UPI YPTK Journal of Business and Economics is dedicated to address the challenges in the areas of Business and Economics, thereby presenting a consolidated view to the interested researchers in the aforesaid fields. The journal looks for significant contributions to the area of management including accounting, auditing, management, marketing, business, finance, and other related topics in theoretical and practical aspects. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence of controlling, organization commitment, and work discipline on the employee performance of Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Dharmasraya. The data analysis is done by using validity test, reliability, classical assumption, multiple linear regression, F test and t test. Sampling technique by used total sampling method. The test is conducted in order to determine the effect of variables on the bound variables. Based on the results of this study found that controlling, organization climate, and work discipline have a positive and significant impact on employee performance of employees of Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Dharmasraya.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of foreign, institutional, and family ownership on capital structure. The two control variables include company size and profitability, while the secondary data were obtained from the financial firm, and 2014-2018 annual report. Sampling technique by using total sampling method. A total of 197 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) were sampled. Data analysis by used descriptive analysis, classic assumption test and pane data regression. The results showed that foreign, institutional, and family ownerships have no significant effect on capital structure. However, firm size and profitability have positive and negative significant effects on capital structure, respectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the quality of human resources on the reliability and timeliness of local government financial reporting in Suliki sub-district and the effect of information technology utilization variables on the reliability and timeliness of local government financial reporting in Suliki sub-district. The data used in this study is primary data consisting of 46 samples. This research uses Multiple Linear Regression Analysis method. The results of the analysis show that the variable quality of human resources has a positive significant relationship to the reliability and timeliness of local government financial reporting in Suliki district, the variable of information technology utilization has a positive significant relationship to the reliability and timeliness of local government financial reporting in Suliki district and simultaneously variable independent has a significant positive effect on the dependent variable. This can be seen from the coefficients of each variable and the level of significance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence leadership style, human resource development has on employee performance at the Mukomuko district social service with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Methods of collecting data through surveys and questionnaires. The analytical method used is validity and reliability test, multiple linear analysis, hypothesis testing using F test and t test. The total respondents in this study amounted to 55 respondents. Based on the research obtained based on the partial test (t test) obtained: (a) Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. (b) human resource development has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. (c) Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (d) human resource development has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. (e) job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Then the results of the coefficient of determination 0.592 or 59.2% this shows that the percentage of the contribution of the independent variable leadership style and human resource development to job satisfaction is 0.408 or 40.8 is influenced by variables outside the study while the second equation is 0.720 or 72.0% this shows that the percentage of the contribution of the independent variables of leadership style, human resource development and job satisfaction to the dependent variable of employee performance (Y) is 0.720 or 72, 0%. While the rest is 0.280 or 28.0% influenced by other variables outside of this study.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of ethnicity, gender and board of director’s experience diversity on the company performance. The data used are secondary data from the financial statements and annual report from 2011 to 2017. Samples were taken randomly on all companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange as many as 266 companies. The results of this study prove that ethnicity and experience of the board of directors not significantly effect on company performance (ROS). However, the results of gender on board of directors showed negative and significant impact on company performance (ROS). Company age and audit quality have insignificant effect on company performance (ROS).
