrs. F needed cord care, so open care was given to cord care. Method This research uses the case study method. Data collection was done by interview and observation. Result of the care that was carried out on baby Ny. F starts from the assessment of subjective and objective data, determines the assessment, and performs management. The midwife first performed the open method of umbilical cord care while it was still wet and fresh, with no signs of infection, at home by the grandmother and mother. At the time of the second neonatal visit, the baby's umbilical cord had fallen off. This action is taken to prevent the baby from the dangers of umbilical cord infection which can cause neonatal death. Conclusion Open method of umbilical cord care has been carried out from assessment to evaluation properly and in accordance with midwifery care standards, characterized by the baby's umbilical cord. F came off within four days and the wound was dry, clean, and had no signs of infection.

Abstract

Introduction Asphyxia is a condition in newborns in which there is regular spontaneous respiratory failure immediately after birth. WHO states that birth asphyxia is the 3rd leading cause of infant death in the world in the early period of life. Previous data showed that in 2022 there will be 12,114 newborns born in Bone Regency and 550 will experience asphyxia (4.54%). The importance of proper care and the high incidence of newborn asphyxia. The purpose of this research was to provide midwifery care for newborns with asphyxia in infants at the BLUD UPT Ulaweng Health Center in accordance with the needs and authority of midwives. Methods this study uses Varney's 7-step midwifery care management method and SOAP. Results Based on the case studies that have been carried out, it shows that the newborn baby Ny 'R" with mild asphyxia can be handled well. Conclusion Furthermore, the assessment, analysis, and documentation related to all actions and treatment were documented. Hence, it could be suggested that the findings of this research were in line with previous theories.

Abstract

Introduction Perineal rupture is a tear in the birth canal spontaneously, perineal rupture is also the second order in the occurrence of Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia. The main factors that influence the incidence of perineal rupture are primigravida mothers who give birth to newborns weighing > 3500 g, fetal head size > 35 cm, shoulder dystocia, maternal position, and an episiotomy that is intentionally performed using a tool. The importance of providing proper care and the high level of cases of perineal rupture level II, so the purpose of this research was to provide intrapartum midwifery care with level II perineal rupture at UPT BLUD Puskesmas Watampone in accordance with the needs and authority of midwives. Method This study used Varney's 7-step midwifery care management method and SOAP. Result Based on the case studies that have been carried out, it shows that stage I, stage II, stage II, stage III, stage IV proceeded normally and well, the baby was born normally in good condition, the perineal rupture was resolved and there was no bleeding. Conclusion Case studies by conducting studies in the form of anamnesis and monitoring of intrapartum mothers with level II perineal rupture at the UPT BLUD Watampone Health Center have been assessed, analyzed, and documented regarding all the actions that have been carried out with the results not finding any gaps between the theory and the cases obtained.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is one of major cancer in women worldwide and leading causes of death. Global Cancer Observatory (Globocanl Indonesia, 2020) shows that there were 213,546 new cancer cases in 2020 and it can be further explained that 17.2% of these cancer cases are strongly influenced by early detection behavior. The most frequently reported complaint in women with cervical cancer is pain. And non-pharmacological combination therapy that is effective in dealing with pain is Slow Stroke Back Massage and lavender aromatherapy oil. Method: The case study used is a descriptive case study, with data collection techniques through assessment sheets. Data collection was carried out through interviews, physical examination, and observation. The results of the assessment and observation are explained in the nursing care format. The administration of Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM) intervention with lavender aromatherapy oil was carried out 1 time per day with a duration of administration, namely for 3. The procedure was carried out 4 hours after the patient took pain reliever medication. Result: Analysis of case studies in cervical cancer patients with chronic pain problems using slow stroke back massage with lavender aromatherapy oil showed that there was a decrease in pain starting from pain scale 4 to pain scale 2, measured using the "Numeric Rating Scale" pain scale instrument. Conclusion: Based on the results of the evaluation of the cases carried out, it was found that slow stroke back massage with lavender aromatherapy which lasted 10 minutes for 3 days showed that slow stroke back massage with lavender aromatherapy oil was effective in providing interventions to patients with pain problems.
