The purpose of the research was to (1) to know the material or product in speaking learning through task-based for internship vocational students in Sunrise Holiday Tour and Travel and (2) to develop the suitable English speaking textbook for Internship vocational students in Sunrise Holiday Tour and Travel. The design of this research study used Research and Development (R&D) in which this research aimed in developing an educational product such as textbook in tour guiding. The research subject was the internship students of Sunrise holiday tour and Travel. The procedure of development was classified into three steps (1) Pre-development, (2) development the draft after product, and (3) producing the final product. The pre-development was related to identify the problem by giving questionnaire to students and interviewing the instructor. Development the draft was gathered the information from the exciting book and the analysis and then developed it to draft of the product. The last procedure was producing the final product in which the researcher has done the editing material, asked the expert validation, revision the product and final product. The result of the research expressed that students loved the design of product and they could follow the instructions in every topic. Furthermore, the instructor said that the product was clear, appropriate and understandable textbook.

AbstractThe fundamental aim of this study was to develop reading supplementary materials using Islamic stories for an extracurricular program of senior high school level. This present study used Research and Development (R&D) design adopted from Borg & Gall (2003). Hence, several scientific procedures involved in this development were: needs analysis, studying recent theories, developing the educational product, validating the product to the experts, revision, try out and final product. Then, the final product of this present study is an exercise book of reading materials focusing on enhancing students’ interest in reading since this educational product is developed based on the students’ need and interest as Islamic learners. Perfectly, this developed product is also completed with several reading strategies and techniques to help the students in reading such as scanning and skimming, More, vocabulary exercises are also provided for the students in each unit of the book in order to Last but not the least, the final result of this study revealed that the students enthusiastically showed their interest and actively engaged in reading activities through this material development. AbstractThe existing of inappropriate English workbook for third grade students of Junior high school become main problem for the students. The existing of English Workbook has limited training and limited material for students. The aim of this study was to develop English workbook by contextual teaching and learning for third grade of SMP SIMANJAYA Lamongan. This study involves third grade students, English teacher, and two experts. The developing English workbook based on the need analysis and interview. The design of this study was Research and Development (R&D). The procedure of this study were, need analysis, writing a course grid, developing the product, try out the product and revising the final product. The instruments of this study is questionnaire. The data from the expert are analyzed and describe qualitatively. The try out is to know the whether it was appropriate and effective for students in third of Junior High school. The final product of this study is English workbook which using contextual teaching and learning. Language testing was placed in the last part of teaching and learning activity in all school. It is as tool to measure students' competence to be their performance to show their capability. In other side, beside technique and method to improve and enlarge students' performance were founded, the factors in which become the reason of both decreasing and increasing competence and performance are studied. One of them is students' preference because of their personalities. This research tries to dig pupils' performance because of their differences in term of brain dominance. Grammar test is used as the ruler since it has components in language skill namely reading and listening which are use mostly in language testing such as TOEFL and IELTS.

This study involved two of instruments, namely a student achievement and a questionnaire. The questionnaire was adopted from Gadner"AMTB and adjusted for participant understanding to collect data of the learners’ motivation. The data from a questionnaire were used to predict student motivation. Based on the empirical evidence obtained, the results of this study. Hypotesis one H1 states that Intrumental Motivation dan Integrative Motivation have significant positive influence to the Achievement. Hypothesis testing uses multiple regression analysis describe at the significance level of each X variable influences on the Y variable, toexplain that the hypothesis is accepted . The result shows that Intrumental Motivation has value ρ = 0,000 with regression coefficient of 0,400 dan Integrative Motivation has value ρ = 0,689 with regression coefficient 0,038, so hypotesis I accepted,clearly that it’s mean that faktor Intrumental Motivation factor and Integrative Motivation factor significantly has a positive influence on student achievement. Instrumental Motivation and Integrative Motivation are jointly or individually gives a significant influence on the achievement of Language Class Students in MAN I Malang. From the two Instrumental Motivation research variables, the most influential (dominant), then it is necessary to increase Instrumental Motivation factors so that the student's achieve better achievements for students in MAN I Malang.

AbstractThe request of including Special education needs students in regular classroom increasing in Senior High School. The first inclusive school in Kediri makes the researcher interested in knowing about the teachers’ differentiated instruction used in teaching English for students in inclusive classroom, technique in teaching English and the environment support. Visually impairment and autism students were chosen. The study uses qualitative case-study. Observation and interview result show that the teacher focused on their characteristic to give differentiated instruction. Techniques were grammar- translation method and co-operative learning strategy. This study aims to develop the supplementary English reading materials based on task based approach for the seventh grade of SMP Negeri Satu Atap Sumberejo. This study was conducted in order to solve the problem faced by the first grade of SMP Negerei Satu Atap Sumberejo in reading interest. The problem is about language that used in their workbook is not appropriate with their level, their workbook lack of explanation and task. Because of that the researcher wants to develop students English workbook based on students need.The result of this study is Workbook based on the students’ need. This workbook for first grade of SMP Negeri Satu Atap Sumberejo. The workbook consists of texts of the standardized materials for seventh grade in the syllabus of Curriculum 2013. With the picture to explain the materials and attractive exercise of this workbook, the student will be motivated to learn English language in the class and it supports the student in activating themselves into integrated activities in the class. So the students in seventh grade junior high school have more experiences in practicing English.

The purpose of this research is to know the preparation, processing and assessment of scientific approach in teaching the English language for students’ grade 7 level of Islamic Junior High School. The design of this study is a case study with a qualitative approach. The subject of this research is two English teachers who teach the English language in MTsN Nganjuk. Data collection in this study by conducting observations, learning documents, and conducting semi-structured interviews. The findings: 1) Teachers already working to continuously improve the preparation methods and instruments of learning that can be assessed as an indication of success in the implementation of Curriculum 2013, especially in grades 7 MTsN Nganjuk. 2) Teachers already tried the maximum to implement the appropriate lesson plans written and well though not intensive, teachers have developed competence spiritual students, social and skills through giving some advice, interaction and learning activities are inserted when explained. 3) Teachers have been implemented the assessment process in MTsN Nganjuk. In terms of assessment, the teachers used two types of assessment, namely, authentic and non-authentic.

This research was conducted to investigate whether there is any difference of students speaking skill who are taught project based learning and who are taught task based learning . there is any difference of students who have intrinsic motivation and students who have extrinsic motivation, and there is any interaction between PBL strategy and students’ motivationThe study was carried out in a population of 154 students of the XI grade at SMK NU Pace Nganjuk. A random sampling was done to select two classess out collection involved two of instruments, namely a speaking test and a questionnaire. The questionnaire in the form of topic familiarity assessment was administered to collect data of the learners’ motivation. The data from speaking test and questionnaire were used to predict students’ interest and student achievement on speaking skill . The data were analyzed by using ANOVA with the help of t SPSS v.20. the result turned out to confirm that there is significant positive effect project based learning on students’ speaking achievement and the interaction between students’ motivation and teaching technique.The result of the data analysis showed that the means of speaking of experimental group taught by using PBL strategy and the control group taught by task based learning had statistically significant difference. It indicated that the students who were taught by using PBL strategy have better score in reading comprehension than those who are taught by using Task based Learning strategy.Then the analysis of interaction factor between learning method and learning motivation showed that there is interaction between PBL strategy and students’ motivation. It meant that PBL was more effective in intrinsic motivation than conventional strategy. Based on the previous result, the highes mean score was found in group of PBL strategy with extrinsic motivation. While the lowest mean score was found in the task based learning with extrinsic motivation.Based on the result, the PBL strategy could be suggested to teacher as an alternative strategy for teaching speaking . but in this case, the students’ learning motivation influences how the students can speaking English well.Key words : speaking, PBL, motivation

The objective of this research was to develop supplementary english speaking book for students of MTsN 1 Malang Gondanglegi. This research was a research and development (R&D) study. There were two types data collection instruments in this research that is questionnaires and interview. The product was supplementary English speaking book. The product consist 4 topics that can be used as speaking topic. Each of them has some sub topics. Every topics began with find vocabularies, vocabularies relates to the topic, commom verb, common expression, some dialogues, marching words and free writing. It also completed by grammar section coded by color that can make students easy to remember.
