Abstract

One form of offering to God Almighty is the use of the Panca Suara element in every yajña ceremony in Bali. To obtain valid data, this article uses literature study, by examining books, similar scientific articles, and references related to theology and aesthetics of Panca Suara. The five voices are the five voices that must be present in every yajña ceremony. The five sounds are: 1) the sound of a genta, 2) the sound of a mantra, 3) the sound of song or kekawin, 4) the sound of unemployment or gamelan, 5) the sound of kulkul or sunari. Panca Suara cannot be separated from the aesthetic concepts of Hindu Satyam, Siwam, and Sundaram. Each sound that is generated has the meaning of worship of a certain god and has powers such as Sang Hyang Smara Ratih, Panca Brahma, Panca Bhuta, and Panca Dewata, Catur Loka Phala. The sacredness of this sound is indicated by a special ritual before using these sounds. Panca Suara that is present in every religious ceremony in Bali, is not only as entertainment and complementary, but has magical values that can vibrate the atmosphere. The sacredness of these sounds is indicated by the existence of several rituals that must be performed to initiate these sounds, so as to convey the intent of the community to the power worshiped in the temple.

Abstract

Myth is a story of a nation that contains an interpretation of the origin of the universe. Myth gives its own color to its supporting community, so it displays a unique pattern of action and contains its own special characteristics. Myths are often displayed with mystical wrapping, so they tend to be on the metaphysical side. So then it causes supporters of myths to be claimed to be conservative and dogmatic. Although in fact, this is a view that only rests on one perspective. The variety of myths circulating in the community shows that there are a variety of values that the ancient scholars wanted to inherit. However, there are positive values that still need to be explored through contemplation in order to bring out the reality side. The positive values contained in myths are: a) myths act as educational facilities, b) myths serve as a medium for conservation of natural resources, and c) myths play roles as a stimulus for the creativity of new thinking. All of these positive values aim to prosper human life and make human beings humane. Keywords : Contemplation, Myth and Reality

Abstract

The beauty of kasanah and the ritual implementation of yajna balinese Hindu community is seen from various activities carried out as well as supporting facilities of yajna activities. The performance of yajna is actually a theatrical performance that is undiscised when reviewed from an art point of view. Later in its implementation there are five tones as a complement to the activity and one of them is the voice of Genta also called Nada Brahman. Genta is a tool used by stakeholders / pinandita to accompany the spell chanted. In addition to being a means of puja genta from ampek sound that gives rise to cosmic vibrations can also support kundalini fire in humans. Through a qualitative approach and various text studies, further assessment of this needs to be done. It can be explained that Genta corresponds to the concept of the pengiders to the east, with the aksarasuci being 'Sa', the god is Iswara, the war is white and inside man is housed in the Heart. In addition to the concept of sound and tone in the use of genta as its facilities, from the aspect of voice dialogue genta also plays a role in improving the science of dialogue. This is supported by various lontang that explain that the genta that emits the loud sound is the generator of cosmic vibrations and can evoke 7 (seven) chakras that exist in humans. The rise of these 7 chakras will raise the fire of kundalini which affects the disusedness that a person has. Genta in this case became known as Genta pinaruh pitu, a aguron-gorun concept that gave teachings to the people, especially Hindus in Bali about ancient teachings as one of the ways to achieve release.

Abstract

Hindu mythology in Java developed since the entry of Hindu civilization into Indonesia. Javanese people believe these myths as a local wisdom that must be maintained. Although there are some Javanese people who doubt it, the existence of Hindu mythology in Java is maintained and even becomes a source of inspiration in their social and religious life. This phenomenon makes Hindu mythology in Java as a paradox, whose existence is still needed even though some people doubt it. Up to now the values contained in Hindu mythology are integrated in the Javanese way of life (tutur) of the people and are rooted in the breath of their spiritual life and make them survive (batur) as Javanese people who ‘njawani’. For Hindus on Java, Hindu mythology has also become one of the mediums of teaching religion, especially if it is related to its origins from Itihāsa and Purāṇa.
