Abstract

The waters of the North Natuna Sea are one of Indonesia's conflict-prone maritime areas, frequently traversed by foreign vessels due to its direct border with several neighboring countries, necessitating effective maritime security assurance. To ensure this security, meticulous sea control and surveillance, particularly through the utilization of monitoring tools such as SONAR to detect foreign objects traversing or entering the North Natuna Sea waters, are required. This research aims to analyze the characteristics of underwater acoustic wave propagation patterns, particularly in the formation of silent areas or Shadow Zones, using the Parabolic Equation method (RAMGeo). Parabolic Equation propagation model (RAMGeo) simulations are conducted utilizing the AcTUP v2.2L Toolbox. Temperature and salinity data against depth obtained from Marine Copernicus for one year are utilized in this study, spanning from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, encompassing both the west and east monsoon seasons. Sound propagation velocity calculations are based on the empirical Medwin equation, with a focus on a source depth of 10 meters at frequencies of 100 and 1,000 Hz in the North Natuna Sea. Simulation results indicate that both the west and east monsoon seasons exhibit similar and dense underwater acoustic wave propagation patterns. At a frequency of 100 Hz, the Transmission Loss ranges between 30 to 60 dB, with Shadow Zone areas extending from 0 - 500 meters and from 500 - 1,500 meters. Meanwhile, at a frequency of 1,000 Hz, the Transmission Loss ranges between 30 to 70 dB, with almost no Shadow Zone area present.

Abstract

The research was conducted at water sources in Cirahab, Curuggoong village, Padarincang District, Serang-Banten Regency, research was conducted in January 2024, this research was conducted to determine the diversity of fish in the water source water ecosystem in Cirahab. The results obtained in the research There are 11 types of fish obtained during the research, including tilapia, goldfish, wader, betook, eel, nilem, chana, tawes, sili-sili, kampala (paitan) and catfish. The fish that dominate the waters of Cirahab are the wader fish which are often found there. Fishing is found in 3 places, namely places number 1, 2 and number 3. The category obtained in the fish diversity index is the "low" category because the value is -1.7255. The water parameters in Cirahab waters are ideal because they have a pH of 7, clarity of 90, water temperature of 23°C and an average depth of only 1 meter.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the community structure and diversity of plankton types in Gumawang Waterfall, Padarincang Village, Padarincang District, Serang-Banten Regency. This research was carried out in February 2024 for 1 month. This research was carried out on 4 plankton samples, with results obtained from 12 types of plankton species. The plankton that dominates or is often found at these 4 points is the Achnanthes sp type with a number of around 170 species. The results of calculations using the Species Diversity Index obtained a result of 2.176744285, this shows that the diversity of plankton species found in Gumawang Waterfall, Padarincang Village, Padarincang District, Serang-Banten Regency is in the "Medium" range in accordance with the results of the species diversity index calculation.

Abstract

The environmental problem we see today is waste. Around 70% of the total waste generation is dominated by organic waste which is considered only as residual waste that has no economic value. With the high problem of organic waste, one solution to reduce household waste such as fruit and vegetable waste into eco-enzyme is made hand sanitizer. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of eco-enzyme hand sanitizer on reducing the number of germs on hands with a dose scale of 1:600. The type of research used is experimental. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis. The samples in this study were 15 students of the undergraduate of Environmental Health study program, Muhammadiyah University, East Kalimantan. The sampling technique in this research is random sampling. Based on the results of this study, there were 13 students who experienced a decrease in the number of germs on their hands while 2 students experienced an increase in the number of germs on their hands by being treated and after being treated (Hand sanitizer). The results of the Wilcoxon bivariate test between before being treated and after being treated with the use of eco-enzyme hand sanitizers got P 0.001 (smaller than 0.05), then the eco-enzyme hand sanitizer that has been made is effective in killing germs on hands.

Abstract

This research uses data from graduate students who participated in the 5th Batch of the Teaching Campus Program at Bakti Indonesia University. The sample data used are the GPAs (Grade Point Averages) before and after participating in the program, which are processed by testing correlation analysis using the Spearman Rank method with the help of SPSS to determine the Spearman correlation coefficient (r_s) and manual calculation to determine the t_value that will be compared with t_(table )the result with a significance level of 0.01. The data shows that the GPA values before and after participating in the Teaching Campus program have a t_value ≥t_(table ), which is 5.9718 ≥ 2.807 at a significant level of 0.01 (two-tail test). Therefore, H_O is rejected, meaning there is a change in the GPAs of students who graduated from the 5th Batch of the Teaching Campus Program. Thus, students can improve their learning quality in facing problems in the field, as shown by the changes in GPA values before and after participating in the Teaching Campus program at Bakti Indonesia University.
