Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of zakat literacy, attitude, and motivation on the behavior of professional zakat payment among the Muslim community in Jombang despite its high potential in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach with an questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 23. The findings reveal that zakat literacy and motivation have a positive and significant effect on professional zakat payment behavior. Conversely, attitude shows a negative and significant influence. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affect the behavior of professional zakat payment, accounting for 32.3% of the behavioral variance. These results highlight the importance of integrative efforts encompassing cognitive, affective, and motivational dimensions to enhance zakat compliance. The study provides practical insights for zakat institutions in developing more effective educational programs and communication strategies to promote professional zakat.

Abstract

Non-cash zakat based on QRIS is an activity based on the current situation. The author would like to invite readers to understand the strategy in conducting QRIS zakat transactions in realising the values of Sustainable Development, reading the opportunities and challenges therein to achieve justice for humanity. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature review, which provides research results that the indicators of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in the QRIS non-cash zakat management strategy include: SDG 9 (industry, innovation, and infrastructure) and SDG 10 (reducing inequality), which provide appropriate and broader solutions for the community in accessing payment systems with inclusive and adaptive technological means. SDG 16 (strong, transparent, and accountable institutions) and SDG 17 (partnerships for the goals) support SDG 4 (quality education) and SDG 10 (reducing inequality) in the context of equitable access to information. To realise these indicators, it is necessary to pay attention to the strategy of managing non-cash QRIS zakat by developing digitalisation in all sectors, strengthening technological infrastructure in zakat institutions, strengthening digital literacy and human resource development, and integrated multi-sector collaboration in zakat digitalization.

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the impact of transparency and institutional image on donor trust, as well as the ability of the variable amanah to moderate the effect of transparency and institutional image on donor trust in fundraising and donation management for Palestine. This research employs a quantitative approach. The population and sample consist of 100 DT Peduli Jambi donors who contributed to Palestine, selected using probability sampling with a simple random sampling technique. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression and moderated regression analysis. Based on the findings and discussion, transparency and institutional image are the main factors influencing donor trust. Both function as signals that reduce information asymmetry and shape public perceptions of institutional credibility and reputation. The inability of amanah to moderate the relationship between transparency, institutional image, and donor trust represents an important finding of this study. Amanah does not directly influence donor trust in this context but rather functions as an inherent moral foundation within the institution.

Abstract

National economic growth is affected by both traditional fiscal policies, like taxation, and Islamic fiscal tools, such as zakat.  This study seeks to examine the function of zakat as an Islamic financial tool in Indonesia's economic development, utilizing tax revenue as a moderating variable.  Secondary sources for this research were acquired from the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS), the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) covering the period from 2001 to 2024.  The analytical approach employed is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) utilizing STATA software to examine the impact of the interplay between zakat and tax revenue on economic growth.  The findings of this study indicate that zakat exerts a negative and significant influence, whereas tax revenue can enhance the synergy between zakat and economic growth.  This indicates the merger of conventional and Islamic fiscal systems to broaden the state's revenue base and enhance productive economic activity.  These findings affirm that zakat serves as a supplementary tool for fiscal policies aimed at equity and a healthy econom.
