Abstract

As a student, it is often necessary to make various kinds of letters for different kinds of needs, such as letters of good behavior, letters of application for permits, certificates of still studying, letters of receiving scholarships and so on. For the sake of convenience and productivity in working by utilizing advanced information technology, UIN Sunan Kalijaga has created a mailing automation information system for students which is a website designed to make it easier for students to make letters for lecture purposes. The activity in making the UIN Sunan Kalijaga letter automation information system is a business process with a series of several business activities that are interrelated with one goal so that business targets are achieved. Therefore, a business process must be planned and designed as well as possible in order to minimize errors that might occur. Business process analysis is an attempt to study a business process in one or several organizations. The purpose of the business process analysis is to analyze and document existing work processes. The automation information system of UIN Sunan Kalijaga uses a development model with the waterfall method which is one of the best solutions because it utilizes information technology as an intermediary to simplify and speed up human work. The results of this study are in the form of system modeling which is presented in Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams and System Displays used in the information system of letter automation at UIN Sunan Kalijaga.

Abstract

Asahan Regency is one of the areas with a poultry population of laying hens with a population of 4,725,195 and broiler with a population of 27,881,073 which will continue to increase where the accompanying diseases are also increasingly complex. Diseases in chickens that occur in Asahan District will of course greatly affect chicken production in Asahan District. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an expert system where the system is a reference whether the chickens kept are infected with the disease or not, and if infected it is hoped that the disease suffered by the chickens being kept can be identified quickly and can carry out appropriate treatment. So that intensive care and maintenance of chickens will generate multiple profits. In this study a system was built by applying the Forward Chaining method to get the results that are closest to the symptoms of the disease that attacks these animals

Abstract

Students as learning agents and seekers of knowledge need to be encouraged to explore their potential, including in aspects of hard skills and soft skills. This research focuses on building a Decision Support System (SPK) with the Weighted Product (WP) method to determine the best students. Improving students' future existence depends not only on the excellence of hard skills, but also the balance of soft skills. The research involved four journals related to SPK student selection, and WP was chosen as an evaluation method. The research process begins with literature collection and system design, including design procedures, system usage, relationships between tables, use case diagrams, and WP method flowcharts. The implementation of the system includes a login page, input of criteria and alternative values, and the process of calculating student rankings. WP gives an accurate ranking, with Alternative 9 (Rifai) as the best student. Testing shows a high degree of accuracy between manual results and system results. This DSS provides an objective evaluation of student achievement, with the potential for further development related to data integration with academic systems and user interface improvement. The conclusion of this study is that SPK with the WP method can provide student rankings efficiently and accurately, helping to support decision making related to the selection of the best students. Further development suggestions involve feature enhancements, data maintenance, and further integration with academic systems to improve system reliability.

Abstract

Bananas are abundantly available in Indonesia, rich in nutrients, and hold high economic value. However, the post-harvest sorting process still relies on inconsistent human judgment, resulting in losses for farmers. Therefore, this research proposes the use of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to classify the ripeness of bananas based on color. The dataset consists of 450 banana images with three ripeness classes: raw, ripe, and overripe, sourced from Kaggle. Data augmentation is performed using Image Data Generator. CNN is designed using the VGG-19 architecture and trained using both Adam and SGD optimizers. The research results show the highest accuracy of 100% with the lowest loss of 0.02 when using the Adam optimizer with 20 epochs. The SGD optimizer also yields 100% accuracy with a loss of 0.04 at epoch 20. The research conclusion indicates that CNN with the VGG-19 architecture can be used for banana ripeness classification with high accuracy rates. For future developments, the model will be enhanced with layer adjustments and preprocessing to improve accuracy and reduce data loss.

Abstract

The Brassisca Rapa L plant, commonly referred to as pakcoy, is a vegetable renowned for its economically significant leaves. Pakcoy thrives in both highland and lowland regions, characterized by its rapid harvest cycle and straightforward cultivation process. However, the marked increase in pakcoy cultivation has rendered the crop susceptible to diseases caused by fungi, viruses, pests, and other microbes, highlighting the necessity for effective management strategies to mitigate crop failure. This study explores the application of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) in the identification of pakcoy diseases through advanced pattern recognition and image analysis techniques. Utilizing a dataset comprising 1000 images of pakcoy leaves—500 depicting diseased specimens and 500 healthy ones—sourced from greenhouse plants, the images are processed using CNN with RGB configurations at a resolution of 512x512 pixels. The data training, conducted with the Adam optimizer, achieved an accuracy rate of 89.12% and a loss value of 0.240. The findings demonstrate that the CNN methodology is highly effective in accurately classifying diseases in pakcoy, thereby providing a robust framework for informed decision-making in disease prevention and management for pakcoy crops

Abstract

Acne is a face health problem that makes some people who want to have a healthy face to be afraid. One of the causes of acne is due to air pollution. Although harmless, acne causes emotional and social disorders due to the discomfort caused by acne. Nowadays, people choose ready-to-use products that have been produced by a beauty clinic to treat their face. Evaluation of acne is traditionally done by dermatologists in the medical environment. However, the desire of the patient is to be able to consult with doctor using an easy way to do anytime and anywhere. With limit time, doctor also feel in terms of the amount of time to consult with the patient. Therefore, this research was done to build a face health app based on android mobile as an easy way to do a consultation called PIMPAD. With the PIMPAD app, patients an doctors can conduct consultations related to facial health through the chat feature available on the app. The end result of this study is to produce a face health app based on android mobile with chat features using a kotlin built as an easy way to do consultation between patients and doctors that can be used anytime and anywhere.
