Abstract

Health equipment is a supporting tool for medical services. Health services tha are well sipported by equipment that is good, safe, and in accordance with its function so that there is no error in the patient's diagnosis. Calibration is aseries of actovities that form a relationship between the value indicated bt a measuring instrument system, or a values represented by a measuring material, with known value that are related to the magnitude measured in certain conditon.

Abstract

Ultraviolet lamp sterilizer is a hospital operating room sterilizer to avoid spore living species, as well as contaminated bacterial viruses from outside where by utilizing S. ultraviolet light type. Planning of this tool aims to obtain a design timer for ultraviolet lamp sterilizer equipped with a system ATMega8535 microcontroller based buzzer uses PIR sensor as an indicator of detecting objects in the operating room. Where this research begins with gathering resources, formulating problems, designing tools, designing tools, and performing function tests. After the device has been designed, the function test is performed for each circuit in the tool to work properly, where by measuring each circuit on the device to find out whether the device works according to a good system where by measuring power supply voltage, PIR sensor, ultraviolet lamp, relay, and buzzer.

Abstract

Shortwave Diathermy BTL 6000 is a therapy device that emits short waves that are used to warm up deep tissues and blood vessels. Shortwave Diathermy utilizes a certain frequency as a heat generator which is channeled into the patient's body tissues through electrodes and how does the time of therapy affect the heat of the body being treated. Research on Timer Analysis of the BTL 6000 Brand Shortwave Diathermy Tool was carried out using 3 time trials, then the timing was compared to the measuring instrument used, namely a stopwatch. The time settings used include 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes. The BTL 6000 Brand Shortwave Diathermy Tool worked well, the device's Timer setting system worked well, and the stopwatch was used as a comparison tool for timer measurements. Timer setting with a time of 10 Minutes, there is a time difference of 12 seconds faster than the stopwatch, Frequency mode with output power of 50 Watt, frequency 300 Hz and Effect Power 6.0 Watt. , Continuous Mode with 20 Watt output power, and 20 Watt Effect Power, While on the timer setting with a time of 30 minutes, there is a difference in time of 9 seconds longer than the stopwatch, Continuous Mode with 20 Watt power output, and Effect Power 20 Watt, In this mode Continuous, the output of the tool has the same output, with output power = 20 Watts, medium effect Power = 20 Watts too

Abstract

Infant warmer is one of the live support and saving tools that is used to provide comfort and warmth to newborns, where the baby needs a temperature that is in accordance with the temperature in the mother's womb, which is between 34 °C - 37 °C. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the maintenance of the Infant Warmer at Sarah General Hospital Medan. This research was conducted at Sarah General Hospital Medan Jl. Baja Raya No.10, Kec. Medan Baru by distributing questionnaires containing questions/statements. The type of research used is a descriptive method which was carried out from January 2018. The results obtained from the respondents, from 22 questionnaires there were 21 questionnaires answered Yes and 1 questionnaire answered No. It was concluded that the implementation of the maintenance of the Infant Warmer at Sarah Medan General Hospital was running properly, and was declared good.

Abstract

Ventilator is a mechanical aid that functions to provide breathing assistance so that patients breathe easier. this study aims to determine how the blower works in mixing oxygen and what is the rotational speed of the blower when mixing. This research was conducted by the integrated laboratory of USM-I. The research method used was descriptive with the from of quantitative survey implementation. Which aims to analyze the working principle of the blower on the ventolator. This research was conducted using a Hamilton C2 ventilator. in the blower flow measurement is done from the preassure setting points 5, 15, 25, 35, 55. The results of this study indicate that the blower works welol on the ventilator and the measurement results of each blower flow value reading does not exceed the predetermined standard limit of +-10%.

Abstract

Autoclave is heating tool and is used to sterilize things by using high pressure and high temperature steam 121C for about 15 minutes. The purpose of this tool is to kill endospores, resistant cell produced by bacteria. This cell is resistant against heat, dehydration and antibiotic. Research has been done for the design of time controlling and monitoring system at Autoclave based on microcontroller ATMega 8535. The purpose of this research is to produce Autoclave equipped with temperature controller and time monitoring which is beneficial to save energy and time using Autoclave. This tool is also equipped with circuit to detect problem. In this research, the tool’s operational system has been programmed with Thormocouple sensory system, Water Level, so the user can decide the temperature and time to be processed next by microcontroller. The initial Autoclave has been equipped with buzzer used as an alarm when the tool is not closed well and when the tool has finished operating

Abstract

Phototherapy is a therapy using blue light (bluelight) to provide therapy to babies affected by jaundice, besides as a therapeutic tool the design of this tool incorporates an infant warmer system that functions to warm newborns in low temperature conditions, then designed an Infant Warmer device equipped Phototherapy The tool is also equipped with temperature monitoring which serves to monitor the baby's body temperature when doing phototherapy. The design of this tool uses an ATMega16 microcontroller and is equipped with a temperature sensor. The working principle of this tool when the phototherapy system switch is activated it will display the time setting and temperature monitoring display.Based on the temperature data retrieval with the settings 34C, 35C and 37C, the results do not reach the set temperature. Bluelight therapy can work properly, but the results of the therapeutic rays do not reach the standard on the actual tool

Abstract

The exiting infrared therapy equipment is still operated manually and there is no long data and distance to use infrared lights(the Philips brand infrared manual type R925 UNP 20002). This raises the risk of negligence in monitoring the length of the therapy and recording the usee of lights which in turn can endanger patients and effect of therapy received . To overcome this problem, an infrared light therapy device based on Arduino Mega microcontroller is desaiengd which is equipped with setting the irradiation time and the illumination distance to be able to help physiotherapy operators, especially patiens who need infrared devices without the fear of side effects due neglect of the physiotherapy operator. The effect of the proximity sensor on the patient is that the farther the object or patient is from the patient, the temperature will decrase and vice versa, the closer the distance to the object, the hotter the temperature.

Abstract

Of the advances that have had a positive impact on the development of health equipment, one of which is an infrared therapy device. Infrared therapy is one of the tools in the field of physiotherapy that is used to improve blood circulation, helping to reduce muscle aches, muscle aches, shoulder or joint stiffness, etc. This tool is used to determine the safe distance of infrared radiation exposure and Up-down movement for a more even therapeutic process. Infrared therapy uses the HC-SR04 Ultrasonic sensor to determine the distance and drive of a DC motor. Users can simply adjust the sitting position with a distance of 45 cm to 60 cm, the lights will turn on with the specified time. This tool will work if the distance of the patient includes a distance of 45 cm to 60 cm, if the distance is below 45 cm and above 60 cm the infrared light will not turn on and the motor will turn off because the safe distance of exposure is 45 cm - 60 cm. -down according to the list of programs created. The distance display can be seen on the LCD display. The advantage of this tool is that it can determine the safe distance of infrared therapy light and up and down movements.

Abstract

Infant warmer is an electromedic device which is used to provide comfort and warmth in a newborn, where the baby needs a temperature that is in accordance with the temperature in the mother’s womb,which is between 34 C - 37 C. Infant warmer calibration activities refer to the ECRI method 415-20010301. As the treshold value or the value of passing the test is +- 2 C for temperature. The results obtained from calibration are 31,89+- 0,51 C for temperature. From these results it was stated that the GIGANTE infant warmer was declared to be suitable for use.
