Abstract

This paper talks about the economic theory of institutions and public policy which has recently become a broad topic discussed and applied to various fields of public policy. In the course of economic history, market failures have occurred. That is the occurrence of a distortion in the direction of balance which has an impact on the market's inability to fulfill all community needs, in addition to the emergence of property rights. Institutional Economics consists of 2 (two) parts namely the Old Institutional Economy and the New Institutional Economy. This paper discusses new institutional economics with various case examples. such as the concept of Bounded Rationality, Asymmetric Information, Principal Agent Theory, Institutional Change, Social Change, Right Property, Hierarchy, Integration, Corporate Governance and Profit Sharing

Abstract

A trader's business condition with a fairly high income uncertainty factor has an impact on the level of welfare and inequality that occur in the trader's community. The number of respondents selected to be sampled as many as 78 traders were done proportionally. The level of inequality of revenue distribution from merchants in Tanjung Morawa subdistrict is measured by the Gini Rationya value of 0.6597 or 0.6 categorized as high inequality.

Abstract

Marketing strategies relating to the activity of increasing volume of product sales are implementing marketing strategies. Product quality, price, and promotion are important things that can influence purchasing decisions. The better the quality of the product in satisfying customers, then can cause high purchasing decisions anyway. The product has a direct pemgaruh to purchase decisions. With the increasing ability of a product it will be superior in competing so that customers will be satisfied. Customer satisfaction is also influenced by price and promotion. The purpose and objectives of this research is to measure and acknowledge and analyze the quality of products, prices and promotions on the decision of purchasing the MCC machine (palm oil management) at PT. Serumpun Indah Lestari Medan.The data analysis technique is a simple linear regression. The samples studied were as much as 73 people. The results of the research are beerinfluence on purchasing decisions. Price affects the purchase decision. Promotion to purchase decisions. And variable-free products, prices and promotions simultaneously (together) affect the variable Y (purchase decision). A 85.6% variation in product value, price and promotion is determined by the role of variation by sentence such as product, price and promotion in influencing the decision to purchase research advice the price effect is further improved due to its influence Very minimum. So the manager is required to further increase the purchase decision related prices.

Abstract

The study is grounded by the decreasing of hand body Citra top brand in 3 (three) years a row which indicates the occurance phenomenon of consumer switching from hand body lotion Citra to other hand body lotion. This phenomenon is ussually called brand switching. Therefore, the problem in this study is “what are the factors that influence consumer switching from hand body lotion to another hand body lotion brand”. This study examined two independent variables; there are consumer dissatisfaction, competitor’s advertising toward brand switch behavior. The purpose of this study is to find the influence of the independent variables toward brand switching behavior. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive methods and quantitative methods. Primary data in this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires, measuring using a likert scale and processed systematically using the Statistical For Product and Service solution (SPSS) version 20 program. The test used in this study is validity test, reliabiliy test, multiple linear regression test, classic assumption test, t test, f test, and determination. Consumer dissatisfaction has a positive and significant effect on brand switching behavior because that is 2.326 1.993. Competitor advertising has a positive and significant effect on brand switching behavior because  that is 4.163 1.993. Consumer dissastifaction and competitor advertising simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on brand switching behavior because  that is 38.061 3.11 and a significant level for the F test equal to 0.000 0.05 means that consumer dissatisfaction and competitor advertising have a positive and significant effect on brand switching behavior. Based on the overall result of the study, it can be concluded that partially and simultaneously consumer dissatifaction and cocompetitor advertisor have a positive and significant effect on brand switching behavior in product hand body lotion Citra.

Abstract

As for the problem in this research is how the creativity and quality of service towards the satisfaction of participants BPJS branch manpower Pematangsiantar. This research aims to know how to influence the creativity and quality of service towards the satisfaction of participants BPJS employment Branch Pematangsiantar.The data collection techniques in this study are with questionnaires, research and literature studies. The population in this research is the participants of BPJS employment who participated in JKK program during March-April 2017 and samples taken as many as 68 respondents using the strata random sampling. The analysis used include validity test, rehabilitation test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis test used test T, Test F, and coefficient of determination (R2) using SPSS support version 20.From the results of this study acquired double linear regression equation Y = 2,563 + 0, 202X1 + 0, 698X2 which means if the independent variables are considered constant then the participant satisfaction value (Y) increased 2,563%, when the creativity (X1) rose by 1 Satuanmaka Participant satisfaction will increase by 0.2012%, and if the quality of service (X2) rises by 1 unit then the satisfaction of participants will increase by 0.698%. Inopportune significantly influence between creativity to the satisfaction of participants demonstrated from the results of the Thitung test (2.772) This (1.668) with Signifikan0,007 0.05. And there is also a significant influence between creativity and quality of service to the satisfaction of participants is shown in Fcount (9.617) This 3.14 with a significant 0.000 0.05. With the value of R2 gained the magnitude of the influence of creativity and quality of service to the satisfaction of the participant sebesasddr 66.8% and the remaining 33.2% influenced by other variables outside this study.

Abstract

Leadership style and compensation are elements that can influence job satisfaction in order to improve employee job satisfaction. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of leadership style and compensation on employee job satisfaction at PT. Sinarmas Finance Medan. This type of research is  explanatory  research.  The  entire  population  is  sampled  in  the  study. Information retrieval of 123 employees who acted as respondents in the study was conducted using a questionnaire composed of five Likert scales. Data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis and coefficient of determination and simultaneous tests and partial tests. The results showed that leadership and compensation styles partially or simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction at PT. Sinarmas Finance Medan. Based on the results of this study, the implications for management are to increase employee confidence in leadership and work motivation of employees so that it can improve employee job satisfaction and achieve university goals
