Abstract

The problem of mathematic learning at SMPN 2 Pacet are low of student’s learning outcome. The alternative learning model to enhance students is cooperative learning model of jigsaw type. This research measured the enhacement of students’ learning outcome. This research used classroom action research based on Hopkins model. The research has been conducted in two cycles, every cycle consist of planning step, action step, observing step, and reflection step.The population are students of class 8 F SMPN 2 Pacet. The instrument of data collection are observation sheets, post test (Essay questions), questioners and journal. The quantitative data came from posttest, however the qualitative data came from observation sheets, questioners and journals. The data analysis technic are used flow method including data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. Based on analysis, analysis result showed that students outcome have enhanced/improved after the learning with cooperative learning model of jigsaw type.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low value of daily test of students on the subject of Equation of Straight Line which is more than for half does not reach the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) of the set standard is 70.00. The low learning outcomes of students indicate that the learning process has not run optimally. Therefore, in need of learning alternatives that support students to think creatively, to improve the KKM, one of them using Search model, solve, create, and share (SSCS). This study aims to determine the improvement of students' creative thinking ability by using SSCS learning model on straight-line equation. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). Carried out in three cycles. Cycle 1 consists of two meetings, cycle 2 and cycle 3 each consisting of one meeting. Instruments used to collect data consist of creative thinking ability test, instructional learning observation sheet with SSCS model, and student response questionnaire to learning with SSCS model. The results obtained from this research are 1) students' creative thinking ability increases after learning by using SSCS learning model; 2). Student learning completeness on the subject The equation of Straight line increases after learning with SSCS learning model; 3) students respond positively to mathematics learning using SSCS method

Abstract

Background of the research is about the low activity and mathematical creative thinking abilitis for junior high school student in mathematics learning. More students still dominate with their teacher, it made less a visible activity in learning and the student think’s not creative when they solve the problem that their teacher’s given. One of the learning alternative that can be applied for increase their activity are using priority pyramid technique. The purpose of this research is to know the student responses of mathematics, priority pyramid technique, from the achievement and a lot of exercises of match. The method of this research is using Classroom Action Research that which refers to combined step of Sanford and Kemmis. This research was conducted in three cycles. Each of three cycles is about planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research is seventh grade of PGRI 330 Cikancung junior high school with total number of student 27. The research instrument that had been used is observation sheet, formative test, questionnaire and journal. The analyze data technique has been done using circular flow method, such as reduction of data, presentation data and verification. According to analyze is that shows the activity and ability to increase mathematical creative thinking in each cycles after using learning with priority pyramid technique. Besides that, the student’s responses are positive with mathematical learning, priority pyramid technique, from the achievement and a lot exercises of match.

Abstract

Mathematics has a very important role in the development of modern era so that it needs alternative learning that can be digested well and useful even relevant for learners, especially in terms of representing. One of the alternatives in learning model that can be applied is the learning model of Designed Student-Centered Instructional, the model has an advantage where one phase of learning process using inquiry approach Hands On-Activity that learners do touching on the props so that learners can see and hold objects directly and represent it. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of learning model of Student-Centered Instructional modeled to the ability of student representation and know the students' response to the learning of mathematics by using model of Designed Student-Centered Instructional. The method used in this research was quasi experimental method. The study was conducted in class VIII A as experimental class and VIII B as control class at SMPN 02 Megamendung. The instruments used were test representations, questionnaires and observation sheets. In this research, quantitative data is analyzed by finding mean, standard deviation, normality test, homogeneity test and difference of two mean of learners and qualitative data was analyzed by using likert's attitude scale. Based on quantitative and qualitative data analysis, the concepts of representational ability have a high effect on the learning model of Designed Student-Centered Instructional and have a positive response to learning model of Designed Student-Centered Instructional.

Abstract

The background of this research was the low of students’ interest and mathematical communication ability. One of learning alternatif that can be applied to increase students’ interest and mathematical communication ability was the Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategy. The aims of this study to increase students’ interest and mathematical communication ability through Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategies, and students' responses to mathematics learning by using Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategies. The approach used in this research were qualitative and quantitative approach. While the method used in this research was Class Action Research method which refers to the steps of Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. A cycle consists of planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research was all of the student in VII-B class MTs at Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency. The data collection instruments consist of formative tests, observation sheets, questionnaires, and journals. Data analysis technique used Triangulation. Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, showed students’ interest and mathematical communication ability has increase after using the Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategy, and students’ response to mathematics learning by using Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategy is positive.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of learning activities and students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The purpose of this research is to know the increase of activity and problem solving ability of student mathematical with use of 7E learning model (Elicit, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate, Extend). To be more focused this study examines: (1) Student activity using 7E learning model; (2) students' mathematical problem solving skills by using 7E learning model in each cycle (three cycle); (3) Student response to mathematics learning using 7E learning model. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approach, with classroom action research method. The study was conducted in class IX SMP Muslimin 5 Bandung with 34 students on learning material Curved-face three-dimensional objects (cylinder and cone). Instruments used were formative tests, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of processing and data analysis the researcher obtained three conclusions. (1) Student activity increase with use of 7E learning model in each cycle, (2) Student mathematical problem solving ability increase with use of 7E learning model in each cycle, (3) Student show positive response to 7E learning model.

Abstract

The research aim was improve students’ mathematical disposition and critical thinking ability on mathematical learning by using jurisprudential inquiry strategy. The research approach used in this study were qualitative and quantitative approach while the method used was Classroom Action Reseacrh, which conducted three cycles with research design including planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. The subject of research was the students of XI MO 4 class, one of vocational high school in sub district Majalaya, Bandung regency. The research instruments were observation sheets, formative tests, questionnaires, and journals. The test was analyzed by counting students’ absorption rate and classical absorption rate. While the questionnaire and observation using percentage. The result of this research shows that the mathematical learning by using Jurisprudential Inquiry Strategy was done well. Students’ mathematical dispositions and critical abilities increased after mathematical learning by using inquiry strategies, as well as positive students’ responses to mathematical learning by using Jurisprudential Inquiry Strategy.

Abstract

Generatif learning model was expected to be an alternative to increase student’s mathematical communication ability. The purpose of the research to determine the improvement of student’s mathematical communication ability after using Generatif learning model, the influence of generative learning models on improving mathematical communication skills, and the response to student’s the generative learning model. This research method used quasi-experiment with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research’s subject was VIII-C as experimental class and VIII-G as a control class which chosen as purposive sampling. The research instruments were tests, observation sheets and questionnaires. The research conclude that student’s mathematical communication abiliy class research have increased significantly compared to the control class. It finds based on the average score N-gain on every mathematical communication indicators. The influence of Generative learning model toward the increasing students’ mathematical communication ability at experimental class is high interpretation. It indicates that Generative learning model has positive influence to student’s mathematical communication ability. In addition, students’ responnse to Generative learning model are positive.
