Abstract

This research focused on the micro linguistic, where the object of study is on the morphology associated with the use of acronym of Bahasa Melayu Manado in SMP Negeri 8 Manado and was also associated with linguistic macro, focusing on sociolinguistics that will investigate the differences in age, sex and social interaction that led to the development, changes and differences in the use of acronyms, for both the teachers and students at SMP Negeri 8 Manado.The results showed that of the 104 acronyms found in SMP Negeri 8 Manado, 103 of which are in accordance with the theory of Kridalaksana (2009), McCully, Holmes (1988) and Hartanto. The acronym classification consists of an acronym formed from two words, three words, four words and five words. Based on the formation process there are 30 process of formation of new acronyms outside Kridalaksana theory. While the sociolinguistic factors based on Peter Trudgil’s theory leads to differences in the use of the acronym in Bahasa Melayu Manado among teachers and students at SMP Negeri 8 Manado are ages, situations and interactions.Keywords: acronym, forms, sociolinguistic factors

Abstract

Nicknaming and its uses in daily communication by the people of Rumoong-Lansot villages are considered as both social and lingual phenomena that have existed since a very long time ago and unconsciously have become the internal part of daily interaction of the people. A well-maintained relationship among the individuals in the society is one of the major factors that endorsed them to address each other by using proper nicknames. No matter old or young people, male or female, wealthy or destitute, indigenous or non indigenous, are all unexceptional unrestrained for nicknaming and employing nicknames between one another.  The results of this research showed that term of nicknames employed by the people of Rumoong-Lansot villages concealed nearly the entire elements of internal linguistics and external linguistics. In term of types, all those nicknames that have been successfully collected and analyzed can be categorized into the following aspects: physical state, home and place of birth, occupation, particular moment, and every other feature that promotes the creation of the nicknames. Generally speaking, every single nickname employed by the people is conditioned to identify one specific member of the society in order to generate a clear and unimpeded sort of communication. Specifically, every single nickname is responsible to provide a distinguished portrayal of any peculiar individual in the society, and even more definite, about his most dominating distinctive characteristics.

Abstract

The study of the jargon used to describe transvestites Bitung do the language used by the transvestites in interacting orally. This study shows that the jargon that live among transvestites Bitung derived from a variety of languages, namely Indonesian (shepherds' fat ', the mill crazy, a tangle of love' selling themselves' royal 'work', golden 'piss', the field' hungry 'rose' like '). English (drinken 'drink', eaten 'eat', homre 'home', sleepen 'sleep'). Germany (kleine 'small' and spielen, 'play'). Dutch (betalen 'buy / pay' geld 'money', groot 'big', stil 'silent'). Regional language Sangihe and Java (enjeh 'yes' and nar 'go walking'. Therefore, it is not uncommon to communicate everyday, transvestites often change (switching) languages, from one to the other language. Therefore uniqueness and kevariasian language, researchers interested in conducting research on the use of jargon among transvestites particularly Bitung City. this study aims to (1) identify, classify, and analyze the jargon used by transvestites Bitung, (2) analyze the functions of jargon which use among transvestites Bitung.Descriptive qualitative study was conducted in three phases, namely the phase of the provision of data, data analysis stage, and the stage presentation of the results of the data analysis. The data used as material analysis in this study is a narrative of data studied for 5 months (August-December 2016) derived from IWABI ranging from chairman to members totaling 10 participants transvestites. those aged between 18 and 33 years old. Through this technique, note and record using the phone / video, as much as 2 or 3 times for each informant. Each speech they present, then selected and categorized based on the needs of researchers to solve existing problems, the form, meaning and function of jargon transvestites Bitung City.Keywords: Jargon, transvestites, Bitung.

Abstract

Language and culture have a very close relationship and can not be separated. Indonesia has a variety of very interesting customs, as well as ethnic Galela in Kokota Jaya, North Halmahera in North Maluku province has a variety diariskan customs of the ancestors. One was at the event to woo the girl who is a manifestation of cultural values in the society. In the event there is a form to woo this girl lingual and lexical meaning phrases that have cultural significance. There is also the cultural meanings of verbal and nonverbal expression. This research may be necessary for people to know clearly the meaning of expressions of both verbal and nonverbal ceremonial woo the girl. This study aims to identify and analyze the forms of expression of cultural meanings contained in verbal and nonverbal expression on her proposed marriage ceremony in Kokota Jaya ethnic Galela.Based on the results and discussion can be concluded that there is a form limgual and lexical meaning in the ceremony there was to woo the girl. And there is a meaningful verbal and nonverbal expressions of culture in a ceremony to woo the girl. It is recommended that conducted an exhaustive review of her proposed marriage ceremonies. For Galela ethnic communities in Kokota Jaya especially the younger generation is expected to begin to learn and understand the use of regional languages become heritage.Keywords: Expression, Cultural, and Galela Ethnic

Abstract

This research will identify, classiy, and analyze swearwords of Pele that are used in the  interaction of Merauke society. The data has been collected from interviews society Marind and society non Marind to get positive response about swearwords of  Pele. Moreover, the data has been collected from expressionthe used in communication. Theorise used in this research is the theory form swearword by Wijana and Romadi, the theory functions of using swearwords by Andersson, and the theory shifts of meanings by Simatupang.The result of this research shows that the form of swearwords are in form words, phrases, interjections, vocals, and acronyms. It was found that there are 26 function of using swearwords, namely praise, amazed, expressed hope, as seduction, as a statement, to ask, as a joke or a joke, as a greeting, expresses regret, express a sense of disappointment, expressing astonishment, shock, surprisingly, insulting, offensive, complain, complained repeatedly, extrude, harm or disrupt, threatening, blow up, express extreme emotion, express emotions indirectly, reveals unexpected pain, express feelings of frustration or annoyance, strengthen one's argument. And to the shifts of meanings there are shifts from generic meaning to specific meaning, and shifts of meaning as culture aspect.Keywords: : Swear Words of Pele, Interaction, Merauke Society
