Abstract

Buton Island, located in Southeast Sulawesi, has natural asphalt reserves, namely Buton asphalt, which spread from the bay to Sampawa to of Lawele. The advantages of Buton asphalt include higher pavement stability when compared to oil asphalt and are more weather resistant and can save pavement thickness by up to 22%. This research is a study conducted to separate Asbuton bitumen from its impurity minerals using the flotation method. The purpose of this study is to increase the levels of bitumen and also recovery. From the results of the experiment The variation in pH carried out showed an optimum increase in bitumen content at pH 7 using kerosene collectors, namely concentrations of 38.7% with 85.81%, the collector dose showed an increase in bitumen levels at a doses of 150 gr / ton, 34, 4% with the recovery of 52.54%. and a solid percent variation showed an increase in bitumen levels, which was 20% percent solid with 35.4% content with the recovery of 72.95%.

Abstract

The level of weathering in nickel ore deposits greatly affects the grain size distribution of the soil material, so a study was conducted to determine the effect of weathering on the grain size distribution of limonite and saprolite soil materials. Based on the results of the research conducted, it is known that the limonite zone has a percentage of 0.00% gravel, 84.33% sand and 15.67% silt/clay. While the saprolite zone has a percentage of 14.20% gravel, 75.80% sand and 10.01% silt/clay. Thus it can be concluded that the level of weathering greatly affects the distribution of grain size on the soil material, where the higher the level of weathering of a material, the finer/smaller the grain size.

Abstract

The combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers can increase the productivity of peanuts. The research aims to determine the effect of the dosage of bokashi tofu dregs waste and phosphate fertilizer on the yield component. The research design used was a factorial arranged in a Randomized Block Design. The first factor was tofu dregs waste bokashi dose treatment (K) consisting of four levels, i.e. without bokashi of tofu dregs waste (K0); 5 tons per hectare (K1), 10 tons per hectare (K2), 15 tons per hectare (K3); and second factors were phosphate fertilizer dosage (P) consisting of three levels, namely without phosphate (S0); 100 kg per hectare (S1); 200 kg per hectare (S2). Each experimental unit was repeated three times. The analysis of data on the number of young poods per plant, number of pithy seeds weight per plant and weight of 100 seeds using ANOVA if the analysis result of significant (Fhit> Ftab), then continue with DMRT test on α=0.05. The results showed that treating tofu dregs waste bokashi 15 tons per hectare and phosphate 200 kg per hectare can improve the yield components.

Abstract

The Shallot requires soil types with a high fertility level in terms of physical, chemical and biological aspects. The research aims to determine the effect of the composition of growing media based on manure on growth and yield shallot. The research design used was a randomized block design with 10 treatments, i.e. P0 = soil media (control), P1 = soil: sands: cow manure (1:1:1), P2 = soil: sands: chicken manure (1:1:1), P3 = soil: sands: goat munere (1:1:1), P4 = soil: sands: cow manure (2:1:2), P5 = soil: sands: chicken manure (2:1:2), P6 = soil: sands: goat munere (2:1:2), P7 = soil: sands: cow manure (3:1:3), P8 = soil: sands: chicken manure (3:1:3), P9 = soil: sands: goat munere (3:1:3). The analysis of data on plant height, leaf number, number of tillers, number of tubers, fresh weight and dry weight tubers per plant, using ANOVA, if analysis result of significant (Fhit> Ftab) then continue with BNJ test on α=0.05. The results showed that the composition of growing media based on manure, soil: sand: cow manure (3:1:3) can improve the yield of shallot a 464,35% compared to the growth media of soils.

Abstract

From the results of previous studies, the level of iron (Fe) in well water in Kendari City is above the quality standard. One method to reduce iron content in groundwater is using sago stem fiber. Sago stem fiber is used because the amount is quite abundant and is not utilized. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of sago stem fiber in reducing iron in groundwater. The research method used was experimental in the laboratory to see the iron content in the water before going through filtration and after filtration with variations in the use of sago stem fiber as thick as 10 cm, 20 cm and 30 cm. Experimental results show that the use of sago fiber filtration can significantly reduce the iron content in groundwater, which is 1.4172 mg/L in a row to 0.0021 mg/L, 0.0018 mg/L, 0.0012 mg/L. The thicker the sago fiber used, the more effective it is in reducing iron content. After being filtered, the iron content in the well water used as a sample meets the standard for clean water, which is a maximum of 1 mg/L.

Abstract

The rapid development in the city of Kendari has certainly greatly influenced many things, including in the field of architecture. And one of the developments in the field of architecture is the many innovations related to the design of mosques in the city of Kendari so that it is no longer monotonous. Some mosques in Kendari have even implemented modern principles. The purpose of this research is to identify and obtain the typology of mosques in Kendari so that in the future it can be used as a reference for designers of modern mosques in the future. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative method through typology analysis of mosque buildings which are considered to represent modern mosque buildings in the city of Kendari. The research resulted in a typology of modern mosque buildings in Kendari city as a form of development of mosque architecture in the modern era but without eliminating the Islamic impression which later can become a reference in designing modern mosques, especially in Kendari city

Abstract

Islamic architecture is a building work of art that applies deep Islamic forms, ornaments, symbols and values ​​without hindering the use of modern building technology as a tool in expressing this essence. Islamic architecture is guided by the Al-Quran and Hadith. The characteristics of Islamic architecture are mosques. The mosque in the city of Kendari has many unique forms with symbols and ornaments on every mosque in the city of Kendari. From the uniqueness of mosques in the city of Kendari, the author will conduct research on the forms of symbols in mosques in the city of Kendari. This research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. This method is carried out by serving directly at every mosque in the city of Kendari. The results of this study indicate that the shape and location of the symbols and ornaments on each mosque in the city of Kendari are in accordance with Islamic architecture.

Abstract

As time progresses, architectural concepts are also developing. One of them is the concept of Islamic architecture. Mosque building is a place of worship for Muslims and also one of the applications of Islamic architecture. The application of Islamic architecture to mosques aims to present Islamic values into the building. The concept of this mosque draws from ornaments, facades, and the application of architecture to mosques and studies, especially on the mass of mosque architectural buildings, namely the visible image of the mosque, mosque plans, mosque history, architectural characteristics of the mosque, application of rules to mosque architecture, transformation of the shape of the mosque, as well as how the shape of the doors and windows on the mosque building, research using a descriptive approach obtained from the data through the process of observing objects directly taking literature / articles.

Abstract

Lighting is one factor that really supports the achievement of a function in space optimally. Lighting Natural and artificial lighting have their respective roles in their use, so both must be utilized properly in order to create an optimal comfort and function of these factors and there is no excessive use of natural and artificial lighting. This analysis was carried out in order to determine the level of optimization of natural and artificial light in the examination room II of the Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University of Kendari. So that in the future it can be a reference for designers in designing buildings or spaces in terms of optimizing the use of natural and artificial light.

Abstract

Islamic architecture embodies the harmony of man's interaction with his surroundings and his Creator while fusing human culture with the process of his self-servitude to God. Complex geometric linkages, a hierarchy of ornamental forms, and extremely rich symbolic connotations can all be found in Islamic architecture. Islamic architecture was developed from the idea of Islamic religious philosophy taken from the Quran, Hadith, Sunnah, Fiqh, and Muslim Scholars. Islamic architecture itself is inseparable from His place of worship which is very attached to Islam, namely the mosque building. The shape of the structure, the shape of the roof (dome), façade, minaret, where the muadzin proclaims the call to prayer, and decoration in the form of calligraphy are indications that the mosque itself has a very similar sense of the mass of the building. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to show how Islamic architecture has been applied to a large number of mosque structures. The concept of study is mainly during the mosque architecture building, namely the visible image of the mosque, mosque plan, mosque history, mosque architectural characteristics, application of rules to mosque architecture, transformation of the shape of the mosque, and how the shape of doors and windows in mosque buildings in the city of Kendari. This research uses data collection methods in this case such as by conducting observations, descriptive, and surveys on mosques in the city of Kendari.
