The Indonesian Community Development Journal (ICODEV) is a scientific journal (scientific journal) in the field of community development and Islamic counseling. This journal is managed and published by the Da`wah Faculty of IAIN Purwokerto. The idea of publishing this journal was motivated by the lack of publication of scientific papers in the field of community development and Islamic counseling. The presence of this journal is intended to facilitate the publication and dissemination of articles and research results for both lecturers, researchers, experts, practitioners and students both internally and externally. With the publication of this journal, it is hoped that it can support scientific development, especially in the field of community development and Islamic Counseling Guidance.

Abstract

This study discusses the Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School Program organized by BAZNAS Yogyakarta City. The Dhuafa Islamic Boarding School program is held in the month of Ramadan. The purpose of this research is first to find out the program of activities aimed at the poor. Second, to find out the results of the program of activities on the quality of life of the poor who become santri in the poor Pesantren. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The subjects in this study were the poor who became students at the orphanage boarding school. The data collection method used in this research is the method of interview, observation, and documentation. The type of observation in this study uses an involved type of observation. Meanwhile, in analyzing this research, the writer uses the ideas put forward by Pijono and Pranarka regarding the concept of empowerment. The results of this study show that the form of improving the living standards of the poor through the Pesantren program for the poor organized by BAZNAS Yogyakarta is in the form of students getting motivation, self-awareness to improve their work ethic and quality of life. These poor people also gain knowledge about religion and have the ability to read the Qur’an

Abstract

Community development becomes an interesting research field to study, this is due to the increasing variety in community development. Without focusing on natural resources (SDA) owned, creative communities in pouring ideas to develop. Guided by creativity and community has the desire to build a village, this becomes the main value that must be applied. But this study will present an understanding of how religion and society have a close relationship, not in terms of routine worship practices. The application of religious values in social life, specifically regarding the development of society. The approach in this study uses the study of literature or literature from various references obtained. It does not justify any understanding, but that the development of a society based on religious values and the development of a special Islamic society also has its own advantages, this goes back to the decisions of the community itself in practice.

Abstract

Brown sugar is one of the artificial sweetener products made from coconut sap water and has long been produced by the Indonesian people. Brown sugar is also an alternative food sweetener that is the main source of livelihood for some rural Kalijeruk communities. The purpose of this study was to determine the productivity and contribution of brown sugar to people’s incomes and the utilization of coconut tree resources. Calculation of productivity and income contribution of the Kalijeruk village community because during a pandemic like today, many people have lost their jobs so as to cope with the economy. Some people take advantage of the natural resources of coconut trees in the community by making brown sugar and market snacks. The method used by the author is the direct observation method of making brown sugar from tapping or tapping to making and packaging brown sugar so that sales generate quite a lot of income, from that the packaging is made varied.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) is an infectious disease that attacks the respiratory system and it was declared a pandemic in 2020. The Indonesian government has made the 5M health protocol as a prevention against the transmission Covid-19. However, there are some people (including residents of Grogolpenatus Village) who do not implement the health protocol. This quantitative study uses a pre-experimental design with a “one group pretest-post test” approach. The population in this study were residents of Grogolpenatus Village aged 31-59 years, 30 of them were randomly selected to be the sample. Data collection techniques of structured interviews used instruments in pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Data were analyzed using bivariate analysis Wilcoxon. The results showed that there was an effect of education on the 5M health protocol on knowledge (p=0.00), attitudes (p=0.00), and Covid-19 prevention behavior (p=0.00) in residents of Grogol Penatus Village, Petanahan District, Kebumen Regency

Abstract

Eduwisata Kampung Gagot is one form of social entrepreneurship activity that relies on the cooperation and participation of the people of Kampung Gagot as an effort to improve the economy and joint welfare. This research aims to describe and analyze the social entrepreneurship process in the development of Kampung Gagot Eduwisata. Researchers use this type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The techniques used in data collection are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysts use data reduction measures, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. The results showed that the process of social entrepreneurship in the development of Eduwisata Kampung Gagot includes, the first is the stage of antecedents, namely starting from determining social missions and identifying social problems as opportunities to be used as a business or business by utilizing existing resources. Second, the stage of entrepreneurial orientation is a strategy used in the development of Eduwisata Kampung Gagot by making the right innovations and risk-taking and does not take issue with competitors to continue to develop and achieve goals. Third, the outcomes stage is the result that wants to be achieved in the social entrepreneurship process in the development of Eduwisata Kampung Gagot, namely the creation of social value by changing mindsets and encouraging people to develop together, create jobs, and achieve prosperity
