Abstract

Background: The scope of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still fluctuating, thus the government made policies regarding procurement of lactation rooms in public places and in the workplace. It is necessary for the availability of lactation rooms to consider the comfort of mothers who use it, because comfort is an important condition.Objective: To understand the description of comfort of breastfeeding mother who used the lactation room in primary health care in Sleman District.Method: This research was a descriptive quantitative non-experimental research with cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in five Primary Health Care that were selected randomly. The samples of this research were 91 people who had been or currently used spaces in the five lactation rooms at the five Primary Health Cares. Instrument in this study was General Comfort Questionnaire (GCQ) questionnaire from Kolcaba which had been modified. This research was analyzed using univariate analysis.Result: Physical comfort perceived by respondents including not feeling sore (80,2%), not hungry/thirsty (85,7%), and not tired (91,2%). Psycho-spiritual comfort perceived by respondents including feeling confident (87,9%), satisfied (89,0%), privacy-maintained (87,9%), the mind became calm (90,1%), having no fear (84,6 ), not feeling depressed/discouraged (94,5%), and the need to feel more comfortable when breastfeed in lactation room (93,4%). Environmental comfort perceived by respondents including feeling in a groove (87,9%), comfortable with room lighting (73,6%), no odor (79,1%), the lactation room was easy to find (92,3%), and feeling calm in the room (87,9%). Social comfort perceived by respondents including not feeling lonely (86,8%), not disturbed by people (95,6%), still using the lactation room although there was someone in it (81,3%), and did not require the help of another person when breastfeed in the lactation room (89,0%).Conclusion: The majority of breastfeeding mothers who used the lactation room felt comfortable in terms of physical, psycho-spiritual, environmental, and social.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia masih fluktuatif, maka pemerintah membuat kebijakan mengenai pengadaan ruang laktasi di tempat umum maupun di tempat kerja. Adanya ruang laktasi perlu memperhatikan kenyamanan ibu menyusui yang menggunakan ruangan tersebut, karena kenyamanan merupakan suatu kondisi yang penting bagi seorang ibu menyusui.Tujuan: Mengetahui gambaran kenyamanan ibu menyusui yang menggunakan ruang laktasi di Puskesmas Wilayah Kabupaten Sleman.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April – Mei 2016 di lima Puskesmas di Kabupaten Sleman. Responden penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling, yaitu sebanyak 91 orang ibu menyusui yang pernah atau sedang menggunakan ruang laktasi di lima Puskesmas tersebut. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner General Comfort Questionnaire (GCQ) dari Kolcaba yang dimodifikasi. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan analisis univariat.Hasil: Responden merasakan kenyamanan fisik seperti tidak merasa pegal (80,2%), tidak lapar/haus (85,7%), tidak lelah (91,2%), dan merasa sehat (95,6%); kenyamanan psiko-spiritual, seperti merasa percaya diri (87,9%), puas (89,0%), privasi terjaga (87,9%), pikiran menjadi tenang (90,1%), tidak takut (84,6), dan tidak merasa patah semangat (94,5%); kenyamanan lingkungan seperti merasa berada di tempat yang disenangi (87,9%), nyaman dengan pencahayaan (73,6%), tidak bau (79,1%), mudah untuk menemukan ruangan (92,3%), serta merasa tenang (87,9%); dan kenyamanan sosial seperti tidak kesepian (86,8%), tidak ada yang mengganggu (95,6%), tetap menggunakan ruang walaupun ada seseorang di dalamnya (81,3%), dan tidak memerlukan bantuan orang lain ketika menyusui (89,0%).Kesimpulan: Sebagian besar ibu menyusui yang menggunakan ruang laktasi merasa nyaman baik dari segi fisik, psiko-spiritual, lingkungan, dan sosial.

Abstract

Background: Gastroenteritis is a common infectious disease in children, especially children under 5 years of age. Gastroenteritis that is not handled properly can cause hypovolemic shock thereby increasing mortality in children.Objective: This literature review aims to determine the management of gastroenteritis in children and the role of nurses in managing children with gastroenteritis.Method: This review considers references through PubMed, Science Direct, and Cochrane searches using the search terms “children with acute gastroenteritis”, “management" OR "treatment”, and “nursing therapy”Result: Management of children with gastroenteritis refers to three aspects, namely the medical aspect (oral rehydration therapy, parenteral rehydration, nasogastric feeding, diet), pharmacological aspects (use of antibiotics, antiemetics, probiotics, zinc, and vaccines), and nursing aspects (identification of the degree of dehydration, assessment of stool characteristics, monitoring and evaluation of rehydration administration).Conclusion: The main management of children with gastroenteritis is rehydration therapy. Nurses need to assess the degree of dehydration, monitor, and evaluate the administration of rehydration therapy.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Gastroenteritis merupakan salah satu penyakit infeksi yang umum terjadi pada anak khususnya anak di bawah usia 5 tahun. Gastroenteritis yang tidak tertangani dengan baik dapat menyebabkan syok hipovolemia sehingga meningkatkan mortalitas pada anak. Tujuan: Tinjauan literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen gastroenteritis pada anak dan peran perawat dalam melakukan tata laksana anak dengan gastroenteritis. Metode: Ulasan ini mempertimbangkan referensi melalui pencarian PubMed, Science Direct, dan Cochrane dengan menggunakan istilah pencarian “children with acute gastroentritis”, “management" OR "treatment”, dan “nursing therapy”. Hasil: Manajemen pada anak dengan gastroenteritis mengacu pada tiga aspek, yaitu aspek medis (terapi rehidrasi oral, rehidrasi parenteral, nasogastric feeding, diet), aspek farmakologi (penggunaan antibiotik, antiemetik, probiotik, zink, dan vaksin), dan aspek keperawatan (identifikasi derajat dehidrasi, pengkajian karakteristik feses, pemantauan, dan evaluasi pemberian rehidrasi).Kesimpulan: Penatalaksanaan utama anak penderita gastroenteritis adalah terapi rehidrasi. Perawat perlu menilai derajat dehidrasi, memantau, dan mengevaluasi pemberian terapi rehidrasi.

Abstract

Background: Nurses are required to continuously possess critical thinking skills in order to make rational decisions. One of the methods that can be employed to enhance nurses’ critical thinking abilities is through reflective journaling activities. Reflective journaling involves reflecting on and processing experiences, enabling the individual to solve problems when facing similar situations in the future. However, this practice is still relatively uncommon among nursing students.Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the influence of reflective journaling on the critical thinking abilities of first-year nursing students at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).Method: This is a pre experimental research with a one group pretest-posttest design.The sample comprises all first-year nursing students from the 2019t at UGM. A total of 101 respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria. The respondents engaged in reflective journaling activities six times over a period of six weeks. Data analysis was conducted using the Paired t-test.Outcome: The majority of respondents were female (93,3%) and had previously received information about reflective journaling activities (56,6%). The average score before the implementation of reflective journaling was 68,20 ± 2,336, while the average score after the intervention was 68,73 ± SD 3,218, with a p value of 0,091, indicating that there was no significant effect of the reflective journaling intervention.Conclusion: The study concludes that there is no significant influence of reflective journaling intervention on the critical thinking levels of first-year nursing students at UGM.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Seorang perawat dituntut untuk senantiasa memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis agar mampu membuat keputusan yang rasional. Salah satu metode yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis perawat adalah dengan kegiatan reflective journaling. Reflective journaling untuk merefleksikan dan memproses pengalaman sehingga dapat memecahkan masalah dalam menghadapi situasi serupa di masa mendatang masih jarang dilakukan pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Tujuan: mengetahui pengaruh reflective journaling terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mahasiswa keperawatan tahun pertama di Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-experimental dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa keperawatan tahun pertama angkatan 2019 di UGM. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling didapatkan 101 responden sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Responden diberikan kegiatan reflective journaling sebanyak 6x selama 6 minggu. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah paired t-test dengan nilai p < 0,05.Hasil: Mayoritas responden berjenis kelamin perempuan (93,3%) dan sudah pernah memperoleh informasi terkait kegiatan reflective journaling (56,6%). Nilai rata-rata sebelum diberikan kegiatan reflective journaling (68,20 ± 2,336) dan nilai rerata setelah intervensi (68,73 ± 3,218) dengan nilai p = 0,091) yang menunjukkan tidak terdapat pengaruh intervensi reflective journaling. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara intervensi reflective journaling terhadap tingkat berpikir kritis pada mahasiswa tahun pertama di PSIK FK-KMK UGM.

Abstract

Background:  One of the things that influence mother's care behavior in toddlers is health literacy. Maternal health literacy can affect the ability of mothers to care for toddlers.Objective: To find out the relationship between maternal health literacy and caring behavior for mothers who have toddlers aged 24-59 months in Saptosari District, Gunung Kidul Regency.Method: This correlational analytic study uses a design cross-sectional and consecutive sampling as a sampling technique. This study involved 105 people. There were 3 instruments used in this study, namely respondent characteristics, health literacy (HLS-ASIA Q instrument) and the maternal care behavior questionnaire from the theory of Engle and Memon in 1997.Results: The statistical test results between health literacy and maternal care behavior using the Spearman Rank found a value (p < 0,001). Health literacy is related to the domain of feeding behavior and psychosocial stimulation (p = 0,001). However, for the domain of fulfilling toddlers’ personal hygiene and treatment-seeking behavior, there was no significant relationship (p > 0,05).Conclusion: Health literacy is related to maternal care behavior for toddlers in Saptosari Gunung Kidul District.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Salah satu hal yang memengaruhi perilaku perawatan ibu pada anak balita adalah literasi kesehatan. Literasi kesehatan ibu dapat memengaruhi kemampuan ibu dalam merawat anak balita. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui kaitan literasi kesehatan ibu dengan perilaku perawatan ibu yang memiliki balita usia 24-59 bulan di Kecamatan Saptosari Kabupaten Gunung Kidul.Metode: Penelitian analitik korelasional ini menggunakan rancangan cross-sectional dan consecutive sampling sebagai tehnik samplingnya. Penelitian ini melibatkan 105 orang. Terdapat 3 instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu karakteristik responden, literasi kesehatan (Instrumen HLS-ASIA Q) dan kuesioner perilaku perawatan ibudari teori Engle dan Memon pada tahun 1997.Hasil: Hasil uji statistik antara literasi kesehatan dengan perilaku perawatan ibu menggunakan Spearman Rank didapati nilai (p < 0,001). Literasi kesehatan berhubungan dengan domain perilaku pemberian makan dan stimulasi psikososial (p = 0,001). Namun untuk domain pemenuhan kebersihan diri balita dan perilaku pencarian pengobatan tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (p > 0,05).Kesimpulan: Literasi kesehatan berhubungan dengan perilaku perawatan ibu pada balita di Kecamatan Saptosari Gunung Kidul.

Abstract

Background: Behavioral problems in preschool-age children can adversely affect personal abilities, academic achievement, and social relationships. Parental's factor is one of main factors that influence behavior problems, especially related to poor parenting. Appropriate parenting can prevent behavior problems in preschool children which are mainly influenced by the mother’s self-efficacy. Therefore, it is necessary to research to identify the relationship between self-efficacy of mothers and style of parenting to prevent behavior problems in children.Objective: To identify the relationship between self-efficacy of mothers and style of parenting to prevent behavior problems in preschool childrenMethod: This research was conducted in April-May 2018. It used a correlational analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. As a sample were 88 mothers with preschool-age children in Saptosari District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta. Collection of the data was carried out using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, Parenting Sense of Competence, and the Alabama Parenting Questionnaire-Preschool Revision. To find out each variable descriptio, univariate analysis was used, while to find out the relationship between the two variables, Pearson Correlation test and Spearman Rank were used. Outcome: The average self-efficacy score of the respondents was 63,52 ± 6,74; Positive parenting style 51,25 ± 5,35; inconsistent 16,70 ± 3,54 and the median score of punitive parenting 8 (5-17). All of respondents tend to apply positive parenting. The bivariate analysis between self-efficacy variables and positive parenting showed p = 0,94; inconsistent p = 0,26; and punitive p = 0,31.Conclusion: Mother's self-efficacy does not have a significant relationship with parenting style to prevent behavior problems in preschool-aged children in Saptosari District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta.Keywords: behavioral problems, mother’s self-efficacy, parenting, preschoolersABSTRAKLatar belakang: Masalah perilaku dapat memberikan pengaruh negatif terhadap kemampuan personal, capaian akademik, serta hubungan sosial pada anak usia prasekolah. Pola asuh orang tua yang buruk merupakan salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya masalah perilaku pada anak, di mana hal tersebut salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh efikasi diri yang dimiliki oleh ibu. Oleh karena itu penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara efikasi diri ibu dengan pola asuh untuk mencegah masalah perilaku pada anak perlu dilakukan. Tujuan: Mengidentifikasi hubungan efikasi diri ibu dengan pola asuh pencegahan masalah perilaku pada anak usia prasekolah.Metode: Penelitian ini adalah analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional yang dilakukan pada bulan April-Mei 2018. Sebagai sampel adalah 88 ibu yang memiliki anak usia prasekolah di Kecamatan Saptosari, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, Parenting Sense of Competence, dan Alabama Parenting Questionnaire-Preschool Revision. Analisis univariat digunakan untuk mengetahui gambaran masing-masing variabel, sedangkan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kedua variabel digunakan analisis uji Korelasi Pearson dan Spearman Rank. Hasil: Rata-rata skor efikasi diri responden adalah 63,52 ± 6,74; Pola asuh positive 51,25 ± 5,35; inconsistent 16,70 ± 3,54 dan skor median pola asuh punitive 8 (5-17). Seluruh responden memiliki kecenderungan penerapan pola asuh yang positive. Hasil analisis bivariat antara variabel efikasi diri dengan pola asuh positive menunjukkan nilai p = 0,94; inconsistent p = 0,26; dan punitive p = 0,31.Kesimpulan: Efikasi diri ibu tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan pola asuh pencegahan masalah perilaku pada anak usia prasekolah di Kecamatan Saptosari Kabupaten Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Background: With the growing popularity of video games and concerns about their potential impact on youth behavior, study about the correlation between antisocial tendencies and video game addiction is crucial to be performed.Objective: This study examines the relationship between the risk of antisocial behavior and the risk of video game addiction among adolescents attending State Senior High School 4 in Yogyakarta.Method: This study employed an analytic correlational with a cross-sectional study design. Proportional random sampling was utilized, resulting in a sample size of 172 respondents. The Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short-Form (IGDS9-SF) and the Antisocial Process Screening Device were used to measure the two variables in this study. Due to the chi-square test not meeting the requirements, Fisher’s test was used as an alternative for data analysis.Result: Of the respondents, 19,8% exhibited tendencies towards antisocial behavior, while 1,2% indicated signs of video game addiction. Fisher’s test yielded a p value of 0,038 (p < 0,05). Conclusion: The findings reveal a significant correlation between the risk of antisocial behavior and the likelihood of video game addiction among the adolescents in this study.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Dengan semakin populernya video game dan kekhawatiran tentang potensi dampaknya terhadap perilaku remaja, penelitian tentang hubungan antara kecenderungan antisosial dan kecanduan video game menjadi penting untuk dilakukan.Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan risiko antisosial dan risiko kecanduan video game pada remaja di SMAN 4 Yogyakarta.Metode: Penelitian ini, merupakan penelitian analitik korelasional dengan rancangan penelitian cross-sectional. Random sampling proporsional digunakan dengan hasil 172 orang responden. Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short-Form (IGDS9-SF) dan Antisocial Process Screening Device digunakan untuk mengukur kedua variabel dalam penelitian ini. Karena uji chi square tidak memenuhi syarat, uji Fisher digunakan sebagai analisis data alternatif. Hasil: Sebanyak 19,8% responden menunjukkan kecenderungan antisosial, dan 1,2% menunjukkan risiko kecanduan video game. Uji Fisher memiliki nilai p value 0,038 (p < 0,05).Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara risiko perilaku antisosial dan risiko kecanduan video game di kalangan remaja.
