Abstract

The study is aimed at knowing, understanding and describing in detail the planning and implementation of the school program and the follow-up activity of academic supervision at SMPN 3 Tabelangan Sampang Madura. The approach of the study makes use of a qualitative approach through the case study. The research subjects are school principal, vice-principal, 2 senior teachers, and 10 PNS teachers and honorarium teachers. The data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the study shows that the planning of the school program which is conducted by the school principal, vice-principal, and senior teachers, does not involve all related elements that affect the success of the academic supervision program. The implementation of academic supervision which involves school principal and senior teachers uses the direct method. The follow-up activity of academic supervision is merely giving founding and reinforcement to the teachers. Based on the result of the study, it is found that the implementation of academic supervision conducted by the school principal has not been reached effectively in improving the better teaching result.

Abstract

The ability of teachers to prepare learning plans as a reference for implementing learning is not all good. In this regard, this study aims to improve the ability of teachers to carry out learning that refers to learning plans that are measured using instruments. the research method used school action assessment through two cycles. Cycle one includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. From one cycle that has not been fulfilled, followed by the second cycle action. The research subjects were the high school teachers of the target schools in the Bangkalan District. Data collection techniques are descriptive. The indicator of success is if the value of each component is good, the value is at least 80 from a maximum value of 100. Learning planning has a minimum value of 28 from a maximum score of 35. The assessment in cycle one has not reached standard because the value is below 80 for learning and learning plan still under 28. Assessment in the second cycle of achievement of the implementation of learning between 80 to 84 while for planning learning between 28 to 34. Abstract

The role of teacher in improving the quality of society service is making the students able to learn quietly, peacefully and joyfully. Therefore, teachers should also get founding. One of founding for teachers is self-development as to determine the standard Minimum Passing Criteria known as KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal). It is because the teachers have not been capable enough to make KKM. Coaching is carried out including workshops. The level of success includes observing mental readiness, material, and teacher attendance. The results showed an increase in the ability of teachers to determine Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) through workshops in the UPTD of SDN Banda Soleh 1. This was evidenced by 4 out of 12 people who were mentally prepared in the first cycle or 33% experienced an increase in the cycle II reached 92% or 11 of 12 teachers. Furthermore, in the first cycle there were 5 out of 12 people not ready for material or 42%, but in cycle II the teachers could bring material up to 92% or 11 of 12 people according to the criteria. Whereas in terms of attendance, the teacher was still present all in the implementation of coaching in the UPTD of Banda Soleh 1 Elementary School in Kokop District.

Abstract

Education management, especially strategic management will have a positive impact in the process of developing better and more perfect educational institutions. There are three issues that are the main subject of this study, namely: First: How is the head of the madrasa in developing Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah  Nurul Mannan Madrasah Banjar Barat Village, Gapura District, Sumenep Regency? Second: How is the management of strategic education implemented in the Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah  Nurul Mannan Madrasah, Banjar Barat Village, Gapura District, Sumenep District? Third: What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of strategic education management in developing Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah  Nurul Mannan Madrasah Banjar Barat Village, Gapura District, Sumenep Regency? This study uses a qualitative approach in the form of descriptive data sources obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants were the Head of Madrasah, The Ustazz, and some of the students of the Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah  Nurul Mannan Madrasah Banjar Barat Village, Gapura District, Sumenep Regency. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis, in which to support and strengthen the findings of the data validity check through research persistence, and triangulation.

Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out the treasure of knowledge in Islamic boarding schools (Pesantren) about practices of the establishment of Santri’s soft skill through daily life trainings. Those training could be in the form of the activities of ibadah mahdoh, ibadah ghoiru mahdoh, and other learning activities. The approach of this study uses qualitative approach with phenomenological plans. The result of this study shows that (1) habituating strategy through the boarding school activities namely Santri are joining all activities by obeying the rule with strict supervision and giving punishmet to them who disobey it. Meanwhile, the soft skills appear among the santri are disciplinary, honesty, responsibility, self motivation, self confidence, communicating, and leadership. (2) The obstacles which frequently appear among them are “the minimum of Santri’s enthusiasm in forming the self skills so that their enthusiasm appears in joining the activities of establishing Santri’s soft skills and the supporting factor is the masyaikh’s pretension to make all santri have life skill.

Abstract

The existence of the community is one of the keys to the success and progress of the quality of educational institutions because when educational institutions are able to provide trust in the community they always support the activities of the institution. in accordance with the opinion of Mujammil Qamar in his book, that one of the keys to the progress of educational institutions is public trust, when they have trust in educational institutions, they will fully support, not only by sending their children to the education institution, but also recommending others to do so the same as him. Conversely, when the community does not believe, they do not not include their education institution's sons and daughters, but even influence their neighbors or employees, this means that the community is a strategic component that must be given full attention by education managers.

Abstract

The study describes the management of Islamic education supervision program in the ministry of religious affair at Pamekasan regency.  There are three problems to be focus of this study, they are (1) how is arrangement of Islamic education supervision program in the ministry of religious affair at Pamekasan regency.  (2) how is the implementation of Islamic education supervision program in the ministry of religious affair at Pamekasan regency? (3) how is evaluation of the implementation of Islamic education supervision program in the ministry of religious affair at Pamekasan regency? To investigate those problems, this study makes use of qualitative approach with descriptive analysis paradigm.  The techniques of collecting data are in the form of structured interview,participant observation and documentation analysis.  Meanwhile, checking the validity of data is conducted through extention of participation, meticulous observation, triangulation and peer checking.

Abstract

The Al-Quran is used as a guide for human in all aspects of life. In addition, the Koran also has conferred a status between men and women in the sense of normative and social status. However, the Koran also recognizes against superiority between men and women in certain contexts. If examined carefully, when women plunge into the public sphere, absolutely no hint in the Al-Quran that explains the opposition of a woman to become a leader including in becoming a leader of an educational institution. This study used a qualitative approach with a type of phenomenological research. Sources of data are obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The informants are principals, teachers and students. Meanwhile, checking the validity of data is conducted through extention of participation, triangulation and negative case analysis method.

Abstract

Curriculum becomes one of the most important components in education. It is able to determine how the process of education will be conducted. In this case, curriculum will contribute big impact toward the students’ knowledge, attitude and character. In this research, there are four focuses to be investigated, they are: first, what are the steps of the school principal in implementing the curriculum 2013 as to develop the students’ character at MA Al-Falah Branta Tinggi Tlanakan Pamekasan? Second, what are the teacher’s steps in the learning process to develop the students’ character at MA Al-Falah Branta Tinggi Tlanakan Pamekasan? Third, what are the supporting factors in implementing the curriculum 2013 as to develop the students’ character at MA Al-Falah Branta Tinggi Tlanakan Pamekasan? Fourth, what are the inhibiting factors in implementing the curriculum 2013 as to develop the students’ character at MA Al-Falah Branta Tinggi Tlanakan Pamekasan?
