Focus and Scope Jurnal Perempuan dan Anak (JPA) merupakan media komunikasi dan informasi terkait dengan perempuan dan anak. Abstract

One of the traditions in Java in the life cycle is the tradition of dripping or female circumcision, especially at the age of 8-12 years. The various meanings of this dripping tradition are, for example, a sign of maturity, avoiding bad things and getting good fortune. At present, the dripping tradition has been abandoned by many Javanese people. Moreover, there is some information that drops are not good for health. However, this tradition must be maintained and preserved. The purpose of this study is to find out an overview of the dripping tradition in Central Java, especially Central Java and Yogyakarta. Moreover, there are differences in the implementation of the drip for ordinary people and the Yogyakarta Palace. The research method used is the historical method. As expressed by Kuntowijoyo in his book Introduction to History which states that the historical research method has five stages, namely topic selection, heuristics (source gathering), source criticism (verification, interpretation, and historical writing (historiography). The results of this study are how practice is the tradition of dripping in Central Java, namely Central Java and Yogyakarta, especially for ordinary people and the Yogyakarta Palace. The procedures for ordinary people are relatively ordinary while at the Yogyakarta Palace it is classified as complex because there are rules. And also, this drip is included in the oral tradition because it is tied to beliefs, meanings, symbols, norms, and customs that describe the meaning of this dripping tradition.

Abstract

Poverty is still a problem in urban areas. Limited skills and employment have caused women from poor families to also seek work as scavengers or collectors of waste and used goods to help support their family's economy. This study aims to find the characteristics of female scavengers in responding to the phenomenon of poor women in fulfilling their family's economy. The involvement of children under five in the scavenging process is also a review in finding the distribution of gender roles in scavenger households. This research was conducted in Makassar City using a qualitative approach. Data was obtained from 25 families of female scavengers. The results of the study found that female scavengers aged between 23 and 45 years with an education level of not having finished elementary school were 20%. graduated from elementary school 72% and junior high school 8%. Age of family between 4 to 18 years, with an average dependent of 3 children. In scavenging activities involving children aged between 1 and 5 years which is a domestic role and a strategy to get additional income from the compassion of the community. The average income of a scavenger family is between Rp. 1,200.00 to Rp. 2,050,000. Family expenses consist of basic needs in the form of consumption 28.5%, needs for children under five 24.4% and paying debts 13.3%. Scavenger women make an economic contribution to the family between 40% and 77%. The involvement of children under five in the scavenging process is a form of child exploitation, which has not yet become the attention of the Makassar city government. Abstract

Over-admiring public characters, which often happens there is a lack of action or deeds because they are still adults who have not been adult, other effects in the real world usually someone who has been obsessed will vary a couple like the idol, to be the high criteria or the standard of the couple who should be exactly the idol. On the other hand, there is a waste if it meets or follows the idol style, or buy all the products in advertising or more known by the endorse by the artist. Phenomena of young people today, we can see the Mudayang boy imitating his idol style, the lands of even exit of Islamic Sharia. This is what the writer is interested in reviewing in depth initiative to live as much information to know what law is in the perspective of Islam, in terms of mental health, what if someone likes his opposite sexes, what is the advantage they get, we will learn from many sources, this is very interesting considering the idolizing a person or a grub again rally among the people especially young people.

Abstract

Progressive women is a term that refers to women who have succeeded in achieving success in various fields, such as education, career, and social life. The keywords in the concept of progressive women are "success" and "various fields". Progressive women have proven that they are able to pursue their dreams and achieve their life goals, which can be an inspiration for many people, especially for other women who want to pursue their dreams and achieve their life goals as well. However, progressive women also often face various challenges and obstacles in achieving success.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of cinematic therapy short films in increasing self-esteem among teenagers in the X community who experience fatherlessness in the Sepatan area. The research method used was experimental with a pretest-posttest control group research design and used a paired sample t-test. The sample in this study were teenagers from the X community in the Sepatan area. The results of the paired sample t-test obtained a value (p) of 0.000 in the experimental group, p<0.05 so that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, meaning that subjects who were given film therapy experienced an increase in self-esteem. Meanwhile, in the control group, the value (p) was 0.003, p<0.05, so H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, meaning that subjects who were not given cinematic therapy short films also experienced an increase in self-esteem. In conclusion, cinematic therapy short films have an influence on increasing self-esteem but it is not significant
