INDRA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (p-ISSN: 2723-2859; e-ISSN: 2723-2840) merupakan salah satu jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Farmasi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Mataram. Jurnal ini merupakan terbitan berkala nasional yang memuat artikel dari hasil diseminasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang berbasis research dalam bidang kesehatan. INDRA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat diharapkan dapat menjadi media untuk menyampaikan temuan, inovasi dan penerapan teknologi ilmiah dibidang kesehatan yang didukung oleh para praktisi di bidang kesehatan. INDRA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat diterbitkan 2 kali dalam setahun yaitu Bulan April dan September. Redaksi mengundang para pemerhati kesehatan untuk menuangkan gagasan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berbasis research dalam rangka meningkatkan profesional diri dan tanggung jawab terhadap pendidikan bangsa. Jurnal ini terbit pertama bulan April 2020 dengan identitas terbitan Vol 1 No 1 (2020) sebagai syarat pengajuan E-ISSN. INDRA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat merupakan jurnal peer reveiwer dan open acces journal yang berfokus pada kesehatan. Fokus ini meliputi daerah dan ruang lingkup seperti keperawatan, kebidanan, Fisioterapi, Farmasi, gizi masyarakat, dan kesehatan masyarakat.

Abstract

Indonesian people have used herbal plants for generations to overcome health problems, but some people are still lacking in obtaining health services. Tenggareng hamlet, North Jenggik Village, Montong Gading Dstrict, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the hamlets that has not optimized the yard as land for growing herbal plants. The yard house is suitable land for planting various types of plants. The purpose of this activities was to increase the knowledge of the community, especially about the cultivation and use of medicinal plants. The method used in this community services were lecturing and discussion method. Involving 42 participants. The results of community services are increasing people knowledge and skills related to the planting and utilization of herbal plants. This can be seen from the occurrence of interactive discussions. In conclusion, by conducting socialization and utilization of Family Medicinal Plants can increase public understanding to optimize Family Medicinal Plants.

Abstract

The Clean and Healthy Life Behaviour Program (PHBS) is a  community program designed  to improve the health standard of the community starting from the closest aspect, namely in the family or household. The Clean and Healthy Life Behaviour Program (PHBS) household aspect has 10 main indicators that must be implemented. The East Lombok Regency has a percentage of 47.88% in implementing PHBS, in other words PHBS in the area is still low. Because of the low implementation rate, it is necessary to carry out counselling on PHBS with the aim of knowing  the community of Sembalun Timba Gading Village’s understanding regarding PHBS. The method used in this study is observation related to sanitation problems in Sembalun Timba Gading Village, distributing questionnaires, and conducting counseling. Based on the results of filling out the questionnaire, it was found that the implementation rate of child delivery that is assisted by health workers is (100%); using clean water (100%); healthy latrines (100%), exclusive breastfeeding (85%); weighing the baby every month (80%); washing hands with soap (80%); eradicating mosquito larvae (85%); consuming fruit and vegetables (40%); not smoking (45%); and doing physical activity everyday is 65%. The conclusion of this counseling is that the implementation of PHBS in Sembalun Timba Gading Village is quite good, although the PHBS indicators have not been fully implemented by the local community.

Abstract

Clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in the household order is to empower household members to know, be willing and able to practice and play an active role in the health movement in the community. PHBS in household order has 10 indicators that must be implemented. Teluk Dalem Hamlet in Medana Village has not yet fully implemented PHBS so that a PHBS extension work program is still being planned. The purpose of the counseling is to increase awareness and empowerment of the community in PHBS in Teluk Dalem Hamlet, Medana Village, Tanjung District, North Lombok Regency. The method used is counseling and evaluation monitoring in Teluk Dalem Hamlet by providing materials, discussions, questions and answers and demonstrations. The results of filling out the PHBS questionnaire were births by health workers (100%); exclusive breastfeeding (80%); weigh the baby every month (70%); use of clean water (85%); wash hands with soap (60%); house free from mosquito larvae (40%); consumption of fruit and vegetables (70%); physical activity (50%); no smoking in the house (25%); and use of healthy latrines (75%). The conclusion in this community service can have an impact on increasing the health status of Teluk Dalem Hamlet, Medana Village, among others, increasing public knowledge about clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), and being able to practice good handwashing behavior so as to avoid various diseases.

Abstract

Television is one of the modern mass media that has the potential to convey information to the public and can also shape and build a person's character and behavior. Not only national media, but local media also play an important role in health education activities. In commemoration of World Hearing Day, Unram Hospital cooperates with local station TVRI NTB to hold a health program through the “Sehat Bugar” program providing education about ear and hearing health as a promotive and preventive effort. The purpose of holding this activity is to raise high awareness among individuals, especially the young millennial generation, regarding their daily attitudes in order to maintain healthy ears and hearing. The activities of the millennial generation who like to listen to music with earphones at a loud volume and for a long period of time can be at risk of hearing loss. The presence of hearing loss is often not realized because they are used to ignoring ear health. Hearing loss can cause barriers to communication and have an impact on a person's quality of life. Therefore, cleanliness and ear health  are  important things that must always be considered and maintained. As an evaluation, this health education activity can be accepted by the community. In practice, the live streaming of this television program has been watched 624 times. In addition, this can also be used as an evaluation to carry out health education activities better in the future.

Abstract

Swamedikasi atau self-medication adalah penggunaan obat-obatan tanpa resep oleh seseorang atas inisiatifnya sendiri. Swamedikasi biasanya digunakan untuk mengatasi keluhan-keluhan penyakit ringan yang banyak dialami masayarakat, seperti demam, nyeri, pusing, batuk, influenza, sakit maag, diare, penyakit kulit. Swamedikasi dilakukan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan keterjangkauan pengobatan. Pengobatan yang tidak rasional kerap terjadi pada swamedikasi. Hasil survei pendahuluan pada masyarakat dusun Balekuwu tentang penggunaan obat, masyarakat pada umumnya mengatasi penyakitnya dengan mengobati sendiri karena pengaruh iklan atau meniru teman, keluarga atau tetangga. Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Kesehatan telah mencanangkan Gerakan Masyarakat Cerdas Menggunakan Obat (Gema Cermat). Kegiatan pengabdian Gema Cermat dilakukan kepada masyarakat Dusun Balekuwu, Desa Gunungsari, Kecamatan Gunungsari, Lombok Barat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode sosialisasi secara tatap muka (face-to-face) kepada masyarakat di Dusun Balekuwu. Melalui kegiatan sosialisasi ini, masyarakat dusun Balekuwu mendapatkan informasi tentang cara menggunakan obat dengan baik.

Abstract

Medicinal plants can be used as a raw material for jamu. Medicinal plants can grow freely anywhere. One of the famous villages with extensive agricultural land and a lot of agricultural products, including abundant local plants, is Batu Kumbung Village. Batu Kumbung Village is one of the villages located in Kecamatan Lingsar, Lombok Barat, West Nusa Tenggara. Most people in Batu Kumbung Village have a lower knowledge about the potential of local plants in this village. The purpose of this socializing is to educate villagers about the potential of local plants to be developed to be herbal medicine. The implementation of this socializing activity consists of three methods such as; 1) observation, 2) socializing, and 3) demonstration of how to make jamu. Based on the socializing activities, so many villagers are enthusiastic about participating in the activity, there are some people interested in using local plants for making jamu, and all of the audience can understand how to make a healthy drink or jamu based on local plants. The end of this socializing, can be concluded that the socializing about how to make jamu based on local plants in Batu Kumbung Village was successful, the villagers were very enthusiastic, and the audience know how to make a healthy drink or Jamu. This socializing is expected to improve the ability of people’s to understand about how the production of medicinal plants in Batu Kumbung Village.
