Abstract

Water hyacinth is one of the agricultural commodities that contain elements of lignocellulose so that a potential raw material in the manufacture of composite materials because growth is relatively fast and very easy to obtain. The purpose of this study is to make a fine powder composite specimen water hyacinth 10%, 20% and 30%, and find the value of the mechanical characteristics of the composite specimen fine powder of water hyacinth to perform tensile strength using testing standard ASTM D638M-84. Specimens were made with the simplest method (hand lay up). Furthermore, the composite was left for approximately 24 hours so that the results are as expected. From the tensile test results obtained by the value of the average voltage 14.987 KPa, average of 3.804 strain, and modulus of elasticity average 442.8 KPa. It is known that the higher the percentage of the fine powder of the resin, the higher value of tensile strength and modulus of elasticity.

Abstract

Based on emerging DHF cases occur various solutions for the prevention and control of the transmission of dengue, one of them is to create a mathematical model. The Mathematical model that was developed is a SIR (Susceptible (S), Infected (I) and recovered (R)),, where the rate of displacement of latent mosquitoes become infected mosquito is assumed constant and healthy mosquito eggs produced by infected mosquitoes and susceptible mosquitoes, while the mosquito is infected eggs produced only by infected mosquitoes. In the SIR model, an analysis is performed to assess the stability of the equilibrium point and numerical simulations. Numeric simulation was introduced to show the stability at the equilibrium state considered basic reproduction number ℛ0 .There are two equilibrium points. The first equilibrium point is a the disease-free equilibrium which is stable, ℛ0<1. The second equilibrium point is called an endemic equilibrium, which is stable, ℛ0>1. The numerical simulations show that increasing mosquitoes mortality rate makes ℛ0, infected human, latent mosquito, infected mosquito, infected egg are decrease, so as to help suppress the spread of the disease in the population.

Abstract

The hospitalis closely related to improve the human health quality, especially for the people who live in Aceh, which has health insurance facilities such as ASKES, Jamkesnas and Jaminan Kesehatan Aceh (JKA). In order to realizeand provide the better health services,it is made anapplication whichcan help the peopleto knowthe availability ofthe inpatient room via mobile phone. The results ofthis system can help family of the patients to make the right decisionin choosing the good hospitalbased onthe patient's conditionandthe availability of the inpatient room. This system isan android-based mobile, andis madeby using the techniqueof JSON data parserandthe blind search method.

Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the very important resources in a modern society. Therefore, PT PLN(Persero), as a provider ofelectricity, musthave a high integrityin serving ofelectrical energy for the society. One of the effective ways to improve the quality of service is done by recording KWH meter remotely usingGSM technology. This system consistsof clients (customers) andserver(PLN) side. The usaged of the KWH meter is read by the microcontroller system on the KWH meter side. Then, these data are transmitted to PLN server by using the SMS feature that is available in the GSM technolgy. The KWH meter is also equipped with theft of power monitoring system by adding anelectronic seal sensor on the KWH meterbox. If these alisre moved, the system will immediately send a message to PLN server tells that the custumer has already broken the seal, and the suplay of power to the custumeris cut automatically

Abstract

The distribution is an activity that is often carried out in various places, such as in schools, fairs, colleges, and other places. To attract the attention of visitors to want to take a proportion of the visitors reluctantly took a brochure distributed, because the distribution is less attractive, giving flyers with poor grammar, and disrespectful. In this study generated humanoid robot divider brochure with attractive looks, then the presence of this robot can help in the distribution process. This robot is equipped arm moves, sound, similar led eyes, and a mouth that serves to attract the attention of visitors to pick up a brochure distributed and process control using a microcontroller. The results of this study, the robotic arm can move, brochure paper can out one by one, and the robot can make a sound.

Abstract

As the development of the current technology all the things already made easy with State of the art equipment as well as prepaid electricity kWh meter functionality so users can power savings and not the onset of delinquency, this is beneficial Power of State parties (PLN) but complicates the user (consumer) in filling the power balance prepaid charging process manually via keypad. Balance SMS-based charging system will simplify the user in filling out the balance of electricity prabayarnya those in homes through official place of purchase electric token. The control system developed by mikrokontroller programming and communication interface which is connected with a digital meter prepaid and computers as well as mobile devices can run well but still the need for synchronization with the PLN to get optimal results.
