Abstract

Pada penelitian ini peneliti menjawab fenomena yang terjadi sehingga muncul sebuah rumusan masalah yaitu, (1) Bentuk lagu “Salak Wedi” Ciptaan Bapak Choyr Sudarmono yang meliputi, Motif, Frasa/Kalimat, Bagian lagu, (2) Bentuk Pelestarian Lagu Daerah di Bojonegoro. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, wawancara dan juga dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data terdapat pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu,  (1) Bentuk lagu “Salak Wedi” yang meliputi, Motif, Frasa/Kalimat, Bagian lagu, (2) Bentuk Pelestarian Lagu Daerah di Bojonegoro.        Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah bentuk pada lagu “Salak Wedi” ciptaan Bapak Choyr Sudarmono memiliki bentuk lagu tiga bagian yang terdiri dari A B dan C, pada bagian A memiliki 16 birama yaitu birama 1-16, 7 motif serta 4 frasa/kalimat (frasa/kalimat A, B, C, dan D), pada bagian B memiliki 16 birama yaitu birama 17-32, memiliki 3 motif baru serta 4 frasa/kalimat (frasa/kalimat E, B, E, B’), pada bagian C memiliki 16 birama yaitu birama 33-48 dengan 5 motif baru serta 4 frasa/kalimat (frasa/kalimat F, G, F, G’). Dalam bentuk pelestarian lagu daerah, peneliti mendapatan 3 sudut pandang yang berbeda sesuai dengan latar belakang narasumber yang terkait dengan penelitian ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada simbol diskrusif alat musik angklung gubrag. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis simbol yang terdapat pada alat musik angklung gubrag sebagai alat musik yang diyakini memiliki kekuatan yang mewakilkan kebudayaan seseorang atau kelompok pada zaman tertentu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian alat musik angklung gubrag. Pengumpulan data  melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah simbol Diskursif yang memiliki nilai-nilai filosofis budaya yaang mencerminkan dan menggambarkan kebudayaan suatu etnis atau masyarakat. Alat musik angklung Gubrag sebagai alat musik sakral dan fenomenal yang digunakan untuk pengiring ritual seren taun.

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul Manajemen Konser Musik Yang Bertajuk “Brothers Keeper” Oleh Evolve Worldwide adalah konser musik yang diselenggarakan pada tahun 2023 oleh Evolve Worldwide yang bertempat di Kafe D’Pare Van Java kota Pare, Kediri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan bagaimana penerapan prinsip serta fungsi manajemen konser Brothers Keeper. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil dalam penelitian ini berupa adanya penerapan beserta fungsi manajemen konser musik yang bertajuk “Brothers Keeper” Oleh Evolve Worldwide. Terdapat 6 prinsip manajemen diantaranya pembagian kerja, wewenang dan tanggung jawab, kesatuan perintah dan arah, semangat kebersamaan, keadilan dan kejujuran, tertib dan disiplin dan 4 fungsi manajemen yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengarahan dan pengawasan.

Abstract

Prodigy Music Academy is a music course institution that provides guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, vocal, and violin courses. The problem in this study is the difficulty of students distinguishing piano keys, so a color marking method is needed for initial-grade students. This study aims to analyze the color marking method and the results of student achievement in color marking at Prodigy Music Academy. The method applied in the research is descriptive qualitative through observation techniques, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and descriptive data presentation. This research resulted in the application of the color method on the piano. The tools used were sticky notes and colored pens. The colors used are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple. In terms of student achievement, the teacher provides summative and diagnostic evaluations. Questionnaires were distributed via Google form to 10 parents of students, with the results of parents giving positive assessments to students so that it was found that students were achieved in the color marking method.

Abstract

The application of management strategies used in managing the Southburn Fest Vol . 4 event and the obstacles and solutions carried out in the management of Southburn Fest Vol . 4, including logistics, schedules, and infrastructure, are the problems in the research. The purpose of this study is to find out the application of performing arts management strategies, as well as the obstacles and solutions used by the Southburn Fest vol. 4 community. This research used descriptive qualitative research methods. This research was conducted in the city of Tulungagung. The subjects of this research are the founder of Southburn Fest and members of the Southburn community. Also, the object of this research is the management of the Southburn Fest Vol . 4 event. The findings in this study include the management strategy of Southburn Fest vol.4 using comprehensive concept planning, performer management, production management, finance and sponsorship, and effective promotion

Abstract

Sagita is a very popular music group in Nganjuk. Sagita has a distinctive musical style sets it apart from other dangdut music groups. The fusion of jaranan music and dangdut makes Sagita easily recognizable and beloved by the people of Nganjuk. Therefore, this study aims to discuss the survival strategies of the Sagita Malay Orchestra. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The study was conducted online via the WhatsApp application using the VideoCall feature, as the interviewees had hectic schedules. Data collection was performed using observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was carried out through data collection, reduction, and presentation. The results of this study revealed that the Sagita Malay Orchestra employs numerous strategies to maintain its sustainability in Nganjuk. Using social media as a bridge to expand its target market, Sagita has successfully reached audiences in East Java and throughout Indonesia. As a result, a strategy for maintaining sustainability has been formed, including innovations in musical arrangements, the use of social media, collaborations with viral singers, establishing their music labels, improving performance quality, maintaining member solidarity, and finally, evaluation. These strategies are what Sagita has been implementing to support its sustainability up to the present day.

Abstract

This research examines koplo dangdut music in Getas village, Tanjunganom subdistrict, Nganjuk district, as a form of social stratification. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using literature review, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings reveal two formats of dangdut koplo music performances held in Getas Village: dangdut orchestras and electronic dangdut. The residents of Getas Village are familiar with and enjoy dangdut koplo music, which they use as entertainment. As a result, dangdut koplo music in Getas Village is used as a form of entertainment and as a means of social stratification. The factors that make dangdut koplo music a form of social stratification are occupation and economic status. Individuals from higher social strata invite dangdut orchestras to perform at social events to entertain guests and demonstrate their social status. However, those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds opt for an alternative by inviting dangdut koplo musicians to elevate their social status within the community.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the process of cultural diffusion in Ronjhangan music in Prajekan District, Bondowoso Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research design with an ethnomusicological disciplinary approach that emphasises the study of text and context and is assisted by social science, which is complemented by observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The data analysis techniques in this research include data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. After that, the source triangulation and technique triangulation methods were used to test the validity of the data. The research shows that the arrival of Madura people to Java caused cultural diffusion that gave rise to Ronjhangan music. The dominance of Madura culture affected the Javanese population through the habits and culture brought by the Madura; besides that, many Madura people settled both temporarily and permanently in Java. The language and songs played in Ronjhangan music use the Madura language.

Abstract

William Nababan is one of the Indonesian saxophone players involved in the music world, especially as a saxophone player who started his career in 2016. Of the many songs played by William Nababan, Boha nama ujung na is a song that has been performed by William Nababan and is the object of this research. The research aims to describe how the playing technique and interpretation are contained in this song. The data sources used in this research include interviews with sources, observation, and documentation. The research results show trill techniques, vibra, growl, outer lip techniques, diaphragm breathing, and upper end tongue. For the results of the interpretation analysis in this song, several interpretations are contained, namely, there are dynamics, such as crescendo, decrescendo, mezzo forte, forte, piano, mezzo piano dynamics. The trill, vibra, and growl techniques also produce their interpretations.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse Abu Maestro's existence as an a acapella music content creator by examining the background, creative process, and characteristics of his work. This research uses a qualitative method. The results show that his childhood experience and intrinsic drive influence Abu Maestro's motivation in creating music. His creative process began with his interest in seeing his uncle practice vocal groups, then he experienced a hiatus due to academic and organisational activities. This interest resurfaced when he became a vocal coach in Islamic spiritual extracurricular activities during high school, but again stopped because of his focus as a motivator. Inspiration from the group Neri Per Caso prompted him to produce his first video with the concept of one-man a acapella. The characteristics of his work include distinctive vocal timbre, imitation of instrument sounds, a wide range of tones, beatboxing techniques, improvised riffs and runs, complex vocal harmonies, and song selection that follows popular music trends. This research contributes to music studies, especially in the field of creativity and vocal-based digital music content production.
