Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors behind the literacy difficulties of undergraduate mathematics in online literacy at SMAN 1 Kampar Kiri Hilir. The subjects in this study were class XI wisdom students at SMAN 1 Kampar Kiri Hilir for the academic year 2021/2022 and class XI wisdom students with a population of 68 ulama consisting of 15 male and 53 female scholars. This form of exploration is descriptive qualitative. The data collection method in this study was carried out using a check system, videlicet, by distributing online questionnaires through Google Forms which were transferred via WhatsApp Group. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that online literacy is carried out. Overall, there are 50 who find it difficult in the online tutoring and literacy process. 48.53 students find it difficult in the network aspect of sharing in the online tutoring and literacy process, 41.18 students have difficulty in the high order when sharing in the online learning process. In tutoring and online literacy, 45,59 students have difficulty understanding the material guided by school teachers, 92,65 students have difficulty installing communication either in the form of laptops or androids, 80,88 students have difficulty communicating with teachers

Abstract

This study aims to see the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model's effect on the mathematics learning result of eighth-grade students of State Junior High School 21 (SJHS) Dumai. The quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group approach are proposed in this research. Purposive sampling was the correct technique to complete the study. To know which one was the best, two classes were used to compare the learning result. One type used CPS, and others used conventional learning. The data collection instrument was in the form of pretest and posttest questions. The data collection technique in this study was done by using a test technique. Data analysis were normality, homogeneity, t-test. The results showed an effect of CPS on the mathematics learning outcomes of the experimental and control class students. Results showed that a significant difference was acquired between CPS and conventional learning. This can be seen from t-count > t-table which is 4.47 > 1.67. Following the criteria, H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted. The conclusion was a significant effect of the CPS learning model on the mathematics learning results of eighth-grade students of SJHS 21 Dumai

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of students' mathematical reasoning abilities through Macromedia flash digital learning media. Learning media is an educational product that can bridge students' interest in learning mathematics so that with this interest, they can increase their mathematical thinking skills at a higher level. The population of this study was students of SMPN Rokun Hulu. The research sample was one of the junior high schools in Rokan Hulu Regency, which was selected purposively according to the problems found in the field, namely SMPN 1 Ujungbatu. The research instrument is an essay test. Research data analysis using quantitative descriptive data analysis, correlational, and paired t-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between ordinary learning used by teachers and learning using Macromedia flash digital media. These results can be seen from the results of the descriptive test and paired t-test with a significance of 0.00. These results indicate that Macromedia flash-based digital learning media effectively improves the reasoning of SMPN 1 Ujungbatu students

Abstract

This study aims to qualitatively and quantitatively describe the effectiveness of learning mathematics in the covid era in private and public elementary schools. The population of this research is elementary school students in Pekanbaru. The research sample was two Pekanbaru elementary schools which were selected purposively according to the problems studied based on the school's style or strategy in improving learning outcomes. The research instrument is in the form of documentation of student learning outcomes and in-depth interviews with the principals of each school. Analysis of research data using independent t-test and descriptive qualitative data analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference between elementary school mathematics learning in private and public schools in implementing mathematics learning. These results can be seen from the results of the descriptive test and the independent t-test with a significance of 0.00 where the private mathematics learning outcomes are better than the public ones. From the results of interviews obtained information that private schools provide additional lessons to students by coming to students' homes.

Abstract

This study aimed to check the differences in MCTS between students using the 7-E Learning Cycle and students using the direct learning model. An experimental type was used with a quasi-experimental approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. A normality test was carried out to see the study results. A homogeneity test was conducted using the sample's standard deviation and class average. A t-test was performed to determine the differences between the two classes. Results showed differences in MCTS between students learning the 7-E Learning Cycle model and direct learning with the t-count value of 4.83, the average value of the practical class is 88 .04. The average value of the control class is 71.32. The results of this study are one of the results that show that the MCTS of students can be improved with appropriate and supportive learning models.
