Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of school climate, organizational justice, organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior at Sekolah XYZ, Pluit Village. In this study, the population was 41 respondents. Data obtained from closed questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive analysis, while hypothesis testing using path analysis and technical data analysis using smartPLS software. The results showed that (1) the organizational commitment has a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior, (2) organizational justice has a positive effect on organizational commitment, (3) organizational justice has a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior, (4) the school climate has a positive effect on organizational commitment, and (5) the school climate has a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. The implication of this research is that school creates and maintains a positive school climate, organizational justice, organizational commitment that will have a good impact on organizational citizenship behavior. A number of suggestions on managerial theory and implementation were proposed too.

Abstract

KPI (Key Performance Indicator) in XYZ school is specifically designed to improve the quality. This research studies the role of leadership in realizing KPI at XYZ School, North Jakarta. In detail, the research aims are: 1) to study the principal’s leadership in kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school in realizing KPI, 2) to study how the vice principals’ perception towards the leadership of the principal in realizing KPI. The research subjects are (i) principal (ii) three vice-principals (representing each level of education). All data from this study were collected from interviews. The data was then analyzed qualitatively using the triangulation method. The research findings in this study are: 1) principal applied situational and transformational leadership styles, meetings with school principals and encouraged the performance of deputy principals with a sense of friendliness, close, and consideration in realizing KPIs, 2) the vise pricipals have a good perception of principal’s leadership in realizing KPI.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is an important concern for many organizations today. It is because of job satisfaction give impact to the employees’ performance in the organization. Job satisfaction can be affected by several factors, such as organizational culture, perceived organizational support and reward. To improve the satisfaction of workers in the Primary School XYZ, this research needs to be done. This research used quantitative approach and path analysis as its method. The subjects of this research are 41 teachers in Primary School XYZ. This research used SmartPLS 3.0 for data processing. From the result of data processing found that (1) organizational culture has a positive effect on job satisfaction, (2) perceived organizational support has a positive effect on job satisfaction and (3) reward has a positive effect on job satisfaction.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate variables that affect teacher leadership. It focused on human resources frame that highlight a good fit between people and organization benefit both parties. Data were collected through questionnaires to 28 teachers teaching from play group level up to 12th grade at XYZ School Jakarta followed by interview to several teachers. Data analysis was carried out by using structural equation modeling with Partial Least Square (PLS) method by utilizing SmartPLS 3.2.7 for Windows. Person-organization fit, Person-job fit and teacher empowerment were found positively affect teacher leadership with path coefficient consecutively +0.366, +0.363, and +0.337. Using teacher empowerment as intervening variables to person-organization fit and person-job fit, their total impact is 76.5% to teacher leadership. Goodness of fit (GoF) produced was 0.629 (large) that indicated model fit in explaining data. Using 95% confidence interval (p=0.05), each human resources factor analyzed was found statistically significant to teacher leadership. The results obtained can be very useful for school leaders to plan and to develop human resource programs that support teacher leaders.

Abstract

First grade is the first formal education for every student. The transition into first grade is important because it sets the foundation for future academic achievement. A ready student with parents support will make the transition works well and it will effect positively on their academic achievement. This study measures school readiness which includes physical development, language development, cognitive development, social emotional development and approach of learning. Parent involvement is the commitment of parent throughout themselves and their role as parent in supporting their child development. Parent involvement data was taken by questionnaire. Quantitative method were used in the study. The method of analysis used is PLS SEM. The result of the study showed school readiness effect positively 36% to academic achievement. The dimension of school readiness that has significant relationship are language development with significant level of 0.000, physical development with significant level of 0.005, social emotional development with significant level of 0.013 and approach of learning with significant level of 0.005. Parent involvement does not effect partially to academic achievement.

Abstract

Writing a good short story needs a creativity. However, the researcher is concerned about the level of students’ creativity in writing and the learning motivation that needs improvement. This triggers the researcher to conduct a research in the class or Classroom Action Research (CAR) through the implementation of storytelling method. The aims of this research are (1) Describing the implementation of storytelling that improves creativity in writing and the motivation to learn English. (2) Analyzing the development of students’ creativity after applying storytelling method. (3) Analyzing the development of students’ learning motivation after applying storytelling method. (4) Describing the obstacles that occur during the application of the storytelling method. This research is conducted in three cycles. The subject of this research is 16 students of grade II. Data were collected through observation, notes, interview, and writing tests with three different instruments. Then the data were being analyzed in descriptive qualitative. The results showed that (1) all activities and corrective actions are carried out in accordance with the storytelling lesson plan (2) there was a development of creativity in writing up to 80% (3) there was a development of learning motivation up to 89%, and (4) the obstacles are the difficulties in developing ideas and limited vocabularies.
