Abstract

Spiritual discipline consists of two things, namely the discipline of commitment that is planned by humans to train themselves and the divine discipline that is planned by God for the good of believers. Divine Discipline is a manifestation of God's upbringing for believers or disciples of Christ, a form of discipline to express His love and justice. Discipline to express His love means that God wills that everyone who has received grace does not distance himself from that love or is known as apostasy. Then the discipline to declare His justice aims to educate every believer to keep their faith until the end of their lives and help believers to maintain the grace of God that He has provided.

Abstract

Parmenides’ seamless equidistant view of reality, interpreted epistemologically, anticipates the projection of human perceptions and values onto an impervious surface that remains unknowable in itself. Parmenides’ singular reality as an epistemological surface has an analogue in the contemporary image of our blue orb, the world, on which numerous projections are cast within human life. This article commences with Karl Popper’s observations of Parmenides as a necessary but mistaken view of cosmology and segues to epistemological possibilities expressed as projections of perception onto a Parmenidean idea of our world as a unity. Popper’s methodological conjecture and refutation informs a self-critical heuristic aspect to this scene as a source. The impetus of this study enhances the value of both Christian resources for human dignity and social principles of Pancasila toward social harmony and flourishing.

Abstract

In Christian religious education (PAK) learning must have a purpose that leads to transformation in both knowledge and faith. Pak's goal is to develop the ability of learners to obey and devotion to God and His word, expressed in daily life, both in the family, church, congregation and community. But the change and development of the times, the entry of new cultures and other factors began to erode the morale of students. The phenomenon that occurs in Satap Langira State Junior High School is the presence of students who are pregnant out of wedlock, ditching behavior, smoking in school, drinking alcoholic beverages in the school environment, which affects the emergence of immoral behavior. Therefore, PAK teachers seek strategies in teaching PAK in order to overcome existing moral decadence. The method used in this study is a method of decryptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The data analysis technique used is data trianggulation with data collection techniques, namely interviews, field observations and documentation. The result found that the pak teacher's strategy in overcoming moral decadence is to strengthen the "truth" of faith through the cultivation of noble Christian values and in line with existing moral values. In addition, the teacher is also an exemplary person who is able to give a positive influence to learners. The approach is a personal approach. A personal approach is taken when certain students experience problems both in learning and in association. Teachers also put themselves as motivators who are able to inspire students in doing many things related to association and lessons.

Abstract

Home is the main place and the first environment for children to get education since they are born into the world. During this pandemic, people's conditions are getting worse. The house becomes the center of education, through which spiritual values are instilled so that children's behavior can develop and have an impact on everyone. With education carried out at home, the growth and development of children can be monitored properly. The house is also a place of worship in everyday life. A child will follow the behavior at home so that family members must be role models in instilling spiritual values. Education and worship in the family can shape the character and spirituality of children. Based on the explanation above, a question arises which is the formulation of the problem, namely: Why is the house a center of education and a place of worship? How can every Christian family play a role in the home to provide education to children and carry out worship with the family so that children can gain knowledge and spiritual growth? Through literature or literature research, it can provide understanding for all parents in building a house as an educational center and a place of worship.
