Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) are indicators to assess the degree of public health in a country. In Indonesia, MMR and IMR are still quite high, various efforts continue to be made to reduce this incidence, one of which is by implementing continuous midwifery care. During pregnancy, women will experience anatomical, physiological, and psychological changes that can cause discomfort, one of which is pain. back. This research method uses a descriptive method, the results of the study of back pain discomfort in third trimester pregnant women are physiological complaints and often occur in pregnant women. Efforts for pregnant women who experience back pain are asking for help from their families and health workers.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a condition in which there is an embryo or fetus in the womb of a woman. The gestation period starts from conception until the fetus is born. First Day of Last Menstruation is used to calculate the normal length of pregnancy which is 280 days (40 weeks or 9 months 7 days). Complaints of a tight stomach in third trimester pregnant women are the result of false contractions, fetal movement in the womb, and also because of digestive disorders. The case study method uses a descriptive method. The case study was carried out at BPM Ernyadi Krian Sidoarjo which began on December 20, 2019. Midwifery care was carried out through assessment and evaluation. Midwifery care carried out by the author went smoothly and without any complications. In the results obtained from data collection, there is no gap between reality and theory.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is an acute systemic disease of the digestive system, and is still a global health problem faced by the international community. The incidence of typhoid fever always increases by around 500-100,000 people every year, with a mortality rate of around 0.6-5%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Differential Counting and ESR in patients with typhoid fever. The research design used is an experimental laboratory. The study sample was based on typhoid fever patients with a Widal titer 1/160 at the RSUD. R.A Basoeni Mojokerto. Differential counting examination using the automatic method with a Hematology analyzer and LED examination using the modified Westergreen method. The results showed that there was a decrease in the number of lymphocytes (60%), an increase in the number of monoit cells by 50%, and an increase in the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (53%). Based on the results of the correlation test analysis, it was found that there was no significant relationship between Differential counting and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate in patients with typhoid fever (p > 0.05).

Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants that contain ingredients that can be used for treatment and the active ingredients can be used as synthetic medicinal ingredients. One of the medicinal plants that is often used is turmeric (Curcuma longa). In addition, there is young coconut (Cocos nucifera) which is a plant native to the tropics, has water on the inside of young coconuts and can be consumed without going through processing. This study aims to determine the potential of the combination of turmeric juice with young coconut water in inhibiting Clostridium perfringens bacteria. This study used 5 concentrations, namely 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% and the combination of turmeric juice with young coconut water, namely 25%: 75%, 50%: 50% and 75%: 25%. The concentration of 100% extract of turmeric juice and young coconut water was the best concentration to form an inhibitory zone against the bacterium Clostridium perfringens of 32.66 mm and 14 mm.

Abstract

Pediculosis capitis is an infectious disease caused by the parasite infestation Pediculosis humanus capitis. It is necessary to do alternative medicine by using natural ingredients as insecticides to kill head lice, one of which is tamarind fruit (Tamarindus indica) and temu Kunci rhizome (Boesenbergia rotunda) which have chemicals that work as insecticides. The form of the research is experimental in nature at the Laboratory of Clinical Parasitology, University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The sample used was head lice obtained as many as 480 tails from santriwati Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ikhlas Sidoarjo tested with tamarind fruit and rhizome of Temu Kunci obtained from the Probolinggo area, East Java. Samples were tested with 6 treatments, namely 100% tamarind fruit; 25% tamarind and 75% meeting lock; 50% tamarind and 50% meeting lock; 75% tamarind and 25% meeting lock; 100% key retrieval; negative control (aquades) and 4 repetitions. The data obtained for 24 hours were analyzed by using the One Way ANOVA statistical test and continued with the LSD test. One Way ANOVA test obtained a significance value of P= 0.000 (p<0.005) and in the LSD further test, the most effective infusion solution was obtained at K4 (75% tamarind fruit and 25% rhizome of Temu Kunci). The conclusion is that there is an effectiveness of infusion formulation of tamarind fruit (Tamarindus indica) with temu lock rhizome (Boesenbergia rotunda) which can eradicate head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis).

Abstract

Diarrhea causes frequent (BAB) defecation more than 3 times in 1 day with the consistency of liquid feces as a result of food contaminated with flies. The existence of an extract test using Kenikir Leaves can reduce the population of house flies. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Kenikir Leaf (Cosmos caudatus) extract against the death of house fly (Musca domestica) with different concentrations and achieve Lc50 killing power. Experimental research using post-test Only Group Design, by means of accidental sampling technique. Based on the technique of the spray method, they were grouped into six treatments, namely the control group (without treatment), P1 (10%), P2 (20%), P3 (30%), P4 (40%), and P5 (50%). The process is carried out for 72 hours. Of the five concentrations that Lc50 has obtained 48.067% results so that it can kill flies as much as 63%. The results showed that there was a statistically significant effect using One-Way ANNOVA (p>0.05) on Kenikir Leaf extract which was able to kill flies with the best concentrations of 40% and 50%, respectively.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a disease caused by the house fly insect (Musca domestica). It is necessary to do alternatives using natural ingredients as house fly repellent (Musca domestica), one of which is tuberose extract (Polianthes tuberosa). Ethanol extract of tuberose flower has Eugenol compound which can be used as an insecticide. This research was conducted to determine the toxic effect of tuberose extract (Polianthes tuberosa) on the mortality of house fly (Musca domestica). This research is an experimental study (experimental) and Completely Randomized Design Test (CRD) by conducting 6 treatment groups including negative control (aquades) and tuberose flower extract concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%. The data obtained for 72 hours were analyzed by using the One Way ANOVA statistical test, a significance value of P = 0.000 (p<0.005) was obtained and continued with the probit test, it can be said that tuberose bug extract has a toxic effect on house flies with LC50 at a concentration of 45.808%.

Abstract

Tamarind and turmeric are used by the community to treat respiratory diseases and fever obtained at the Pandaan market. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of tamarind leaves and turmeric by maceration in inhibiting Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria at various concentrations. Antibacterial activity test using Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method with concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Tamarind and turmeric leaves used maceration extraction method by immersion using 96% ethanol as solvent. The positive control used was Penicillin while the negative control used was DMSO 10%. The concentrations of the samples used were: tamarind leaf extract with concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%; turmeric extract concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%; a combination of 25% tamarind leaf extract and 75% turmeric extract; a combination of 50% tamarind leaf extract and 50% turmeric extract; combination of 75% tamarind leaf extract and 25% turmeric extract. The total number of samples is 33 samples. The best inhibition was obtained from the results of the inhibition zone > 20 mm. Turmeric extract had the best antibacterial activity against the growth of Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria at concentrations of 50%, 75%, and 100%. With each inhibition zone diameter of 21.5 mm; 29.83 mm ; and 33.16 mm. Based on the results of the Two Way ANOVA test with a 95% confidence level (p > 0.05), it was found that there was no significant effect between samples of tamarind leaf extract and turmeric extract on the growth of Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria.

Abstract

The development of this website-based media makes it easy for website users, both patients and doctors, to obtain information on the facilities and services offered by the Graha Medika Clinic as well as the convenience of consultation facilities provided to patients in chatting or consulting and registering online. This website application that has been built successfully displays information such as profiles of doctors, clinic facilities, doctor's schedules and online consultations or chats for patients. Based on the results of the questionnaire, respondents stated that by building this website-based media, patients and the general public, internet users, could easily get information about services and consultations with doctors.

Abstract

Plants have many chemical constituents. Utilization of plants as an alternative treatment in overcoming food poisoning, one of which is Gambas (luffa acutangula L) which contains flavonoids so that it can kill bacteria that attack the digestive system. This research was conducted in February-May 2021 and included an experimental study that aimed to determine the potential of maceration of Gambas fruit and fresh extract in inhibiting Clostridium perfringens bacteria at various concentrations. The antibacterial activity test was carried out by maceration method and fresh extract. This antibacterial potential is indicated by the form of a clear zone around the paper disk. This study used 4 concentrations, namely 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and Penicillin as a positive control and aquadest as a negative control. Based on the non-parametric test using the Friedman test with a sign value (α <0.05) that is 0.008 which indicates that there are significant differences at various concentrations.
