Abstract

Kinetic art is a style of art that developed in the mid-20th century. Presenting movement as an aesthetic element makes kinetic works unique. The movement shown is also to strengthen the theme of the work. Creating a butterfly-themed kinetic work requires up and down movement as a visual of the flapping of the wings. Utilizing the Sg 90 servo motor can be the choice of the driving motor. Therefore research is needed on the Sg 90 servo. Servo 90 requires supporting components to be able to realize the desired butterfly wing flapping motion. The final result of the research is a mechanical module that can be applied in butterfly-themed kinetic works.Seni kinetik merupakan gaya seni rupa yang berkembang di pertengahan abad ke- 20. Dengan menampilkan gerakan sebagai salah satu elemen estetis, menjadikan karya kinetik memiliki keunikan tersendiri. Gerakan yang ditampilkan juga untuk memperkuat tema karya. Menciptakan karya kinetik bertema kupu-kupu, memerlukan gerakan naik turun sebagai visual kepak sayap. Memanfaatkan motor servo Sg 90 dapat menjadi pilihan motor penggerak. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian/riset terhadap servo Sg 90. Servo 90 membutuhkan komponen pendukung untuk dapat mewujudkan gerak kepak sayap kupu-kupu yang di inginkan. Hasil akhir penciptaan karya ini berupa modul mekanik yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam karya kinetik bertema kupu-kupu. Abstract

Minangkabau culture is a culture that is owned by the Minangkabau people and develops throughout the Minangkabau area and overseas areas. This culture is one of the two major cultures in the archipelago which are very prominent and influential. Minangkabau culture must continue to be preserved by the Minang community so that it does not fade with the times. In the past, BAM was a subject that had to be in class, especially in West Sumatra. Applied at the elementary level by exploring the original Minangkabau culture. However, along with the times and the change of the Education Unit Level curriculum (KTSP) to the 2013 Curriculum (K13) curriculum, BAM subjects were no longer studied in schools in West Sumatra, especially Padang Pariaman. Departing from this condition, an educational media was created in the form of the Minang Ranah board game which was specifically designed as a strategy to maintain Minangkabau natural culture so that children can still get to know the culture in a fun and not monotonous way. And a study was conducted which aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Minang Ranah Board Game which consisted of board game design, language, material and effective gameplay for the application of the educational board game. The method used in research on the application of board games as a media for Minangkabau culture education is qualitative and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). From the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) that has been conducted, it was found that Minangkabau educational board games are effective as an attraction for children to learn Minangkabau natural culture in terms of material, design and gameplay that make children happy while learning while playing. Budaya Minangkabau adalah kebudayaan yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Minangkabau dan berkembang di seluruh kawasan dan daerah perantauan Minangkabau. Budaya ini merupakan salah satu dari dua kebudayaan besar di Nusantara yang sangat menonjol dan berpengaruh. Budaya Minangkabau harus terus dilestarikan oleh masyarakat minang agar tidak pudar oleh perkembangan zaman. Dulu BAM ini merupakan mata pelajaran yang harus ada di kelas terutama daerah Sumatera Barat. Diterapkan pada jenjang SD dengan mendalami budaya asli minangkabau. Namun seiring perkembangan zaman serta  pergantian kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP ) menjadi kurikulum Kurikulum 2013 (K13) mata pelajaran BAM sudah tidak dipelajari di sekolah-sekolah Sumatera Barat khususnya Padang pariaman. Berangkat dari kondisi ini diciptakan sebuah media edukasi dalam bentuk board game Ranah Minang yang dirancang khusus sebagai strategi mempertahankan budaya alam minangkabau agar anak anak bisa tetap mengenal budaya dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan tidak monoton. Dan dilakukan sebuah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas dari Board Game Ranah Minang  yang terdiri dari Desain Board game, Bahasa, materi dan alur permainan yang efektif untuk pengaplikasian board game edukasi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian penerapan board game sebagai media edukasi budaya Minangkabau ini adalah kualitatif dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Abstract

The pandemic has disrupted the rhythm of life, especially the rhythm of urban people's lives. Women, often experience a double burden. This is because the center of activity shifted to home. Working from home, school from home, making mothers busy, women at home become overwhelmed. Urban women need to maintain both physical and psychological health to manage their minds to stay positive. Positive thinking is needed to deal with pressure and uncertain conditions, and it is not yet known when it will end. One of the activities that dominates the most activities at home during the pandemic is activities characterized by crafts / hand skills, such as embroidery, knitting, patchwork. This paper traces women's activities during the pandemic which focused on home textile crafts. The aim is to find out what benefits are obtained from these activities and what values make them so attractive to urban women. The search uses practice-based research methods through literature, observations on social media, interviews, and practice in the studio. Improving the quality of life, releasing tension, maintaining 'sanity', pleasant time for yourself is some of the qualities gained from home textile craft activities.

Abstract

This article describes the media transfer process of the long epic Mahabharata into a comic series entitled Baratayuda. The transfer media for the Mahabharata text analyzed in this study is the end of chapter (parwa) four, “Virata Kingdom”, and the beginning of chapter (parwa) five of the Mahabharata epic, namely “Preparations for War”. This part was transferred in the form of the Baratayuda comic series volume 4 entitled “Midnight Negotiations”. The characters in the Baratayuda comic are compared with the manga comic, Saint Seiya. The Baratayuda comic does not directly imitate the character of the knight in Saint Seiya. However, when reading the Barayuda comic, the reader’s association will immediately focus on the manga comic because the characters highlighted are very similar to the manga knight comic characters because of the similarity in the visualization of the five hero characters in both comics. as well as panels - the Baratayuda comic which adapts the manga comic model, Saint Seiya. The transfer of the Mahabharata text is a form of creativity in processing the manuscript text into a more popular form. Therefore, this research provides an illustration that ancient manuscripts that are difficult to reach by the general public can be transformed into a more contemporary form so that they can be accessed by the wider community. Tulisan ini menguraikan proses alih wahana epos panjang Mahabharata menjadi serial komik yang berjudul Baratayuda. Alih wahana teks Mahabharata yang dianalisis dalam kajian ini adalah akhir parwa empat, ”Kerajaan Wirata”, dan awal parwa lima epos Mahabharata, yaitu ”Persiapan Perang”. Bagian tersebut dialihwahanakan dalam bentuk komik seri Baratayuda jilid 4 yang berjudul ”Perundingan Tengah Malam”. Karakter tokoh dalam komik Baratayuda dibandingankan dengan komik manga, Saint Seiya. Komik Baratayuda pada dasarnya tidak serta merta meniru secara langsung karakter tokoh ksatria dalam Saint Seiya. Namun, ketika membaca komik Baratayuda, asosiasi pembaca akan langsung tertuju pada komik manga karena karakter yang ditonjolkan sangat mirip dengan karakter komik ksatria manga sebab kesamaan visualisasi lima tokoh hero pada keduanya. Pembahasan dalam tulisan ini juga menguraikan kecenderungan bentuk karakater—baik tokoh, background, maupun panel—komik Baratayuda yang mengadaptasi model komik manga, Saint Seiya. Alih wahana teks Mahabharata merupakan bentuk kreativitas dalam mengolah teks manuskrip menjadi bentuk yang lebih populer. Abstract

In the construction of patriarchal culture, women and the values that accompany them are often placed in a position that is destined to be supporting and below the position of men. Literary works were born as a response to the cultural conditions that accompanied them. On the one hand, it can be a mirror, but on the other hand, it can also be a stimulus for critical thinking about the culture itself. Literary works such as Pengakuan Pariyem by Linus Suryadi A.G., "Baju" by Ratna Indraswari Ibrahim, and "Air Suci Sita" by Leila S. Chudori emerged to stimulate critical thinking about the value of womanhood which has been constructed by patriarchal culture. Therefore, this article will try to dissect the forms of critical thinking regarding patriarchal culture and feminine values that exist in these three literary works. The method used in this article is a qualitative method with the theory of post-structuralism theory, especially Derrida's deconstruction. The results of this research show that the values of the three literary works express a critics against the construction of womanhood as subject to patriarchal culture.Dalam konstruksi budaya patriarki, perempuan dan nilai-nilai yang menyertainya seringkali ditempatkan pada posisi yang ditakdirkan menjadi pendukung dan di bawah posisi laki-laki. Karya sastra kemudian lahir sebagai respons terhadap keadaan budaya yang menyertainya. Di satu sisi bisa saja menjadi cermin, tetapi di sisi lain juga sebagai rangsangan berpikir kritis terhadap budaya itu sendiri. Karya-karya seperti Pengakuan Pariyem karya Linus Suryadi A.G., cerpen “Baju” karya Ratna Indraswari Ibrahim, dan cerpen “Air Suci Sita” karya Leila S. Chudori hadir untuk merangsang pemikiran kritis terhadap nilai keperempuanan yang selama ini dikonstruksi budaya patriarki. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini akan mencoba membedah bentuk pemikiran kritis terhadap budaya patriarki dan nilai keperempuanan yang ada dalam ketiga karya tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pisau bedah teori pasca-strukturalisme, terutama dekonstruksi Derrida.
