Adaptive modulation is a powerful technique to increases the throughput of a wireless network by adjusting the modulation scheme to the channel status. We investigate the throughput returns due to the employments of adaptive modulation techniques (MPSK:M-ary Phase Shift Keying or MQAM:M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation). In this project, the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance and spectral efficiency of a coded adaptive modulation technique over a multipath fading channel (no fading, flat fading and dispersive fading) will be implemented. By using simuation, we find out that the SNR increased because higher modulation technique is use. While SNR decrease when the lower modulation technique is use.For this case, when SNR>8dB, bit rate is 54Mbps, the 64QAM ¾ is apply and when SNR<1, bit rate is 6Mbps, the BPSK ½ is implement. This results in good data rates in the system. Therefore, Adaptive modulation systems offer a significant throughput and/or power gain compared to non-adaptive transmission, particularly when the channel conditions are slowly time varying and a reliable feedback channel is available.

An expert system is a transfer of knowledge from an expert to a computer system, so the system can be used by people who are not experts in solving the problem as was done by experts. Many cases can be used as research in expert systems, one of which diagnoses the cause engine damage. This research will design an expert system that can diagnose the cause of damage to the engine type OM366A ercedes-Benz. The method used in this study is the use of backward chaining method in the process of diagnosing it. This expert system is very useful to make it easier for technicians to perform diagnostics, so that will speed in getting a solution to the cause engine damage and repair actions in accordance with the selected type of damage and without the presence of an expert. This expert system application designed using Microsoft Visual Basic.Net 2008, Add-On Develover Express 2011and Microsoft Access 2010 as a repository for the knowledge base.

Pada Rumah Sakit Umum Cut Meutia Sistem Informasinya masih kurang cepat dan akurat seiring dengan perkembangannya teknologi informasi, pada Rumah Sakit tersebut permintaan barang setiap hari untukkeperluan rumah sakit sangat banyak, dalam memproses data barang yang telah diminta masih menggunakan cara manual dan membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk memperoleh data, pengeditan, dan pengiputan yaitu harus menjumpai bagian pengelolanya. Sistem informasi dibuat yaitu berbasis web, untuk memperoleh kecepatan dalam penyampaian informasi. Dalam perancangan ini pembuatan sistem informasinya menggunakaan PHP dan MySQL dan untuk memodelkan data dan proses menggunakan perancangan DFD dan ERD, pada sistem ini data hanya hanya bisa dilihat berdasarkan bulan dan dana yang minta, sehingga dengan adanya sistem ini diharapkan memudahkan user dalam pengolahan data.

Program Sistem Informasi merupakan salah satu program yang banyak digunakan oleh banyak instansi-instansi dalam era globalisasi sekarang ini, baik itu instansi pemerintah maupun swasta seperti perusahaan-perusahaan dalam menjalankan aktivitas sehari-hari yang berhubungan dengan penyajian data secara cepat dan akurat. Untuk Memudahkan pengolahan data Seniman pada Dinas Perhubungan, Pariwisata, dan Kebudayaan maka penulis merancang sebuah sistem informasi yang mampu membantu proses pendataan (database). Perancangan system informasi tersebut menggunakan metode pengumpulan data yang kemudian berlanjut kearah penggambaran Diagram Konteks, DFD, ERD dan Rancangan Desain Input dan Output dari system ini. Hasil yang penulis harapakn dari tulisan ini agar sistem informasi data Seniman pada Dinas Perhubungan Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Lhokseumawe yang berbasis komputer dapat terus di kembangkan.

Many computer users pay more attention upon computer games, using this kind of computer features make the user able to stay long in fron of computer. The implementation of "Permainan Peran (Role Play) Untuk Pembelajaran Shalat" is one effort to follow the trend, with one hope the religious application have their own place in computer users mind. Thepattern of this Shalat learning application can generate interactive image dan sound, they can motivate and boast the spirit the users in learning shalat. It can help users to keep a close watch and frequently memorize the text to read in shalat while seing the picture of body movement as well even without the guidance of teacher.This application is not such as other game application which focuses on speed, but it stresses more on learning/memorizing the reciting and understanding the movement in shalat.

The paper of this research is used for managing the user's wireless network that can be accessed using hotspot method in terms of improving the stability of internet access in accordance with the bandwidth capacity. This research applies mark packet and mark connection techniques to divide the available average bandwidth capacity and monitor the traffic data to support the needs of network service so that each client can work with the bandwidth capacity in accessing the internet. The form of this research is case study applying researchand development method and the techniques of data collection are in forms of observations, interviews, and documentation studies. This research applies NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) method and uses Top-Down approach. The result of this research shows the ways of allocating the bandwidth numbers being available for each user to have stable and prevalent internet access and ease the operators in monitoring the users. In this case, the researcher uses Winbox as a software and Mikrotik OS as router and gateway in dividing the bandwidth

Server security is an absolute requirement to be met in the secure data by network administrator. An application to remote server is still fairly secure called secure shell (SSH). But the recent developments other parties can retrieve password from a remote login service using SSH with bruce-force method. Therefore, it needs layered security. For that to improve the security of remote ssh server using a symmetric cryptosystem that can be applied to each user who wants to remote into the server must already have a key file from the server.

Identification of image is needed to facilitate the work of humans in terms of classification. The statistical method is one method often used to identify image. Identtification process in this research is a process where the images of children and adult face were used as an input for the purpose of age classification using the features of the second order. Calculated value is the value of Energy, Contrast, and Entropy. Calculation of statistical method of second order characteristics (Energy, Contrast and Entropy) is by measuring the contrast, granularity androughness of an area of the neighborhood relations between pixels in the image. System output is to determine the input image is the image of a child or adult. The test showed that percentage of the success was 83% for images those have been in practice, while the test for images outside the training showed the percentage success rate of 67%.

Landslides is one form of natural disasters that often occur suddenly, its effects cause substantial losses in terms of both material and loss of life. In Indonesia, natural disasters are very common one is because Indonesia has a high rainfall which category each year. The authorities deal with this natural disaster is very difficult to predict when the occurrence of landslides in certain areas because the symptoms are not seen clearly coupled with the location of areas difficult to reach. In the theory of fuzzy logic could be worth a value of true and false at the same time but how much truth and error a value depending on how much weight they have membership. Fuzzy logic contained in the fuzzy set is groupings of things based on variable language (linguistic variables)are expressed in the membership function of zero to one. Fuzzy logic-based intelligent systems can be used as an examination to predict areas prone to landslides. In this research, the landslide prediction system created a web-based reference that can be used as a tool to predicting certain areas against possible landslides. Users must input some parameters consisting of rainfall, soil slope, elevation of the land, soil type, and land use which is subsequently processed into the system by using fuzzy logic and the results will be displayed according to the input data that has been entered by the user. It can be concluded that the landslide-prone area prediction system has high accuracy and can beused easily.
