Abstract

Abstract – PT. QDC Technologies is a company that works in the telecommunication and power infrastructure service sector in Indonesia. As an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company, it is important to have a well plan project managemnet to ensure that every project meets its project’s objectives. One of PT. QDC’s projects is the Trafo Bay Submission construction in Lubuk Linggau, South Sumatera, which project implementation run behind its project plan. This research is aimed to improve project management of PT. Abstract

Abstract. Social marketing campaign is a method of using marketing concept that used by some institutions such as governments and companies with the goals of changing the behavior. Lots of social marketing campaign have been successfully implemented, especially in the health field such as Social HIV prevention campaign, smoke free, diet for health and etc, The first step to construct social marketing campaign is “Exploring Behavior of Target Audience”. In this research, the researcher will analyze the behavior of the college students towards consumption of fish dishes .The basic problem of this study is the low level of fish consumption of college students in West java , especially Bandung, which is inversely proportional to the high rate of fish production in West Java. The analysis in this study is based on two concepts, first is marketing mix 4P's that used in social marketing campaign and the second is consumer decision making process. Using these two approaches, the researcher can describe the characteristics of college student behavior in consuming fish dishes in Bandung. The reserarch result becomes the recommendation for government program “GEMARIKAN” as social marketing campaign strategy to increase fish consumption rate of college students in Bandung. The researcher used descriptive analysis in this research, 100 questionnaires had been distributed to college students in Bandung. The scope of the area only focus in Bandung, and the time of execution started from the beginning of June 2015 until the beginning of August 2015. Overall the results are family is the best influencer that affect college students to consume fish dishes, Instagram is a very effective media used in this campaign, and this program needs cooperation with the café or restaurant that was always visited by college students.  Keywords: Social Marketing Campaign, Marketing mix 4P,Consumer decision making rules, College Student, Descriptive Analysis, GEMARIKAN.

Abstract

Abstract. BFM has been constantly striving to discover new vaccines for more than 123 years, in order to eradicate communicable diseases that continue to grow and threaten the humans’ health. Therefore, this research has the objective to conduct a conclusion whether the replacement production line of Bacillus Calmette Guerin (BCG) is feasible or not. Bacillus Calmette Guerin (BCG) is known as freeze-dried vaccine which contains live attenuated of Mycobacterium Bovis, Paris strain. Nowadays the process of production BCG will replace by new technology because of increased demand. Theories and methods in this research are cash flow, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PBP), and sensitivity analysis. The result of this project indicates the feasibility of the project and the benefit of the project for PT. BFM. Based on the positive NPV, greater IRR when compared with WACC, and shorter payback period when compared with the project economical life, this project is economically feasible. Keywords: Cash Flow, NPV, IRR, Payback Period, Sensitivity Analysis

Abstract

Abstract- Capital market as one of the promising economic instruments is the investment object that quite interesting, but still not much glimpsed by Indonesian people. Recorded only about 4% of people who know about the capital market, and based on an index of literacy in services and financial sector, the utilization rate of capital market products and services only reached 0.11%. Meanwhile, the market share of Islamic stocks has mastered 50% of the shares in the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Thus the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) as one of sharia stock index may be a reference to an attractive investment for the Muslim majority of Indonesian people (87.18%). On the other hand, gold that has a long history and relations with the Islamic economic world is still a favorite commodity to invest. World Gold Council noted that Indonesia becomes the highest gold consumer in Southeast Asia. However, despite being one of the safest investment due to its value tends to rise, but the gold return tends to be lower than stock returns. Meanwhile the year 2009 was a year with a positive vision for the Indonesian economy after the global crisis of 2008. Various economic indicators experienced a positive trend, as inflation reached 2.78%, the lowest in the history of the Indonesian economy. As well as the performance of the Indonesian capital market, IHSG in 2009 increased by 87% from the previous year, the highest in ASEAN. By contrast, the exchange rate of has weakened against US dollar over the years, with the exception of 2010 which is capable strengthened to Rp8.900, - per US dollar. Also the nominal GDP has increased from year to year. This research aimed to determine the effect of macro-economic factors that have been mentioned, that are inflation, exchange rate and GDP, as well as the price of gold toward stock returns in companies listed in JII from 2009 to 2014. The data used in this research is the annual secondary data of each variable. By using panel data regression method, this research found that inflation, exchange rates and the gold price has a significant effect on stock returns in JII, while GDP has no significant effect. But simultaneously, all four of these variables have a significant effect and are able to explain as much as 62% of the information on the stock return of companies listed in JII, the rest of 38% is explained by other variables outside the four independent variables in this research. Abstract

Abstract. The raising numbers of fast food restaurants nowadays are the result of the increasing demand for relatively inexpensive, and ready-to-eat food. This condition makes the competition among fast food restaurant is getting bigger. To deal with the high competition in fast food market, McDonald’s Dago as one of the fast food restaurant in Bandung should provide the best service to make customer satisfied. By measuring the service quality, McDonald’s Dago will be able to know whether the service that has been provided satisfies its customers or not. The purpose of this research is to measure the service quality by using the SERVQUAL method. There are five dimensions in SERVQUAL method, which are tangible dimension, reliability dimension, responsiveness dimension, empathy dimension, and assurance dimension. In this research, the service quality of McDonald’s Dago will be measured by calculating the differences between customers’ expectation and customers’ perception. This difference is called customer gap. From the customer gap result, it is possible to know which SERVQUAL dimension that customers’ feel satisfied from service that provided by McDonald’s Dago. The data collection in this research will be from primary data, which is questionnaire. There are 22 statements in the questionnaire that are from SERVQUAL model, and the questionnaire will be spread to 100 respondents of ITB Undergraduate students. The data analysis shows that all of the customer gaps are negative, which means the service that has been provided by McDonald’s Dago did not meet customers’ expectation. Keywords: Service quality, SERVQUAL, Customer Gaps, Customer Perception, Customer Expectation, Restaurant industry

Abstract

Abstract - AFFAIRS store is one of fashion concept stores based in Yogyakarta and located at Jalan Ringroad Utara 20A, Pandega Satya, Kota Yogyakarta. The store is established since 2010 and it is the pioneer of concept store in Yogyakarta who sells fashion from various local brands. In order to expand their target market and sales, AFFAIRS needed to improve its current condition by seeing internal and external factor. Based on the interview and current facts in AFFAIRS store, it shows that the marketing mix strategies that have been done by AFFAIRS is still not working to the fullest and it will affect its brand equity dimensions of the store. AFFAIRS store needs to maximize their marketing mix strategies in order to expand their target market and increase their sales at the end. Therefore, this research examined the marketing strategy for concept store by identifying current marketing mix strategies in affecting brand equity dimensions and the current external and internal factors that will affect the condition of AFFAIRS store. Keywords - External and Internal Analysis, Marketing Mix, Brand Equity, Concept Store, Local Brand, Fashion.

Abstract. PT.ABC is a steel fabricator company with many projects and experience in steel industry and infrastructure. As one of the manufacturing company, PT.ABC is relaying their operational activities through supply chain management. Supply chain management is one of strategic decision of a business. Supply chain management is also a network of organization that includes supplier, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and customers. Focus of supply chain management is took place in the customers side, the primary purpose of the existence of supply chain management is to satisfy the customer needs, alongside the process of gaining profit. In order to maximize the operational activity of supply chain management, financial side is taking support in background. To support supply chain management there are several tools that also taking advantage in the financial side, one of them is supply chain finance (SCF). Supply chain finance is an alternative funding consists of three different parties’ there are financial institution (bank), buyer, and supplier. SCF form a different way of funding that affected company’s financial performance to leading into operational performance. The purpose of this study is to identify impact from applying SCF program toward four different indicators as the working investment, account payable desk on hand, the cost of goods sold, and current ratio specifically seen from buyer’s perspective. To analyze the findings, a quantitative descriptive analysis employed. The result of this study could use to evaluate operational performance through financial performance in the company. The result is important because it will explain the improvement of performance and the impact of applying SCF program based on four indicators. Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship about employee engagement to employee performance, and the best recommendation for the company to increase their performance. This research was taken at Service Company which is PT Telkom Bandung, one of the first state-owned monopoly companies that required providing the best service to the public in this case phone users or customers. 100 questionnaires are distributed to six departments at PT Telkom Bandung. It develop by using Gallup’s Q12 questionnaire of engagement, ASTD theory (Say, Stay, and Strive), and their relationship to employee performance. The result show that there are 5 of 12 variables indicate very good level of engagement in driver variable of employee engagement, which are: Materials and Equipment, Opportunity to Do the Best, Someone Who Cares at Work, Associates’ Committed to Quality, and Best Friend. Besides, dimension of Strive has very good level as indicator of employee performance. There are 7 of 12 variables indicate good level of engagement in driver variable of employee engagement, which are: Expectation, Recognition of Good Work, Encouraged the Development, Opinions Count, Mission/Purpose, Progress of Work, and Learn and Grow. Besides, dimension of Say and Stay has good level as indicator of employee engagement. All driver variable of employee engagement has directly influence to indicator of employee engagement and indirectly influence to employee performance, and all indicator of employee engagement has directly influence to employee performance.    Keywords: employee engagement, employee performance, performance, job performance.

Abstract

Abstract - In the past few years, records label was facing changes in the music industry that includes opportunities and threat. The opportunities are the rise of digital music that brings out several new product formats, also the partnership with partners to create new platform. Records label also faced the piracy issue as the main threat, which caused great loses to their profit. Therefore, records label, especially in Indonesia, needs innovation in their business model to overcome those changes in music industry structure.This research used the qualitative data research method by using semi-structured interview and secondary data. The respondents in the interview were the member of Trinity Oprima Production and Music Factory Indonesia, especially the business development and digital team. This research revealed the business model canvas, the innovation process and the result of business model innovation implementation. The innovation process shows that both company have initial and existing innovation that have different phases. They was succeed as shown from the result that is measured from the sales unit, margin, and complexity of innovation. By the result of this research, both companies are suggested to have a deep understanding of their business model and make a mapping for the company and partner potential and capability with also evaluate the readiness of the market to accept innovations. Records label also suggested to apply the 360 degrees business model, adaptive to changes and communicate with the partners to create innovations. For the distributors in general, they should apply the super-distribution strategy to gain maximum benefit and be able to expand their distribution channel in form of digital sales or innovation. Keywords: Business Model Innovation, Indonesian Records Label, Music Industry, Music Business Model.

Abstract

Abstract. Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to inform the warehouse management of PT. Chintaka Bumi Pertiwi, so that the company knows which processes or activities within the current warehouse work process is having problems in terms of performance or causing stock inaccuracy and to propose solution of the problems. Methodology / Approach – The methodology used for research is by interviewing the Logistics and Shipment Chief, Supervisor, and Administrator of PT. Chintaka Bumi Pertiwi warehouse resulting in the current warehouse work process, implemented SOP, number of goods lost during stock inaccuracy, number of inaccuracy case, types of goods lost, warehouse layout, goods placement. The data from interview process then compared to the actual data gathered through direct observation to identify current problems occurring and to see whether there are connections between these data. The compared result of both data collection then analyzed to see the real cause of problems within the company and the proper solution on how to improve current system by solving the identified problem. Last, recommendations will be given to the company on how to do the proposed solutions before and during the implementation. Findings – The inaccuracy case of the company increased by 11.3% with approximate value loss due to goods lost during the stock inaccuracy case in summed up around 30 million Rupiah. The current work processes is experiencing problems caused by procedure, company regulations, and the level of control applied within storage section. Research Limitation – The limitation of this research is the product types, which are CBK4401, CBK3402, CBK6402, CBG6301, CBG6302, and CBG1305 with the highest amount of inaccuracy case among other products; only focusing on the work processes of the warehouse; and the data from 2013 to 2014.
