Literatify : Trends in Library Developments is an academic journal that publishes the current issues regarding library developments. The journal is a bi-annual publication that is officially organized and published by UPT Perpustakaan in collaboration with Jurusan Ilmu Perpustakaan UIN Alauddin Makassar. The journal is provided for librarians, subject analysts, library science students, information specialists, information managers, researchers who need or are interested in keeping up to date with the most recent issues and developments in libraries. We regularly publish the issues in March and September. The journal only accepts research-based papers. All submitted papers will initially review by journal editors and if it was matched with the journal scope, the paper will be then sent to our peer-reviewers. We only accept manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.

Abstract

Libraries must know and fulfill every information needs of their users. This descriptive study wants to find out strategies for meeting information needs and the obstacles experienced by users in meeting information needs at the Makassar Islamic and Arabic Language College Library (STIBA)? Research data was obtained from informants who are users. The results of the study indicate that the STIBA library has tried to meet the information needs of its users while the constraints experienced by librarians in meeting the needs of users are budget constraints.

Abstract

Elementary school libraries are an integral part and one of the learning sources in school. Its role in supporting the learning process is highly expected. This paper describes the improvement of library management at SD Negeri 69 Balang-Balang’s Library, West Sinjai, based on the practice of fieldwork carried out for almost a month in the location. During that time, direct observation and interaction with the objects were carried out. As result, generally, some of the objects that have been improved are spatial planning and management of collections and other resources in the library. In addition, the library is also suggested to be able to design programs regarding developing reading interest for the students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas “Pelestarian Bahan Pustaka Pasca Banjir Bandang di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto”. Rumusan masalah yaitu (1) Bagaimana usaha dan bentuk pelestarian bahan pustaka yang dilakukan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto, (2) Bagaimana proses pelestarian bahan pustaka pasca banjir bandang di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto, (3) apa saja kendala yang dihadapi dalam proses pelestarian pasca banjir bandang di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto. Tujuan penelitian yaitu (1) Untuk mengetahui usaha dan bentuk pelestarian bahan pustaka yang dilakukan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto, (2) Untuk mengetahui proses pelestarian bahan pustaka pasca banjir bandang di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto, (3) Untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi dalam proses pelestarian pasca banjir bandang di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam bentuk reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan untuk memperoleh hasil akhir.Dari hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diketahui bahwa (1) Usaha dan bentuk pelestarian bahan pustaka pasca banjir bandang di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto yaitu berusaha untuk menyelamatkan bahan pustaka yang telah terendam air dan lumpur melalui pelestarian bahan pustaka dalam bentuk preservasi. (2) Proses pelestarian bahan pustaka pasca banjir bandang di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Kabupaten Jeneponto, selain untuk menyelamatkan buku, juga untuk menyelamatkan informasi yang terkandung di dalamnya serta proses pelestarian bahan pustaka ini memiliki 4 tahapan. (3) Kendala-kendala yang dihadapi yaitu Dana, Minimnya pengetahuan staf tentang kegiatan pelestarian pasca banjir dan kurangnya peralatan yang dimiliki.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the school literacy movement on increasing students' digital literacy at SMPN 1 Tompobulu, Gowa district. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research located at SMPN 1 Tompobulu, Gowa Regency. The source of data in this study is primary data, namely the method of data collection using a questionnaire method distributed to all students at SMPN 1 Tompobulu, Gowa district. The number of samples used were 81 respondents, with primary data processing using analytical techniques with the help of SPSS statistical software version 22. The results of this study indicate that the school literacy movement has a positive and significant effect on increasing students' digital literacy at SMPN 1 Tompobulu, Gowa Regency by 0.811 or 81.1% while the remaining 18.9% is explained by other variables not examined in this study. . School literacy activities are complex in shaping the ability of students at SMPN 1 Tompobulu to start thinking analytically, systematically, evaluatively, critically, imaginatively and creatively so that the implementation of digital literacy is considered a very important part in the activities of the school literacy movement.

Abstract

Peran perpustakaan sebagai penunjang riset (penelitian) menjadi perhatian lebih di dalam Perguruan Tinggi Komponen utama yang berperan dalam pengembangan perpustakaan adalah pustakawan. Pustakawan sebagai pengembang dan pemelihara koleksi tidak hanya melayani peminjaman dan pengembalian buku, namun pustakawan dituntut untuk mampu menjadi penghubung atau jembatan ilmu pengetahuan yang berkembang pesat saat ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian digambarkan secara deskriptif dengan melakukan observasi, kemudian melakukan wawancara kepada pustakawan. Adapun hasil penelitian memberikan gambaran peran pustakawan sebagai edukator (edukasi dan pelatihan), manajer informasi, dan admistrator dalam mendukung iklim riset di UIN Alauddin Makassar.
