Abstract

Development of information and communication technology was changed the way individuals interact and build online identities in social media. The aims of this study to analyze the online identity of Aganta Ramadanu, known as @iniganta on TikTok, the context creator of the comedy content presented. The method qualitative approach with content analysis was used, which allows researchers to explore how Aganta builds a consistent and authentic self-image on the platform. The results showed that Aganta successfully managed the challenge of context collapse, where diverse audiences have different expectations, while still maintaining authenticity in the uploaded content. In addition, the research also identifies the risks and opportunities Aganta faces regarding privacy and participatory surveillance, and their impact on interactions with audiences. The findings provide insights into how online identities can be shaped and managed in the age of social media, as well as the importance of personal branding strategies in creating strong relationships with followers.

Abstract

Using Henri Tajfel and John Turner's Social Identity Theory, this study examines Gibran Rakabuming Raka's personal branding approach on the TikTok platform Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the research explores how Gibran builds an online identity, manages a diverse audience, and overcomes privacy risks on social media. Through innovative and engaging TikTok content, Gibran was able to establish his own brand as a youthful leader who is up to date, relatable to the younger generation, and responsive, according to the findings. With more than 4.8 million followers, Gibran is able to create emotional closeness and build positive public perceptions of his leadership.

Abstract

A well-known public figure in Indonesia, Habib Husein Ja'far Al Hadar is recognized for his inclusive and contemporary approach to preaching. His presence on social media has sparked numerous debates and conflicts, while also creating a distinctive online persona that captures attention. This analysis will explore how Habib Husein Ja'far has built his unique online identity, managed interactions with diverse audiences, and addressed the challenges posed by online disputes and attacks. The findings suggest that while Habib Husein Ja'far has successfully established a significant online presence, there is a need for government regulation to mitigate the dangers posed by online conflicts and harassment. This article examines the success story of the founders of Greenly, a leading green technology company that is revolutionizing our approach to sustainability. Despite their humble beginnings, Greenly’s founders faced many challenges, including limited resources, market skepticism, and technical obstacles. But with a clear vision of creating a greener world, Greenly’s founders used technological innovation, adaptive business strategies and strategic partnerships to create what is now a global symbol of sustainability and innovation. We have built a company that has become Greenly inspires industry and society to contribute to protecting the environment through products and services that support carbon footprint reduction, energy efficiency and waste management. Abstract

Jerome Polin is a well-known Indonesian YouTuber and content creator who often combines comedy and science in his humorous and educational videos. He has successfully built a strong and likable online persona. Through a varied content strategy and constructive audience engagement, he appears to have effectively handled the challenges of context collapse. However, he must remain aware of the dangers posed by misinformation and the potentially harmful effects of participatory surveillance. This analysis will explore how Jerome Polin has created his online identity, managed interactions with a wide range of audiences, and navigated the risks associated with online participation and privacy. The findings suggest that Jerome Polin has cultivated a successful online presence but must continue to be cautious about the risks inherent in the digital landscape. Abstract

Social media has become an important platform in building personal branding in the digital era. This research aims to explore Tasya Farasya's personal branding strategy as a beauty influencer through a descriptive qualitative approach using Social Identity Theory. The research method was conducted through in-depth observation of Tasya Farasya's social media content on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok platforms. The results showed that Tasya succeeded in building a strong personal branding through several main strategies, namely specialisation in beauty, consistency of content, active interaction with followers, honesty, and optimal use of social media. Analysis using the concepts of categorisation, identification and intergroup comparison in Social Identity Theory reveals how Tasya constructs her identity as an influential beauty influencer. This research provides an in-depth insight into the formation of personal branding on social media and the potential of individuals in building an authentic and influential self-image.

Abstract

Justinus Laksana has successfully created a strong and credible online persona as a football expert, known for his outspoken, critical, and insightful commentary. By leveraging a bold communication style, football-centric content, and consistent messaging, he has effectively managed the challenges of online reputation and audience engagement. Despite facing potential criticism and polarization, Laksana has used these opportunities to spread knowledge, strengthen his reputation, and advance his career in football. This analysis examines how Laksana has built and maintained his digital identity, navigated interactions with a diverse audience, and addressed privacy and reputation concerns in the digital space. The findings suggest that while Laksana has established a powerful online presence, there are critical areas where further strategic measures are necessary to safeguard his personal information and reputation. Abstract

One of the famous people in Indonesia who has a big influence on social media is Rachel Vennya. This analysis will look at how Rachel Vennya creates her online persona, handles interactions with various audiences, and negotiates the benefits and concerns of participatory surveillance and privacy. The results of the analysis are that Rachel Vennya has been financially successful and has a solid web presence. In the face of extensive participatory surveillance, however, they have difficulty managing their content, maintaining relative authenticity, and maintaining their privacy. Highlights: Strategic Online Persona – Rachel Vennya carefully curates her content to maintain an engaging and influential online presence while balancing personal branding and relatability. Abstract

This research explores how public figures, particularly Dian Sastrowardoyo, shape their online identities on Instagram and manage context collapse, as well as the risks and opportunities faced related to privacy and surveillance. Using the content analysis method pioneered by Harold D. Lasswell and netnography, the data was collected through online observation and content analysis from Dian Sastrowardoyo's Instagram account. The results show that Dian uses Instagram to form an online identity consistent with her public image as an actress and activist, with key patterns such as image consistency, social activism, and limited personal life. In managing context collapse, Dian uses strategies such as audience segmentation, curated content, and the use of different languages. The research also identified significant privacy risks, including the potential for misuse of personal information and surveillance by media and fans, as well as opportunities to expand influence and reach a wider audience. With the right strategy, Dian can manage these risks and take advantage of the opportunities that exist to strengthen her online identity. This research provides in-depth insights into the dynamics of online identities and privacy challenges in the digital era, as well as the importance of the right strategies in managing online identities and maintaining privacy on social media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies used by the Instagram account @keanuagl in building popularity on social media platforms. As one of the public figures who has succeeded in attracting the attention of the audience in a relatively short time, this account is an interesting example to study, especially in the context of content strategy and interaction with followers. This study uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis method, observing upload patterns, types of content, and how the account interacts with the audience. The results show that the success of @keanuagl is influenced by several main factors, such as consistency in uploads, use of humor and personal narratives, and collaboration with other public figures. In addition, the use of interactive features such as Stories, Live, and comments also contribute to increasing follower engagement. This study provides insight into how social media strategies can be used effectively to build popularity and strengthen relationships with audiences in the digital era. This study analyzes the strategy of the Instagram account @keanuagl in building popularity. With a qualitative approach and content analysis, the study observed upload patterns, types of content, and interactions with followers.
