Jurnal Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian (JSEP) adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Departemen Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian melalui Publication Management Center Universitas Hasanuddin. Abstract

Palm is one of commodity from plantation sub sector that largely planted by farmer in Bengkulu Province. Plantation area and production of palm oil keep increasing year by year in Bengkulu, this shows that farmer interest in planting palm is quiet high moreover it is considered as profitable commodity among farmer. This study aims to (1) getting know the development of plantation area and productivity of palm oil in Bengkulu year by year (2) getting know the effect of plantation area and productivity of palm towards Plantation PDRB subsector in Bengkulu. This study used quantitative method. By characteristic this study is statistic descriptive. Data used in this study is secondary data. Analysis done by using trend and multiple linear regression. The study result shows that PDRB development, plantation area and production of palm oil from 2009 to 2019 tend to increase. Plantation area and production of palm oil together affect Plantation PDBR Sub sector significantly but have no effect partially towards Plantation PDBR Sub sector.

Abstract

The development of rice which is quite well-known in Klaten Regency is the rojolele srinuk rice variety. The rojolele srinuk rice variety has become the identity of Klaten Regency because it has its own characteristics and features a fluffier, savory and fragrant taste compared to other rices. The existence of the rojolele srinuk rice variety can motivate rice farmers in Klaten Regency to cultivate it. The motivation of rice farmers in Klaten Regency can be formed because there are factors that influence it, such as being able to increase income and have the convenience of obtaining seeds of the Rojolele Srinuk variety of rice. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the motivation of farmers in cultivating the rojolele srinuk rice variety in Klaten Regency. This study aims to 1) Assess the motivation level of farmers in cultivating the Rojolele Srinuk variety of rice in Klaten Regency. 2) Knowing the factors forming the motivation of farmers in cultivating Rojolele Srinuk variety rice in Klaten Regency. 3) Analyzing the relationship between the forming factors of motivation and the motivation level of farmers in cultivating the Rojolele Srinuk variety of rice in Klaten Regency.

Abstract

Abstract In 2020 Jember Regency is one of the regencies contributing the most coffee production in East Java with a total production of 236,899 tonnes. Out of a total of 31 sub-districts in the Jember Regency, 16 sub-districts do not produce coffee, while the remaining 15 sub-districts produce coffee with yields varying from 0.018 tons to 78.858 tons. Based on 2020 BPS data, the largest production was in the Silo District 78,858 tons. This study aims to determine: 1) the trend of coffee production in Jember Regency; 2) which areas in Jember Regency are coffee production bases; 3) is the distribution of coffee localized or specialized in coffee-producing areas in Jember Regency. The method used is descriptive and correlational with purposive sampling. The results of the study show that: 1) forecasting the development of coffee commodities in Jember Regency shows an increasing trend of coffee production in 2021-2024. The development of coffee commodity production in Jember Regency shows a positive value, meaning that coffee production tends to increase from year to year; 2) the sub-districts that are the basis for the coffee commodity in Jember Regency from a production point of view include the sub-districts of Arjasa, Bangsalsari, Jelbuk, Ledokombo, Panti, Patrang, Silo, Sukorambi, Sumberbaru, Sumberjambe, and Tanggul; (3) the distribution of coffee commodities in Jember Regency based on localization analysis shows that the coffee plantation business is not concentrated in one area, but spreads out in several areas of Jember Regency. Meanwhile, for the analysis of coffee commodity specialization in the Jember Regency, several sub-districts have specificities in an area. Keywords:       coffee; regional analysis; forecasting.

Abstract

Abstract The agricultural extension needs competencies related to intellectual skills (cognitive), skills related to psychology (affective), and physical movement skills (psychomotor). Farm extension workers must be able to respond quickly and effectively to existing farmer problems in the Industrial Age 4.0 so human resource preparedness is needed through collaboration between government, business, academics, community intellectuals, and agricultural extension agencies so that it is easy and there is upstream and downstream synergy. Of course, agricultural guidance in Palopo City is still much needed, as in other regions, even if they face the problem of narrow farming views, there will still be administrative problems that affect the success of their tasks in the field and office. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the performance of agricultural extension workers in the city of Palopo. This survey was conducted in January 2023 at all Agricultural Extension Centers (BPP) in Palopo City. All 42 information officers with civil servant status were the samples in this study. The primary data collection technique was conducted through a survey method using a structured questionnaire. Analysis of research data through descriptive analysis using the Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) application. The results of the study show that age and seniority have a positive, direct, and significant effect on agricultural extension worker performance, knowledge of extension allowances and extension administration has a positive, direct, and significant effect on agricultural extension worker performance, the availability of office facilities and facilities for field activities have a positive and direct influence, but not significant, on the performance of agricultural extension Keywords: Administration of agricultural extension and extension services.
