The research subjects consisted of 12 students of class XI who had pretest scores of academic burnouts in the high category. The research method used is classroom action research with two cycles. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistical techniques. The preliminary study results showed that students have an average academic burnout score of 49.17, classified as the high category. In the first cycle, the average student’s academic burnout score is reduced by 7.83 points to 41.33 compared to the preliminary result. In the second cycle, the average academic burnout score decreased by 1.83 points to 39.5 compared to the former cycle's average score. This shows that Islamic reality therapy has been shown to reduce students’ academic burnout.

Abstract

Childhood sexual abuse can result in long-term effects that remain in the survivors to confront and encounter continually. This study aimed to examine behavioral indicators that indicate trauma, which is one of the long-term effects of child sexual violence against children. The study used a literature study technique. There were three behavioral indications developed as long-term consequences of trauma endured by survivors of child sexual abuse. The first indicator was cognitive distortions characterized by self-blame, self-criticism, and a sense of worthlessness. Then, concerns regarding emotional regulation, which present persistent feelings of anxiety or sadness, can appear as the second implication. The last behavioral indication was difficulties regarding the ability to resist impulsive urges, evidently via the engagement in substance misuse and the development of deviant sexual conduct.

Abstract

The practice of congregational morning prayer holds significant importance in both the context of worship and globally, as it promotes positive impacts. From a psychospiritual perspective, congregational prayer can be therapeutical in the modern era. Anxiety is a human adaptation response to any imminent or uncertain event that can occur in daily life situations. During the preparation for the thesis, most university students experienced several symptoms of anxiety (physical, cognitive, emotional, and affective symptoms). These symptoms can affect the students' cognitive ability, intelligence, family demands on campus, and social interactions. This study aimed to describe efforts to overcome academic anxiety among university students through psychospiritual and psychoneuroimmunological points of view. The study used a library research approach by gathering credible sources from books, scientific articles, documents, and previous research. The findings of this study showed that congregational prayers can be an effort to relieve academic anxiety among students.
