Abstract

This paper aims to provide understanding to students of the Teacher Certification Program (PPG) on the importance of developing learning media as an effort to improve the process and quality of learning in schools. This training was carried out in the form of instructional media training that lasted for two days starting on August 4-5 2018. The material presented in this training consisted of two main themes, the basic concepts of learning media and the practical exercises in developing a learning media. This training involved 14 students of Teacher Certification Program in the Economic Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Makassar. The material delivery method of the training consists of the lecturing, question and answer session, discussion and drill.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program aims to synergize two competences in increasing purchasing power in markets and to correlate the competence the creative community (in this case is students majoring Visual Communication Design) on the utilization of natural resources integrated with business world (bamboo flute crafters). Based on the identification of problems and the potential of bamboo flute craftsmen in Tamalate district in Makassar, this program proposes several activities such as 1) increasing external competence of students through training in the business world in order to support the making of final assignments (produce packaging), 2) sharing competency between students and the business world in order to increase the selling value of bamboo flute through the producing of packaging and brochures as a promotional media. The results of this activity are a) training for classifying and manufacturing bamboo flutes with local materials for students. b) The implementation of producing packaging and brochure training for business community in Tamalate district of Makassar.

Abstract

Village is a legal community unit that has a regional boundary that is authorized to regulate and administer government affairs, the interests of the local community based on community initiatives, the right of origin or traditional rights, which are grew, valid, and still recognized by the community in the government system of Indonesia. For the sake of the effectiveness of the village governance administration, the village government needs to be supported by the lawful village administration. Village administration is very important in managing village activities. The lawful and correct management of village administration is determined by the ability of the village apparatus. Limited resources of the village apparatus will affect the management of village administration. The purpose of this coaching program is to increase the capacity (ability) in the form of knowledge, understanding of government officials in the village administration in implementing the village administration model. In order to achieve these objectives, this coaching program provide a counseling session, mentoring and training to village officials. This activity is conducted for three months, which covers the preparation, implementation, strengthening program and evaluation stages. The results from the evaluation stage indicate that there is a change in the capacity of partner village officials in the management of village administration. The village apparatus highly appreciates and follows theguidance and strengthening of the program through practice using a module contains thirty-two village administration models.

Abstract

Bullying is an abnormal, unhealthy, and socially unacceptable behavior in the social environment. The number of bullying cases that occurred lately has been triggered by various kinds of things such as lack of knowledge about bullying or a less strict school rules system and trivial assumptions about bullying treatment. If the society ignored this issue, it will have a very fatal impact because it will unconsciously provide bullies power to the bullying actors, create unhealthy social interaction, and increase the culture of violence. Therefore the need to develop a sense of empathy, respect and love among students is crucially needed by providing compassion training so that bullying behavior can be minimized.

Abstract

Walanae Drainage Basin (DAS) in Sabbangparu district of Wajo regency has promising potential with plentiful of fish yields and adequate water sources. However, this condition does not make the people healthier and prosperous. The problems faced by the community in this village are the lack of facilities and technology in processing and utilizing the existing local potential, the quality of clean water is still low, and the slum environment. The main program is the implementation of appropriate technology for water purification systems and processing of fish into ready-to-eat meals, processing various processed fish, which is expected that their quality of life and income will increase. The results are expected to 1) help the community succesfully produce their own processed fish products such as abon and crackers made of fish, (2) fish meatballs, (3) and (4) the availability of a simple water purification system for each family. Thus, it is expected that their quality of life in Sabangparu can increase, including their income.
