Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of differentiated guidance and counseling services at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta, one of private junior high schools in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This research was carried out by taking a sample of 4 classes, namely 8a, 8b, 8c, and 8d. The methods used in this research are observation and study literature to strengthen the research argument. Apart from that, we also used a qualitative descriptive approach in answering the questions in this research. SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta implements differentiated guidance and counseling services by distributing questionnaires to determine students' learning needs and characteristics. From the results of the questionnaire, a service implementation plan was prepared as a guideline for implementing guidance and counseling services in the classroom.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of teachers in dealing with bullying behavior in students in grades I to VI at SD Negeri Balirejo, one of public elementary schools in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach. Subjects in this research include teachers and students at school. The data collected in this research are processed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the research results, the role of class teachers in dealing with bullying, namely (1) as a mediator and facilitator, by cultivating positive relationships, encouraging good social behavior, and seeking learning resources; (2) as a guide by providing explanations and actions when bullying occurs; (3) as an advisor by providing advice; and (4) giving sanctions, put up posters of positive habits.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of Canva media in Indonesian language learning, especially advertising text materials, slogans, and posters for eighth-grade students of junior high school. This research used a descriptive qualitative method to figure out how the use of Canva could impact on the students’ performance during the classroom session. The subjects in this research were 32 eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Yogyakarta, a public junior high school located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The findings provides the insights that the use of Canva media in learning advertising texts, slogans, and posters can improve the students’ learning outcomes, thinking skills, and their ability to master digital technology at the learning.

Abstract

Using strategy in protecting environment is very important, since it can encourage a caring attitude towards the surrounding environment. This research aims to find out the efforts of SD Muhammadiyah Karangkajen, a private elementary school in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in implementing the policy of reuse, reduce, and recycle (3R) to improve environmental literacy for students. It is a qualitative research which collected the data through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results suggest that the efforts made to foster environmental literacy in students at SD Muhammadiyah Karangkajen through the 3R movement were carried out with supporting things such as refraction through culture, rules, the introduction of Adiwiyata program, and classroom learning based on the living environment.

Abstract

Education plays a central role in the formation of individuals and society. The relationship between teachers and students in the educational environment is a key factor that influences students' learning experiences and development. Teachers, as learning agents, have the responsibility to create an environment that supports students' academic and social growth. This research focuses on teacher-student interactions related to Academy Reaction and Social Reaction in class X students at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta. In the context of lessons, including physics subjects, there has been no research that specifically examines teacher-student interaction relationships in the aspects of Academy Reaction and Social Reaction at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta. This research aims to fill this knowledge gap and identify factors that influence students at these schools. This research provides valuable insight into the role of teachers in students' academic and Social Reactions and emphasizes the need to consider variations in teaching approaches to meet students' diverse needs.
