Abstract

The development of an IT infrastructure at this time is growing rapidly, plus a lot of data, company transactions are stored on the server and thus require external storage as a production data storage medium, such as transactions, employee payroll applications to email used by employees of PT. XYZ. However, there are obstacles such as data corruption on the server so that databases and applications stored on the server are lost and therefore a method is needed to protect data and back up data on the company, the method used is the snapmirror replication method. Where data on a server located in the DC (Data Center) is stored in external storage then the data is replicated on external storage located in the DRC (Disaster Recovery Center), which later the external storage will create a snapshot copy. And later it is hoped that with this snapmirror replication, if corrupt data occurs, it will be recovered properly.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless network infrastructure that requires sensor nodes to process information and communicate. Small sensor nodes generally use batteries as their energy source, causing sensor nodes to have limited power, therefore energy efficiency is needed to extend network life. The solution to overcome these problems is by using the clustering method. In this study the cluster-based routing algorithm used is LEACH-C which can function to allocate overall energy consumption between sensor nodes. In this study, LEACH-C divides the network into several clusters, each of which has a cluster head (CH). cluster head is performed at the base station based on the average energy size of all nodes. The research simulation uses a scenario of changing nodes 50, 100, and 150. The simulation results show that the number of nodes affects the value of energy consumption, the number of data packets received, and the number of packet losses.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide convenience and development in carrying out motorcycle servicing services effectively. In identifying problems with the smart motor vehicle service service system, it was found that the system used was still manual and had not been clearly coordinated. Efforts must be made, for example, to create a technology-based smart service system. such as using Rfid, Keyboard, Buzzer, Push Button, LED, Speaker The application of a smart system for servicing motorized vehicles can be carried out properly and connected to the Arduino Mega 2560. With a smart system for servicing motorized vehicles, this will greatly help the existing service system at the service station. motorbike or repair shop. By using the Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller, you can properly control the motor vehicle service smart system by utilizing the RFID sensor.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an Android-based computer network E-Dictionary application. This e-dictionary application is to assist users in searching for terms in computer networks. The method used in this study is the waterfall method, while in programming and user interface design using the Sketchware application tool. In designing this dictionary application system, using UML (Unified Modeling Language) as a system visualization into the software. The results of this study are computer network e-dictionary applications that can be used on Android-based smartphones if connected to the internet. This e-dictionary can run on an Android-based smartphone with version 5.0 and above and can also be run on a personal computer (PC) using an emulator.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design a student savings application at TK al-Hurriyah. The problem that arises is that the savings data management system that is currently running is still being done manually, recording and storing data is written in a book, and the calculations are still being done with a calculator. Based on the findings that show that the lack of an existing system indicates a deficiency in the software section to help manage savings data. So it is necessary to have a separate system for student savings, namely a web-based student savings information system. This study uses the system requirements method and system modeling using UML (Unified Modeling Language) to describe visually, which is then implemented with the PHP programming language (Hypertext Preprocessor) with MySQL database as the database used. The benefits of this research are expected to facilitate the process of collecting data on savings of TK al Hurriyah students and storing savings data, so that the information you want to get later will run quickly and accurately.

Abstract

Information technology has become an integral part of the ticket agent industry, enabling travel agents to improve operational efficiency and provide better service to customers. This research aims to investigate and implement a web-based ticket booking system at the "Rahayu" travel agent with the aim of expanding the geographical scope of their services. By combining related literature and relevant web references, we designed, developed and tested a ticket booking system prototype. The results show that implementing this system can increase customer comfort, operational efficiency and order accuracy, further expanding customer coverage

Abstract

This study aims to implement and analyze network security at STIA Lancang Kuning Dumai in Dumai City using the port scanning method and tarpit firewall. The main purpose of this research is to identify security holes in the network and protect the system from threats that may arise. The method used in this research is the SDLC method. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of port scanning and firewall tarpit at STIA Lancang Kuning Dumai has succeeded in significantly increasing network security. The port scan was able to identify several security holes which were then able to be fixed and strengthened. Tarpit firewalls are also effective in inhibiting attacks by slowing down and limiting attacker access. This research makes an important contribution to securing the network at STIA Lancang Kuning Dumai and provides valuable guidance for similar institutions in strengthening their security systems. However, it is important to continuously monitor new technology developments and security threats to keep systems well-protected and ready for more sophisticated attacks in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an automation system for drying and grinding coffee beans using infrared sensors and phototransistors controlled by a computer. Traditional methods are often inefficient and have a high risk of contamination. The automation system, utilizing advanced sensor technology, is expected to improve the efficiency and cleanliness of the coffee bean processing. The research methodology involves designing a system consisting of key components such as infrared sensors to detect moisture, phototransistors to measure light intensity, and actuators driven by stepper motors and DC motors. The research results show that this system can reduce drying and grinding time, improve process accuracy, and decrease manual labor involvement. Simulations and system prototypes demonstrate that this automation system can be practically applied, enhancing the efficiency and cleanliness of the coffee bean processing. In conclusion, this automation system can reduce contamination risk, increase productivity, and lower operational costs in the coffee processing industry.

Abstract

The Computer Science Study Program at Pat Petulai University is currently still adopting a conventional or manual attendance system, both in implementing and managing attendance data, so there is a need for a website that can manage attendance data and processes online. Based on these problems, this research aims to build a website-based online attendance system that can manage attendance data and processes online without having to do it manually or conventionally. By using qualitative descriptive research methods in this research, it is hoped that it can explain the results of the research that has been carried out. The use of information technology in this attendance was made with PHP, MySQL as a database and Laravel framework. System design using Unifed Modeling Language (UML) and waterfall tools as software development methods. The results of the software were tested in terms of functionality using black box testing. With the website that has been built, it is hoped that it can support the progress of the Pat Petulai University Computer Science Study Program in terms of managing student attendance data.

Abstract

Students and the general public usually have different responses to the increase in Single Tuition Fees (UKT) at universities. Protests, complaints, and support for this increase may be expressed through various social media platforms, such as YouTube. Using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method, this study analyzes comments on the YouTube platform related to the increase in UKT. Comment data is divided into three categories: positive, negative, and neutral. The evaluation results show that the SVM model achieves an accuracy of 0.88; it also demonstrates good ability to recognize negative sentiment with a precision of 0.83, recall of 0.90, and f1-score of 0.86. For neutral sentiment, the model shows a precision of 0.86, recall of 0.75, and f1-score of 0.80. Nevertheless, the SVM model achieves perfect scores for precision, recall, and f1-score of 1.00 for positive sentiment. Although the SVM model has proven effective in analyzing sentiment towards the increase in UKT on YouTube, further improvements are needed to enhance accuracy in identifying neutral sentiment.
