Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the 21st century that is growing rapidly so that schools are required to change teaching-centered learning approaches into student-centered learning approaches. Learning physics at SMAN 7 Padang is not student-centered. To create student-centered learning, it takes contextual learning resources and environmental literacy. Real conditions indicate the application of CTL and environmental literacy is still relatively low. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of validity and practicality of textbooks that are made for wave material. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) according to Sugiyono. The research instrument used was an instrument of validity validated by 3 physics lecturers consisting of 6 components and 57 aspects assessed. The practicality instrument that was practiced by 2 teachers and students at SMAN 7 Padang consisted of 4 components and 37 aspects that were assessed. Based on the results of data from the validity analysis obtained an average value of 92.46 with excellent category. The results of the analysis of the practicality of teachers and students obtained an average value of 89.16 and 92.26 also in the excellent category. So, it can be concluded that textbooks integrate CTL and environmental literacy in the material of mechanical waves and wave equations are valid and practical for high school students in class XI. So the textbook is feasible to use.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires the use of diverse learning resources and can help students learn independently. Especially for physics learning that has characteristics connecting learning material with everyday contexts or contextual nature. The fact found in the field, that the learning resources used are textbooks and do not use everyday contexts. CTL-based e-modules can represent learning resources that are suitable for learning physics and help students learn independently. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in student learning outcomes using CTL-based E-modules with physics textbooks in SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study consisted of two sample classes with a total of 36 students each class. The results of the study were conducted normality test and homogeneity test, it was proven that the data of both sample classes were normally distributed and homogeneous. Two similarity tests of the average for all aspects of learning outcomes, carried out at a real level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom dk 70 for all three aspects with each ttabel is 1.9900 obtained on the knowledge aspect of thitung is 2.9977, on the attitude aspect thitung is 3.4425 and in the skill aspect thitung is 2.2901. From these results it is known that thitung> ttabel. This means that classes using CTL-based E-modules have higher learning outcomes than classes that use physics textbooks. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the average learning outcomes of the use of CTL-based E-modules in Class X students of SMA Negeri 12 Padang.

Abstract

There are several processes in education, one of which is the curriculum. The curriculum is a tool to achieve educational objectives Without an appropriate and appropriate curriculum it will be difficult to achieve the educational goals and objectives to be achieved. As a useful tool for achieving a goal, the curriculum should be able to adapt to changing times and advances in science and the sophistication of technological developments. In 2013 the Indonesian government published a new curriculum called the 2013 curriculum to create a generation ready to face the challenges of the future. The purpose of the 2013 Curriculum itself is to prepare Indonesian people to have the ability to live as individuals who are faithful, productive, creative, innovative and affective citizens and are able to contribute to the life of society, nation, state and world civilization.Among the keys to success that determine the successful implementation of the 2013 Curriculum are learning facilities and resources. Thus, textbooks are still a very important source of learning for studentsMaterials or learning materials are basically the "content" of the curriculum, namely in the form of subjects or fields of study with topics / subtopics and their details. The 2013 Curriculum has a National Education Standard which is the goal in achieving the 2013 Curriculum. According to the BNSP, the National Education Standards serve as the basis for planning, implementing and supervising education in order to realize quality national education. The National Education Standards which are used as guidelines in assessing the suitability of curriculum objectives in high school Physics teaching materials which include 6 components, including compliance with Graduate Competency Standards, Core Competencies, Basic Competencies, Scientific Approach, Authentic Assessment and Local Content for learning objectives in the curriculum can be achieved. The results of this research are the material conformity of SMA / MA Physics with the curriculum objectives in class X semester 1 is 86%, class XI semester 2 is 89%, class XI semester 1 is 90%, class XI semester 2 is 93%, class XII semester 1 is 93% and class XII semester 2 is 88% with the whole semester getting the "very suitable" category. It can be concluded that the level of suitability of the SMA / MA Physics material with the Curriculum Objectives is 90% included in the "very suitable" category. This means that the Physics material for SMA / MA in each semester is in accordance with the Curriculum Objectives.

Abstract

Based of Indonesian UNBK, 2019 West Sumatra province’s physics scores is 48.29, which is relatively low. And the analysis results of two high school physics textbooks in the city of Padang, using indicator of creative thinking ability assessment, is 46% (category : “less”). So, the two books do not support creative thinking abilities of students. One of the solutions is to make a physics module based on ability to think creatively. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of the physics module based on the ability to think creatively, on the subject of temperature, heat and kinetic theory of class XI high school students. Conducted research was Research and Development (R&D) type. The validity test was conducted by 3 experts using a validation sheet containing an assessment of several components, feasibility of the content, the feasibility of construction, the component of inquiry, the feasibility of the language, the feasibility of the module display and the feasibility of creative thinking skills. Based on data analysis, the average validation value obtained was 86% with a very valid category. It can be concluded that the module based on the ability to think creatively is very valid for use in learning physics class XI high school.
