Abstract

Waste of tea is still limited in terms of utilization, potentially to be made into nanocarbon. In this research, nanocarbon synthesis from the waste of tea through carbonation method using furnace and purification with HNO3 with activator substance used is H3PO4. The specific objective of this study was to determine the optimal levels and ratios of ortho-phosphoric acid and to determine the properties and characteristics of nanocarbon from tea waste. Based on the FT-IR spectra, the best ortho-phosphate acid levels and ratios are 50% and 1:2 (w/w) H3PO4. The XRD analysis showed that the activated carbon dregs obtained were C graphite which was characterized by the diffraction peak at 2theta: 26.2°; 26.5°; 42.2°; 42.4°; and 44.3°. Based on the TEM image obtained shows that the activated carbon of the resulting tea waste has a particle size of 20-40 nm.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penentuan kadar logam B3 dalam sampel pupuk cair dengan Metode Analisis Aktivasi Neutron (AAN). Metode ini dilakukan dengan proses penembakan sinar gamma pada selongsong-selongsong yang sudah dipersiapkan. Selongsong yang terdiri dari sampel, standar dan blanko dimasukkan dalam Reaktor Kartini untuk diiradiasi dengan menggunakan sumber neutron (fluks neutron 5,85 . 1010 n cm-2 s-1) pada fasilitasi radiasi Lazy Susan selama 2 x 6 jam dengan daya 100 kW. Setelah itu dilakukan pendinginan sesuai dengan waktu paruh suatu unsur. Kemudian dilakukan pencacahan dengan menggunakan detektor HPGe pada umur menengah dan umur panjang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis secara kualitatif pada umur menengah mengandung unsur-unsur logam B3 seperti Sm, Ce, La, U, Th, Cd, K, As, Br dan Na untuk standar sedangkan unsur-unsur logam B3 yang terkandung didalam sampel 1, sampel 2 dan blanko yaitu Sm, Ce, La, Th, As, Br, K dan Na. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kualitatif pada umur panjang terdapat unsur-unsur logam B3 seperti Cr, Cs, Fe, Zn dan Co pada standar. Pada sampel 1 terdapat unsur-unsur logam Cr, Fe, Zn dan Co. Pada sampel 2 terdapat unsur-unsur logam Fe, Zn dan Co sedangkan pada blanko hanya terdapat unsur logam Cr. Hasil analisis kuantitatif pada umur menengah diperoleh unsur yang paling banyak yaitu unsur K  dengan kadar  sebesar 44121,6370 ± 948,966 dan presisi 2,1508%. Sedangkan unsur yang paling sedikit yaitu unsur Sm diperoleh nilai kadar sebesar 0,0190 ± 0,003 dan presisi 14,3074%. Adapun hasil analisis kuantitatif pada umur panjang diperoleh unsur yang paling banyak yaitu unsur Zn  dengan kadar  sebesar 267,1754 ± 7,384 dan presisi 2,7638%. Sedangkan unsur yang paling sedikit yaitu unsur Cr diperoleh nilai kadar sebesar 0,2250 ± 0,270 dan presisi 0,1215%.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang ekstraksi disporsium (Dy) pada konsemtrat itrium dalam keasaman klorida menggunakan cyanex 572 dari logam tanah jarang hasil olah pasir senotim menggunakan ekstraktan campuran cyanex 572 dengan kerosen serta campuran cyanex 572 dengan dodekan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan kondisi optimum proses dengan variasi konsentrasi keasaman umpan (HCl), variasi konsentrasi ekstraktan, variasi konsentrasi umpan dan variasi konsentrasi penambahan garam (NaCl) menggunakan spektrometer X-ray fluorescence. Kondisi optimum dari proses ekstrasi konsentrat itrium mengandung disporsium (Dy) dengan ekstraktan campuran cyanex 572 dengan kerosen yaitu keasaman umpan 4 M, konsentrasi ekstraktan Cyanex 50%, konsentrasi massa umpan 0.015 g/mL dan konsetrasi penambahan garam NaCl 3.5 M. Dan dengan ekstraktan campuran Cyanex 572 dengan dodekan kondisi optimum dicaai pada keasaman umpan 4 M, konsentrasi ekstraktan Cyanex 60%, konsentrasi massa umpan 0.015 g/mL dan konsetrasi penambahan garam NaCl 3.5 M.

Abstract

Quantitative analysis in the integrated laboratory of Jombang District Agriculture Office has been done on two samples of organic fertilizer with phosphorus and potassium parameters, considering these two elements are macronutrients which have an important role in the growth and development of plants. Determination of phosphorus level has been done by ascorbic acid method using double beam UV-Visible spectrophotometer, while determination of potassium level has been done by flame photometric method. There are 2 samples code of organic fertilizer, 13/F/16 and 14/F/16. From the result of analysis, the phosphorus level as P2O5 in 13/F/16 sample is 0.275%, while in the 14/F/16 sample is 0.29%. The potassium level as K2O in 13/F/16 sample is 2.58%, while in the 14/F/16 sample is 2.67%. These results meet the requirements for compost quality standards based on SNI 19-7030-2004, because they exceed the minimum requirements, which are 0.10% for phosphorus level and 0.20% for potassium level.
