Abstract

General anaesthesia makes the patient temporally unconscious. Anaesthesia techniques and doses of the medications administered may affect the patient's recovery consciousness period. Post-anaesthetic management is so important to prevent the complications of delayed recovery consciousness period such as airway obstruction, hypoxemia, hypercarbia, and aspiration. Murottal therapy is one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can provide hemodynamic stability, relaxing effect, peace of mind, and increased threshold of consciousness. The aim of this study was to know the effect of murottalayatulsyifa’ therapy in patient's recovery consciousness period in post-general anaesthetic at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital. This research used quasi experiment method with post-only design. The research held in March-April 2018. The samples were 21 respondents of the treatment group (given murottal) and 21 respondents of the control group of post-general anaesthetic patients with purposive sampling technique. The result of this study showed that there was influence of murottal ayatul syifa’ therapy in patient's recovery consciousness period in post-general anaesthetic with (p-value) 0.000 (p <0.05). The average of the patient's recovery consciousness period in the treatment group was 5.14 minutes and the average of the patient's recovery consciousness period in the control group was 10.9 minutes. The conclusion of this study is there is effect of murottal ayatul syifa’ therapy in patient's recovery consciousness period in post-general anaesthetic.

Abstract

Hypertension is included in systemic diseases commonly encountered during physical examination of preanesthesia. Any time prolonged awakening from general anesthesia is one of the most common problems in the recovery room. The main cause is the pharmacological effects of anesthetic drugs, metabolic disorders, and neurological injury. Hypertension becomes one of the most common metabolic disorders in addition to hypoxemia, hypercapnia, hypotension, liver dysfunction, renal failure, endocrine regulatory disorders, and electrolyte imbalances. To know correlation of hypertension degree with prolonged awakening from general anesthesia at IBS RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This research is a non-experimental quantitative research with analytic observational research type and design used is cross-sectional. The study was conducted on 23 April to 23 May 2018. The study population of this study was all hypertensive patients who performed surgery with general anesthesia at IBS RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta within one month. The number of samples is equal to the number of population. Data analysis using chi-square.Respondents with high grade I hypertension did not experience prolonged awakening from general anesthesia (73.1%). In contrast, respondents with high grade II hypertension experienced prolonged awakening from general anesthesia (73.7%) .The results showed a correlation between degree of hypertension and prolonged awakening from general anesthesia (p = 0,002). The odds ratio value obtained 4.8 results so it is known that respondents with degree II hypertension 4.8 times greater risk of experiencing prolonged awakening from general anesthesia than respondents with degree I hypertension. There is a correlation between hypertension degree and prolonged awakening from general anesthesia

Samples taken as many as 37 health workers at the Central Surgery Installation of Wates Hospital consisting of anesthesia nurses, surgical nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons in April 2018. The research instrument used is questionnaire and observation sheet. After tabulated data with Fisher’s Exacttest with significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the knowledge of respondents with good category and For compliance. While the value of tabulation of good knowledge with good category compliance. Based on Fisher’s Exact test results obtained no correlation between knowledge of healthcare personsabout standard precautions: waste management with compliance in waste management with p-value significance value 0,554 (p> 0,05).
