ABSTRACT Variations in Qur’anic reading proficiency among Madrasah Aliyah students, particularly in Grade X where some students have not yet mastered the hijaiyah letters and accurate articulation (makharijul huruf), indicate a gap between the expected graduate competency standards and the students’ actual level of Qur’anic literacy at school. This study focuses on examining how the Tilawati-based Tahsin Al-Qur’an program is integrated into the madrasah curriculum and how it contributes to improving students’ reading skills and learning motivation in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and interactive conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the integration of the Tilawati method as a compulsory local content subject establishes a structured and consistent tiered learning system. The implementation of staged evaluations through daily assessments, semester examinations, and munaqosyah promotes progressive improvement in Qur’anic reading skills according to grade level and fosters a clear achievement orientation among students. In addition to enhancing pronunciation accuracy and the application of tajwid rules, the program also strengthens learning motivation through measurable competency standards and a transparent evaluation system. Therefore, the Tilawati-based Tahsin program functions not only as an intervention to improve reading skills but also as a strategic effort to cultivate sustained commitment to Qur’anic learning within the Madrasah Aliyah environment. ABSTRAK Variasi kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an di kalangan peserta didik Madrasah Aliyah, khususnya pada siswa kelas X yang sebagian belum menguasai huruf hijaiyah dan ketepatan makharijul huruf, menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan antara standar kompetensi lulusan dan capaian faktual literasi Al-Qur’an di sekolah. Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana pelaksanaan program Tahsin Al-Qur’an berbasis metode Tilawati diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum madrasah serta bagaimana kontribusinya terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca dan motivasi belajar siswa Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi metode Tilawati sebagai muatan lokal wajib membentuk sistem pembelajaran berjenjang yang terstruktur dan konsisten. Penerapan evaluasi bertahap melalui penilaian harian, ujian semester, dan munaqosyah mendorong peningkatan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an secara progresif sesuai tingkat kelas serta membangun orientasi capaian yang jelas bagi siswa. Selain memperbaiki kualitas pelafalan dan ketepatan tajwid, program ini juga menumbuhkan motivasi belajar melalui standar kompetensi yang terukur dan sistem evaluasi yang transparan. Dengan demikian, program Tahsin berbasis Tilawati tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai intervensi peningkatan keterampilan membaca, tetapi juga sebagai strategi penguatan komitmen belajar Al-Qur’an yang berkelanjutan di lingkungan Madrasah Aliyah.
