Abstract

Abstract

This article aims to elaborate the paradigm of regional development planning in the perspective of Islamic economics. The need for new perspectives in formulating development planning is quite significant considering the weaknesses and failures of the conventional paradigm which has been the background. The worldview proposed through this paper integrates Islamic values (al-Quran and al-Sunnah) as meta-framework and archetypal models; development goals as contained in the 1945 Constitution and other regulations; local wisdom in each region.

Abstract

Religion is based on the perspective of attitudes and attention to the doctrines that apply in everyday life. On its journey, diversity is often a symbol and goal of achieving certain interests. However, sometimes he often raises conflicts within the structure of society. Power and religion sometimes cannot be united, which results in friction between the authorities and their people. In this regard, the existence of this study wants to highlight the dynamics of intellectual diversity in public space. They want to fight for religious rights that have been ruled out by the government. So that with the metamorphosed Tarbiyah movement being campus preaching, they have directed a non-confrontational movement that fights Islam in the public space by taking mosque settings as the foundation of religious idealism in the modern era. The rise of campus preaching in various universities throughout Indonesia originated from the concerns of Islamic activists on the impartiality of the authorities in a system based on religious guidance. Especially in the era of the 70s when the New Order replaced the Old Order, many actions were contrary to Islamic norms. The further development of the preaching of this campus is growing rapidly, as a result there is a new Islamic model conducted by students who try to instill an ethical system to the community. This study uses a qualitative method that combines literature sources with a phenomenological approach that refers to field data. Therefore the final result of this study presents the religious aspirations of young intellectuals in their relations with the political interests of the ruler who display modern piety attitudes that process into contemporary Islamic models in the public sphere.

Abstract

Religious authority and the viable role played by female ulama in a limited Islamic public sphere have always been a matter of concern. Unlike previous studies focused much on gender sensitive, this research will analyze crucial position of Islamic public sphere in which female santri of Ma’had ‘Ali As’adiyah South Sulawesi can build and transform their authority. The research argues the decrease level of female authority is due to their lack of involvement in limited Islamic public sphere within and outside pesantren. Drawing on female santris’ daily activities, particular attention will be given to how female As’adiyah achieve, harness, build and transform religious authority through mosque and classroom environment. This reveals that authority of female ulama has not exclusively to do with the mastering of classical Islamic knowledge, but also with the maximizing the use of a limited ‘religious’ public sphere which is represented in halaqah of mosque, preaching stage, and the production of hybrid knowledge within classroom environment.

Abstract

In the Islamic point of view, there is no prohibition for women to play a role in the publik scene. Even since the time of Rasulullah SAW, the role of women in the publik scene has occurred. Women at the time of the Prophet were present in the study attended by men, actively participating in spreading the religion of Islam, even women also participated in wars, treated and took care of sick, injured soldiers and provide for their eating and drinking needs. This shows the association of men and women in publik spaces is allowed. However, this does not mean eliminating barriers between men and women, and forgetting the restrictions of sharia prevailing in meetings that men and women participate in. Therefore, it is necessary to know the ethics for women when in the publik scenes, according to the guidance of the Qur'an and Sunnah. This research uses library research method by reviewing the verses and hadis that discuss the issue of women ethics while in publik scenes.
