Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Social Science (IPS) learning planning in elementary schools and its contribution in developing 21st century skills. The research approach used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study are classroom teachers and grade V students in one of the public elementary schools who have implemented a project-based curriculum. The results of the study show that PjBL-based social studies learning planning is carried out by compiling integrative and contextual learning objectives, and actively involving students in projects related to real problems in the surrounding environment. The implementation of PjBL encourages the development of students' critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity skills. Although several obstacles were found such as differences in students' abilities and limited facilities, teachers were able to overcome them through adaptive strategies. In conclusion, the PjBL model is effective in increasing student learning engagement and is relevant to shaping the character and skills needed in the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of technology-based learning on improving the educational communication skills of students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD). Using a descriptive quantitative approach with a simple linear regression survey and analysis method, this study involves students who actively participate in technology-based lectures. The instrument used was in the form of a closed questionnaire that measured two main variables: the intensity of technology use in learning and students' communication skills. The results show that students with a high level of technology utilization tend to have better communication skills. Data analysis showed a significant influence between technology-based learning on communication skills, with a significance value of 0.003 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.452. These findings support Vygotsky's theory of constructivism and Garrison's theory of social presence, that technology-mediated social interactions play an important role in the development of communication competence. Technology-based learning has been proven to be able to create a learning environment that supports the development of students' communication skills effectively and is relevant to the demands of 21st century education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form, strategy, and response of students to the integration of character values in the learning of the Introduction to Education course in the Penjaskesrek Study Program. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that character values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, honesty, sportsmanship, and social care are integrated in learning both explicitly through RPS and implicitly through lecturer examples and participatory methods. The strategies used include reflective discussions, case studies, simulations, and affective assessments such as reflective journals and attitude observations. Students responded positively to the integration of character values, although some expected a more applicable form of implementation outside the classroom. These findings affirm the importance of character strengthening as an integral part of the learning process, especially in forming competent and moral physical educator candidates. This research contributes to the development of holistic learning and is oriented towards the formation of student personalities in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Pancasila Education learning on increasing students' social awareness and nationalism. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, this study involved 100 high school students who had participated in Pancasila Education learning. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire that was validated and tested for reliability. The results of the study show that Pancasila Education learning has a positive and significant influence on both variables, namely social awareness and nationalism. Students who participated in learning with an interactive and contextual approach showed a higher level of empathy, social concern, and a sense of love for the homeland. Regression analysis shows that Pancasila Education learning contributes 42.3% to social awareness and 48.1% to student nationalism. These findings confirm that Pancasila Education not only functions as an instrument of normative knowledge, but also as a medium for the formation of social character and national identity. Therefore, a more applicable and reflective learning approach needs to be developed so that Pancasila values can be internalized more optimally in students' lives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of game-based learning (GBL) as a creative strategy for early childhood teachers in developing early childhood social-emotional competencies in the era of Independent Learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to explore the learning practices carried out by teachers in several PAUD institutions, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that GBL was applied through various educational games such as role plays, emotional cards, and group cooperation, which were designed to train empathy, emotion management, and children's relational skills. Teachers play an active role as facilitators who accompany the play process, as well as conduct reflective evaluations of children's development. Games that are carried out in a structured manner have been proven to have a positive impact on children's ability to interact socially and manage feelings. The teacher's creative strategy is also reflected in the use of simple game tools and traditional game modifications. This research confirms that GBL is a relevant and effective approach in the context of Freedom of Learning, as well as supporting the development of early childhood character in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the choice of student reading books that are directed to support their professional goals. A descriptive qualitative approach is used to explore preferences, motivations, and factors that influence students in choosing reading. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document review on students from various study programs. The results show that the majority of students choose books that are relevant to the field of work they want to pursue, such as practical management, education, and applied technology. The dominant factors that affect the selection are the relevance of the content to career, lecturer recommendations, and the availability of books in the library. However, a gap was found between the needs of students and the available reading collection, especially in the current and applicative aspects. Students also develop independent strategies in finding alternative reading sources digitally. These findings confirm the importance of information literacy and the support of educational institutions in providing professional reading according to their needs. This study recommends strengthening the professional literacy ecosystem through improving library collections, digital literacy training, and recognition of students' independent learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in mathematics learning and its impact on improving the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of teachers and grade V students in one of the elementary schools in Medan City. The results of the study show that the RME approach is implemented through the stages of presenting contextual problems, mathematical modeling, and reflection. This approach encourages students' active involvement in the thought process and group discussions. The consistent implementation of RME results in improvements in students' critical thinking indicators, such as the ability to identify problems, provide logical reasons, evaluate solutions, and draw conclusions. In addition, students show higher enthusiasm and motivation to learn because the learning material is considered more relevant to their lives. These findings suggest that the integration of the RME approach can be an effective strategy in developing students' critical thinking skills early on, as well as supporting meaningful learning in accordance with the principles of a competency-based and character-based curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of English language learning and science exploration in an effort to develop early childhood multilingual literacy. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used to explore learning practices in one of the PAUD institutions that implemented hands-on experience-based thematic learning. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed thematically. The results of the study show that the integration of English in science exploration activities is able to improve the understanding and use of foreign language vocabulary contextually by children. Children show progress in recognizing vocabulary, responding to instructions, and using language in the context of experiments or play activities. In addition, this approach encourages the growth of curiosity and active involvement of children in the learning process. However, the limitations of teachers in English proficiency and the need for parental involvement are challenges in themselves. This study emphasizes the importance of cross-disciplinary learning design that is contextual, applicative, and in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood development to build the foundation of multilingual literacy from an early age.

Abstract

This study analyzes project management practices and proposes strategic recommendations to minimize time addendums in the implementation of the Community-Based Sanitation (Sanimas) activities in Langkat Regency. Sanimas, initiated by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, aims to expand access to proper sanitation through community participation. Despite its achievements, the program has faced execution challenges, particularly related to time constraints under the self-managed construction model. The research employs the Critical Path Method (CPM) to identify key activities affecting project duration. Findings indicate that delays in procurement and construction stages significantly contributed to the extension of project timelines beyond the stipulated 90 days. The total project duration based on the CPM analysis was found to be 47 days for critical path activities. This study recommends strengthening the capacity of Community-Based Implementation Team, enhancing coordination with stakeholders, integrating risk-based scheduling, and institutionalizing post-project evaluations. These strategic improvements are essential for ensuring timely and efficient implementation of future Sanimas projects.

Abstract

Fiduciary duty is a fundamental principle in modern corporate law that requires directors to act in good faith, with due care, and prioritize the interests of the company over personal interests. In the Indonesian context, this obligation has been regulated normatively through Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies and Law Number 8 of 1995 concerning Capital Markets. However, the implementation of fiduciary duty still faces various obstacles, both in terms of legal norms and judicial and capital market practices. This study uses a normative legal method with a statutory, conceptual, and comparative approach. The data used are primary legal materials such as laws, Financial Services Authority regulations, and court decisions, as well as secondary legal materials in the form of literature, scientific journals, and previous research results. The analysis was conducted qualitatively normatively through legal interpretation and construction. The results of the study indicate that although fiduciary duty has a legal basis, its implementation remains weak. From a corporate law perspective, the standards for implementing the duty of care and duty of loyalty remain unclear, making it difficult for minority shareholders to hold directors accountable. In judicial practice, the application of fiduciary duty is often inconsistent due to varying standards of proof. Meanwhile, from a capital market perspective, violations such as insider trading and conflicts of interest involving nominee directors remain rampant, which cannot be fully controlled by the Financial Services Authority (OJK)'s oversight mechanisms.
