Psikologia: Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi is a peer-reviewed scientific journal in psychology, managed by the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Sumatera Utara. The journal aims to accommodate the exchange of ideas among Indonesian psychologists and scientists, but also to disseminate their scientific propositions and empirical findings to the global community. Since 2016, the journal has been published in an electronic form to facilitate the rapid dissemination of research findings. The journal focuses on bringing psychological science theory, empirical evidence, and practice to explain and provide solutions to social and behavioral problems that are especially relevant but not limited to Indonesian society. As such, we accept a wide range of research domains in psychology, including social psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, educational psychology, developmental psychology, and clinical psychology. We believe that human behaviors and societal problems can be approached through various methodologies. For this reason, we accept not only sound and reproducible quantitative studies but also the rich narratives of qualitative inquiries. We also encourage the mix of both methodologies. By considering that most psychological research has been conducted among WEIRD (Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic) samples, we believe that it is important to test and replicate mainstream psychological theories and findings among Indonesian in particular and other non-WEIRD societies in general. As such, we promote not only new and novel ideas but also studies that are aimed to validate mainstream psychological theories and research

Abstract

The present study examines the role of resilience as a mediator between the relationship of academic self-concept with self-adjustment among students with disabilities during the covid 19 pandemic. The results of this correlational study (N = 92 students with disabilities) showed that students with disabilities who possess a more positive academic self-concept tended to be more resilient than their peers with a lower positive academic self-concept. Highly resilient students, in turn, tended to be better self-adjusted than their lesser resilient counterparts. Mediation analysis suggested that resilience partially mediated the relationship between academic self-concept with self-adjustment. Keywords: academic self-concept, disabled students, adjustment, resilience Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang peran resiliensi sebagai mediator antara hubungan konsep diri akademik dengan penyesuaian diri pada mahasiswa difabel selama masa pandemi covid 19. Hasil penelitian korelasional ini (N = 92 siswa penyandang disabilitas) menunjukkan bahwa siswa penyandang disabilitas yang memiliki konsep diri akademik yang lebih positif cenderung lebih resilien dibandingkan mereka yang memiliki konsep diri akademik yang kurang positif. Siswa yang memiliki resiliensi tinggi, pada gilirannya, cenderung dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan lebih baik daripada mereka yang kurang resilien. Analisis mediasi menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi secara parsial memediasi hubungan antara konsep diri akademik dengan penyesuaian diri. Abstract

This study examines the relationship between human and computer interactions in educational psychology. This study used simple random sampling. participants in this study collected 100 participants who used the mind map learning method in the Educational Psychology course in Medan. Analysis of the data in this study using Spearman correlation produces a significance value of 0.695 with an r-value of 0.040. The results of this study indicate insignificant relationship between human and computer interaction and educational psychology which is used through the use of applications for complex learning materials for educational psychology courses.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of engaging leadership on work engagement with positive affect as a mediating variable on Islamic Bank employees in Medan City. This study used a quantitative method using questionnaires and involved 100 Islamic Bank employees in Medan City. There are three measuring tools used in this study, namely variables measuring engaging leadership scale (ELS), Utrecht Work Engagement (UWES) and Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). The data obtained were processed using IBM Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) and hypothesis testing by WarpPLS 7.0. The results showed that positive affect had a role as a mediator in the relationship between engaging leadership and work engagement for Islamic Bank employees in Medan City (p = 0.000 < 0.05).

Abstract

Music therapy can be used to increase a person's verbal creativity. This study aims to describe music therapy increases verbal creativity. There are four research questions, namely: 1) Who is the subject who uses music therapy to increase verbal creativity, 2) What kind of music is used to increase verbal creativity, 3) How does music therapy play a role in increasing verbal creativity, 4) How does the success rate of music therapy increase verbal creativity. There were 11 kinds of literature reviewed in this study. Recommendations for further SLR research can be discussed regarding the views of counselors/therapists regarding music therapy for verbal creativity, improving the skills of music therapists using certain approaches, and developing music therapy for verbal creativity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the description of students' organizational motivation and the factors that influence it. The subjects in the study were four students from the management of LDK Al-Ihsan UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The method of data collection was done by interview technique. The results showed that the subject's organizational motivation was high and all factors influenced the organizational motivation of the student administrators of LDK Al-Ihsan UIN Antasari Banjarmasin.
