Journal of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacy (JECP) merupakan jurnal yang issue tiap 6 bulan sekali (Februari-Agustus) dalam bidang farmasi eksperimen dan farmasi klinik secara nasional. Penelitian eksperimental dalam jurnal ini mencakup penelitian pengembangan obat dan makanan secara in vivo, in vitro, in silico, dan formulasi serta pemeriksaan mutu makanan. Sementara itu, penelitian klinis mencakup uji klinik, case report, case series, cohort, dan crossectional dari penggunaan obat obatan dan kosmetika. Kami juga menerima artikel penelitian mengenai farmasi komunitas dan entreprenuer pharmacy (Pharmaprenuer). Selain artikel penelitian, kami juga menerima karya dalam bentuk review artikel, mini review dan Short Communication. Jurnal ini adalah jurnal akses terbuka Jurnal ini adalah jurnal akses terbukadan tidak memungut biaya publikasi untuk berlangganan, pengiriman, dan penerbitan jurnal.

Abstract

Hypertension was one problem in health sector because of its high incidence rate worldwide, and until now still increasing. According to WHO data in 2015, around 1.13 billion people in the worldwide suffer hypertension. It was estimated that 1.56 billion adults in the world will hypertension by 2025. Based on national research data in 2018, Gorontalo Province was 20th position with the number of cases of hypertension. Adherence to taking medication was one of the problems in the treatment of this disease. However, this adherence could overcome through monitoring by members of family regarding treatment, and determining whether to use health services or not. This study aims to determine the relationship between role of family with compliance treatment of patients in the working area of community health centers of Telaga Biru, Gorontalo city. This study used cross sectional research design with purposive sampling technique. Total of 34 respondents with hypertension obtained then dianalysis using Chi Square test. The results of show that the calculated X2 value of 18.2 and greater than the X2 table with p value = 0.000 (p<0.05). These findings indicate that role of the family was very influential on the regularity level of treating hypertension patients in the working area of the Telaga Biru Health Center, Gorontalo city. We conclude that regular treatment could improved through the role and duties of the family in controlling patients with hypertension

Abstract

Pengobatan berbagai penyakit saat ini perlahan kembali menerapkan konsep back to nature yakni menggunakan produk herbal untuk menyembuhkan penyakit tidak terkecuali inflamasi. Tembelekan adalah tanaman yang telah lama digunakan seara empiris untuk mengobati penyakit radang. Namun, bukti kemanfaatannya secara ilmiah untuk mengobati inflamasi masih kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antiinflamasi ekstrak metanol daun tembelekan dengan menggunakan metode stabilisasi membran sel arah merah. Kontrol positif yang digunakan adalah natrium diklofenak pada konsentrasi 400 ppm, 600   ppm, 800 ppm dan 1200 ppm sedangkan pada larutan ekstrak digunakan konsentrasi 250 ppm, 500 ppm, 1000 ppm dan 2000 ppm. Pengukuran aktivitas antiinflamasi dihitung berdasarkan persen stabilitasnya. Semakin tinggi nilai % stabiitas, maka dianggap semakin baik efek inflamasinya. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa pada ekstrak dengan konsentrasi 2000 ppm  mempunyai daya stabilitas tertinggi yakni sebesar 62,171%. Dari hasil dapat dilihat bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi ekstrak, maka daya inflamasinya juga semakin baik.Treatment of various diseases is now slowly re-applying draft “back to nature” namely using herbal products for curing disease is no exception inflammation. The smack is plants that have long been used empirically to treat inflammatory disease. However, scientific evidence of its usefulness for treat inflammation is still lacking. This research aims to determine the anti-inflammatory activity of tembelekan leaf methanol extract using the red blood cell membrane stabilization method. Control The positive test used was diclofenac sodium at a concentration of 400 ppm, 600 ppm, 800 ppm and 1200 ppm while in the extract solution used concentrations of 250 ppm, 500 ppm, 1000 ppm and 2000 ppm. Measurement of anti-inflammatory activity was calculated based on percent stability. The higher the stability percentage value, the more good inflammatory effect. The test results show that the extract with a concentration of 2000 ppm has the highest stability, namely by 62.171%. From the results it can be seen that the higher the concentration of extract, then the inflammatory power is also getting better.

Abstract

Bunga telang (Clitoria ternatea) adalah tanaman yang memiliki potensi farmakologis sebagai antioksidan, antimikroba, antiparasit, anti-inflamasi, antikanker, antihistamin. Jeruk kalamansi (Citrus microcarpa) merupakan tanaman yang sangat kaya akan mineral dan vitamin C sehingga sangat baik digunakan untuk bahan baku minuman kesehatan. Sediaan granul effervescent adalah hasil dari gabungan senyawa asam dan basa yang bila ditambahkan dengan air (H2O) akan bereaksi melepaskan karbon dioksida (CO2), sehingga efek ini akan menghasilkan buih pada sediaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memanfaatkan bunga telang dan jeruk kalamansi  sebagai bahan aktif dan untuk menghasilkan sediaan granul effervescent sebagai alternatif minuman kesehatan. Ekstrak bunga telang diperoleh dari metode ekstraksi sederhana dengan cara diblender menggunakan air (1:3). Sari jeruk kalamansi diperoleh dari perasan buahjeruk kalamansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan granul effervescent kombinasi bunga telang dan jeruk kalamansi ini memiliki warna granul putih keunguan dan larutan biru muda bening serta memiliki bau dan rasa kombinasi bunga telang dan jeruk kalamansi, waktu dispersi yang memenuhi persyaratan waktu larut yakni 1 menit 4 detik dan indeks kompresibilitas 13,3%. Berdasarkan penilaian panelis dari parameter tekstur, warna, aroma dan rasa menunjukkan rata-rata 4,3 dengan  kategori suka. Telang flower (Clitoria ternatea) is a plant that has the potential pharmacologically as antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antihistamine. Kalamansi (Citrus microcarpa) is a plant that is very rich in minerals and vitamin C so it is very good for use as raw material for health drinks. Granule preparation effervescent is the result of a combination of acid and base compounds which when added with water (H2O) will react to release carbon dioxide (CO2), so this effect will produce foam on the preparation. The purpose of this research is to utilize the telang flower and calamansi as an active ingredient and to produce granules effervescent as an alternative to health drinks. Pea flower extract obtained from a simple extraction method by means of a blender use water (1:3). Calamansi juice is obtained from the juice calamansi. The results showed that the granule preparations This effervescent combination of telang flower and calamansi has purplish white granule color and clear light blue solution and has the smell and taste of a combination of telang flower and calamansi, time dispersion that meets the requirements for dissolving time of 1 minute 4 seconds and a compressibility index of 13.3%. Based on the panelist's assessment of texture, color, aroma and taste parameters showed an average of 4.3 with likes category.

Abstract

Provinsi Gorontalo merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil jagung, dimana Gorontalo merupakan penghasil jagung terbesar dibandingkan dengan daerah lain di Indonesia. Salah satu jenis jagung yang banyak diproduksi adalah jagung pulo (Zea mays ceratina). Sebagian besar atau seluruh pati jagung pulo adalah amilopektin. Kandungan amilopektin yang tinggi menyebabkan jagung menjadi lengket dan pulen seperti ketan, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan perekat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan potensi jagung pulo sebagai bahan pengikat dalam pembuatan sediaan tablet. Artikel ini dilaksanakan dengan mengumpulkan data-data potensial yang mendukung dan menunjukkan potensi Pulo Jagung (Zea mays certina) untuk digunakan sebagai bahan pengikat pada sediaan tablet melalui tinjauan literatur yang tersedia.Hasil tinjauan pustaka menunjukkan bahwa jagung pulo memiliki kandungan amilopektin yang sangat tinggi dibandingkan dengan jenis jagung lainnya, yaitu 70 persen. Dalam pembuatannya sebagai bahan pengikat tablet, pati jagung pulo (Zea mays certina) harus dibuat dalam bentuk musilago dengan kisaran konsentrasi 5-10%. Cara pembuatannya adalah dengan mensuspensikan pati dengan air. Dalam hal ini, kadar air yang digunakan adalah 11-14%, yang akan menyebabkan tablet berintegrasi dengan cepat. Pembuatannya juga harus hati-hati agar diperoleh musilago yang baik dan tidak terhidrolisis. Dengan hadirnya tepung jagung pulo (Zea mays certina), alternatif pengikat tablet yang lebih ekonomis dan mudah didapat.Gorontalo Province is one of the corn producing areas, where Gorontalo is the largest corn producer compared to with other regions in Indonesia. One of the many types of corn produced is corn pulo (Zea mays ceratina). Most or all Pulo corn starch is amylopectin. Amylopectin content which causes the corn to become sticky and fluffier like sticky rice, so it can be used as an adhesive. This article aims to describe the potential of Pulo corn as a binder in tablet preparation. This article was carried out with collect potential data that supports and shows the potential of Pulo Corn (Zea mays certina) to be used as an ingredient binders in tablet preparations through a review of the available literature. Result literature review shows that Pulo corn contains very high amylopectin compared to other types of corn, that is 70%. In its manufacture as a tablet binder, starch Pulo corn (Zea mays certina) must be made in the form of a musilago with concentration range of 5-10%. The way to make it is by suspend starch with water. In this case, the water content used is 11-14%, which will cause the tablet to integrate quickly. The manufacture must also be careful in order to obtain a good and beautiful musilago not hydrolyzed. With the presence of Pulo corn flour (Zea mays certina), alternative to tablet binders that are more economical and easy to obtain.

Abstract

Testing for Salmonella typhimurium ATCC 14028 using a rapid test kit was carried out in the microbiology and molecular biology testing laboratory of the Food and Drug Administration in Gorontalo. Research using a rapid test kit is a simple study that requires a relatively shorter time than using conventional techniques. The purpose of this study was to see the work of the rapid test kit in detecting Salmonella typhimurium ATCC 14028 spiked on several food processed products. The sample consisted of 12 replications with 6 types of food products including sausages, nuggets, meatballs, otak-otak, tempura and cilok. Positive controls were made from Salmonella typhimurium ATCC 14028 phase 2 cultures, while negative controls used sterilized samples of sausage, nuggets, meatballs, otak-otak, tempura and cilok samples. The concentration of positive control used was taken from turbid work culture and equalized according to Macfarland standard 1. The data analysis was performed qualitatively based on the change in the colour of the kit in the sample which was compared to positive and negative controls. Based on the results of the study, it was found that all samples were detected Salmonella typhimurium ATCC 14028. This study concludes that the rapid test kit can be used to detect Salmonella typhimurium ATCC 14028 in sausage products, nuggets, meatballs, otak-otak, tempura and cilok

Abstract

Preformulasi merupakan tahap awal dalam rangkaian proses pembuatan sediaan farmasi yang berpusat pada sifat-sifat fisika kimia zat aktif serta interaksi dengan komponen lain yang dapat mempengaruhi penampilan obat. Salah satu tahap dalam preformulasi ialah melihat interaksi atau ketidakcampuran bahan-bahan dalam formulasi. Ketidakcampuran atau inkompatibilitas bahan tambahan yang digunakan dapat ditentukan dengan menggunakan software EXC-Sol. Selain inkompatibilitas, software ini dapat menganilisis kebutuhan surfaktan atau emulgator sesuai HLB yang dibutuhkan. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pada formulasi pertama yaitu Carbinoxamini Elixir terdapat inkompatibilitas dengan ditandai warna merah pada hasil analisis dan dapat diperoleh jumlah masing-masing bahan pengemulsi dengan menggunakan nilai HLB pada formulasi kedua yaitu emulsi kurkumin.Preformulation is the initial stage in a series of manufacturing processes pharmaceutical preparations centered on the physicochemical properties of the active substance and interactions with other components that may affect appearance drug. One of the stages in preformulation is to see the interaction or immiscibility of the ingredients in the formulation. Immixture or the incompatibility of the additives used can be determined using the EXC-Sol software. Apart from incompatibility, software It can analyze the need for surfactants or emulsifiers according to HLB required. The experimental results show that in the formulation of the first is Carbinoxamini Elixir, there is an incompatibility with marked in red in the analysis results and can be obtained the number each emulsifier by using the HLB value at the second formulation is curcumin emulsion.
