Abstract

From the spirit of forming a nation's character, character education emerging ideas that must be developed among dihonest, discipline, tolerance, and love of the homeland. This is where many of the concepts and patterns of character education is offered including religious based character education pattern. In this context, researchers wanted to examine further how the pattern of religious based character education in Palu Islamic Center vocational school. This research is quantitative descriptive. Researcher used statistical-based quantitative analysis. The sampling method using Slovin formula. The study design was made for the implementation of the research can be executed properly. While the research instruments are arranged to direct the implementation of research activities. The results showed that the pattern of religious based character education in in Palu Islamic Center vocational school, are not included in a subject, but is integrated in subjects. Teachers integrate values-based character of religion in the curriculum religious based character education curriculum in in Palu Islamic Center vocational school, conducted integrally teachers on the subjects and the results are effectively shaping the attitudes and behavior of students. The implication can improve students' understanding of religion. Students can understand the values ​​of Islam in all fields studied. Character is built to form attitude and good student behavior and entrenched in daily life

Abstract

This study aims to know the students` learning difficulties of descriptive statistics; know the factors that cause learning difficulties of descriptive statistics BKI student at Ushuluddin Adab and Da`wah Faculty IAINPalu. This study uses descriptive quantitative approach with research subjects are BKI students at Ushuluddin Adab and Da`wah Faculty IAINPalu. Data collection techniques were used tests and interviews. The research instrument used is a diagnostic test and interview guidelines. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The results showed that students learning difficulties statistical average of 80.06% and in the category of "Very High." Factors that lead to statistical students` learning difficulties students include factors which causes an error in the test work on the problems, internal factors and external factors. Identification of diagnostic test results indicate the kinds of mistakes made by students in doing a matter of descriptive statistics. Mistakes done by the students include: error reading and understanding about the purpose of 69.23% (high); error of understanding the concept of 68.09% (high); misapplication of the formula of 65.61% (high); fault for not writing a formula of 83.06% (very high); calculating error of 72.53% (high); fault for not writing process amounted to 31.79% (lower); error the final result of 71.91% (high); errors due to inaccuracy of 79.77% (high); and the blame for not answering the questions of 10.82% (very low)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mechanism of academic guidance services, the role of academic lecturers, lecturers and academic efforts in improving student learning motivation at IAIN Palu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method.The results showed that the mechanism of academic guidance services at IAIN Palu was first determined Academic Advisors who meet the criteria. Second, provide good academic guidance services. Third, provide guidance and assistance in the form of consultations, either individually or in groups. The role of the lecturers Academic Advisors, as a motivator, adviser, model, counselor and facilitator of students in the lecture, at IAIN Palu is it quite good, but some lecturers academic role is not optimal, it is seen most students only met with their academic advisors when signing KRS. The efforts of academic advisors in improving student learning motivation at IAIN Palu is to provide consulting services either by providing a special time for students, make a report to the head of the faculty of the coaching process, providing motivation to study harder. Therefore, the academic coaching at IAIN Palu needs to be managed effectively and efficiently so that it can mean for the educational process of students. Students are expected to be more open to their Academic Advisors discussing academic and non academic problems. Students should try to improve the harmony of their relationship with the Academic Advisors. For the Institute to improve the quality of guidance, it may be held intensive training to the Academic Advisors, and the regular monitoring of the student learning outcomes that can be implemented immediately when found students' academic problems

Abstract

Counseling and psychotherapy is one of the services providing assistance to people or individuals who have a problem of life, both individual with his own problems, problems of individuals with a family environment, and problems of the individual with the social environment. Another thing is many individuals who experience a spiritual problem. The latter is a problem experienced by an individual with his Lord, as an example: many individuals who are unable to hold a vertical relationship with God. In this context many individuals are difficult to bring fear, obey, and a sense that God is always watching the actions and behavior of each individual, thus impacting the feeling lazy and reluctant to worship, and the difficulty to abandon acts prohibited and disowned by his Lord, Allah SWT. From the description of the problems have, consequently there are the circumstances and conditions of negative psychological, such as stress and depression, if individuals do not have the endurance mentally and spiritually strong and tough, faith is weak, then it is very fragile and easily affected by the state of stress and depression. Individuals who experience these circumstances (stress and depression) is necessary and requires assistance psychologically and spiritually so that individual back stable mentally and spiritually. Abstract

The development of a scientific essay writing skills among students have been carried from the mastery of language elements to the ability to carry out the stages of creative writing process. The development of writing skills among religious colleges in particular; STAIN), IAIN), and UIN is not specifically taught. Implementation is only through learning Indonesian courses and writing scientific papers as general basic subjects (MKDU) and university compulsory subjects (MKWU) and depending on the syllabus and curriculum taught by a lecturer of Indonesian subjects. While the development of the teaching of scientific essay writing skills at public colleges are taught exclusively at universities with faculties and majors and programs of study Indonesian language and literature through the course of writing and summary writing scientific papers.The ability of the students IAIN Palu deemed not meet the criteria of the framework of writing scientific papers but requires analysis of truth in terms of the rules of the language is good and right in accordance with the enhanced spelling

Abstract

This research was qualitative design which dealt with the method of Arabic learning effectively to improve the students' speaking skill of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of IAIN Palu (the study of Arabic Education Department). The problem statements: what methods and techniques were used by the Arabic lectures in teaching Arabic lecturing at Arabic Educatiaon Department in speaking Arabic, and what methods were effective in improving the students' speaking ability at Arabic Education Department.The research result showed that the method used by the lecturers were various. The students' ability in speaking Arabic was low (under standar). That the method and technique were effective in improving the students' speaking ability was direct method or Ṭarīqah al-mubasyirah and combined with relevant method

Abstract

This type of study is descriptivequalitative aimed at describing Application Processing Standards (planning, implementation, assessment) in the learning of Islamic religious education by junior high school teacher who's been and yet Certified Educator. Results of this study were (1) The application of process standards in teaching Islamic religious education by teachers who are already Certified in (a) the administration of the learning plan declared well, (b) learning activities on the application of professional competence by the subject teacher 1, teacher 2 and teacher 3 obtaining good category, the application of pedagogical competence by subject teacher 1, teacher 2 and teacher 3 acquire assessment category Very Good, and (c) administrative assessment by the subject teacher 1 (aspects of assessment tools Well, aspects of the implementation of appraisal Fair, aspects of assessment results Good ), the subject of teacher 2 (aspects of assessment tools Very Good, aspects of the implementation of the Good, the aspect assessment Good), and teacher 3 (aspects of assessment tools Very Good, aspects of the implementation of the Good, the aspect assessment Good), (2) standard implementation process of learning Islamic religious education by teachers who are Not Certified Educator in (a) the administration of the learning plan declared Well, (b) learning activities on the application of professional competence by the subject teacher 5 and teacher 6 to obtain the category of Good and Teacher 4 acquire the category Fair, on the application of pedagogic by subject teacher 5 and teacher 6 to obtain the assessment categories Very Good and Teacher 4 to obtain the assessment categories Good, and (c) administrative assessment by subject teachers 5, teacher 6, and teacher 4 on aspects of assessment tools, aspects of the implementation of the assessment, aspects of assessment each obtain Good assessment category.Results of the research application process standards in teaching Islamic religious education in junior high school Palu by teachers who are already certified still need to be improved or not maximized as a whole, in certain cases still need attention and effort to optimize an integrated, systematic and effective according to the situation and conditions education unit and the local area

Abstract

This study discusses the campus mosque's role in the development of students` activities. Related to the development of students` activities, campus mosque of IAIN Palu has a role and a huge potential. It is obvious from the student activity every day to make the mosque as a place of study, discussion, and training for the students` agencies. Among the students` activities are the recitation of the Qur`an, reviewing the book, learning recitations, as well as regular activities undertaken Campus da`wah institution of IAIN Palu. The role of the campus mosque was also strongly felt by students and alumni who served as a manager or ta'mir mosque. They nurtured and empowered to be able to preach in addition also skilled in managing/manage the mosque well. Campus mosque of IAIN Palu also plays a role in community development. Among the basic recitation held for children around the mosque through Qur`an recitation area held each evening between Maghrib and Isha. It also held lectures for adults and parents.Optimizing the campus mosque carried out by organizing various events and activities both educational, cultural, and economic. Optimizing the role and function of the mosque is very beneficial for students` development in particular and society in general, not only in the aspect of ritual worship activities, but also for the coaching aspect of religious, social, and economic
