Abstract

The Community Partnership Program is aimed attarget communities, namely community groups living on theoutskirts of the Cenrana River, precisely in Baleng Village,Watampanua Village, Pammana Distric, Wajo Regency,which in daily life uses river water for its needs. The purposeof the Community Partnership Program carried out is toincrease the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of communitygroups on the importance of consuming clean water forhealth. In its efforts to obtain clean water that is suitable forconsumption and fulfill the health requirements, additionalknowledge is needed of water purification technology that canbe applied to the household. The method used is the lecturemethod, discussion and question and answer on socializationactivities, and the method of demonstration in trainingactivities. The results achieved are partner communities to beaware and skilled about the importance of consuming cleanwater and how to clear water so that it becomes feasible toconsume

Abstract

The Campus Intellectual Product BusinessDevelopment Program (PPUPIK) is a community serviceprogram that provides opportunities for universities to earnincome and help to create new business. Through thisprogram, Biology Experimental Farm (BEF) of Faculty ofMathematics and Science of Universitas Negeri Makassarassigned to the program in order to make BEF as profitableunit as learning resources and carrying out various productionactivities of stuff and services which are the implementation ofresearch results from lecturers and students in BiologyDepartment. A number of activities carried out included theproduction of bokasi, liquid organic fertilizers, fuel husks, andplanting media. Production of viticulture and hydroponicinstallations, cultivation of ornamental plants, chickenbreeding, development of media and learning resources andmaking BEF as learning resources and a learning destinationsfor students in South Sulawesi. In addition, through thisPPUPIK program, improvement and refinement of the biologyexperiment garden environment was carried out. PPUPIKactivities in the Biological Experimental Garden involvestudents in its various programs.

Abstract

Community Partnership Program is one of thecommunity service programs which is problem solving,comprehensive, meaningful, complete and sustainable aimingfor diverse targets. Among the problems faced by thecommunity especially the small and medium enterprises is theutilization of technology. In particular, the problems which thebrick-making groups in Ujung Bulu Sub-district as PKMpartners have so far faced include: (1) insufficient knowledgein the efficient and effective process of brick making, (2)inadequate skills in accurate production of bricks, (3) lowcapability in massive production of bricks, 4) Less informationabout modern brick-making tools. The Community PartnershipProgram (PKM) for the brick-making groups in Ujung BuluSub-district aimed: (1) to increase knowledge in the efficientand effective process of brick making, (2) to improve skills inthe accurate production of bricks, (3) to promote capability inthe massive production of bricks (4) to increase the knowledgeand skills in the modern production of bricks. The methodsused for the presentation consist of lectures, discussion, andinteractive questions and answers, and demonstration for theapplied technology. The Community Partnership Program forthe brick-making groups in Ujung Bulu Sub-district hasresulted in: (1) sufficient knowledge in the efficient andeffective process of brick making, (2) adequate skills in theaccurate production of bricks, (3) decent capability in themassive production of bricks, (4) satisfactory knowledge andskills in the modern production of bricks.
