Abstract

In recent months, there has been a remarkable surge in artificial intelligence (AI) development, with ChatGPT emerging as a notable application. ChatGPT, an OpenAI chatbot, achieved an impressive milestone of 100 million monthly active users within two months of its launch in January, making it the fastest-growing consumer application to date. Experts predict that AI will significantly impact 50 percent of businesses in the next five years. ChatGPT has already showcased its versatility in the medical field, aiding in tasks like medical exam preparation and serving as an in-office scribe. As its potential in healthcare continues to expand, ChatGPT holds promising prospects for the future. Additionally, research on AI and religion is gaining traction, exploring topics such as ethical implications, integration into religious practices, analysis of religious texts, interfaith dialogue facilitation, and the theological impact of AI on creation. The increasing number of scholarly publications on the subject indicates a growing interest in exploring the complex relationship between artificial intelligence and religion.

Abstract

Researchers in the field of religious studies have been actively exploring the moral implications of the pandemic from various angles. They have investigated healthcare ethics, addressing issues such as the allocation of limited resources, vaccination prioritization, and the ethical responsibilities of healthcare workers. These scholars have drawn on religious ideas and values to inform ethical decision-making, emphasizing justice, equity, compassion, and solidarity. Moreover, they have examined the pandemic's impact on social justice, including access to healthcare, economic disparities, and racial and ethnic inequalities in COVID-19 outcomes. Additionally, scholars have examined the moral responsibilities of individuals and communities, exploring the ethics of behaviors like social distancing and mask-wearing, as well as the obligations of religious leaders and institutions. Through their research, religious studies scholars provide insights and frameworks for navigating the ethical challenges presented by the pandemic.

Abstract

As society considers it, it is scattered with distinct differences. If we highlight this issue, this gap is due to economic instability. Religion never differs between the rich and the poor, but the people who follow the religion will do, so as the fundamental thoughts, religion itself guides on the matter of removing the imbalance in religion in particular and society at large, for which we can find the taxing system in India. At the same time, Islam also proposes the idea of zakat to remove the gap between those who have and those who do not. To examine the idea of which the study was conducted by considering the Karnataka Zakat Trust of Mangaluru City of Karnataka state, as it is a donation that people are making out of their wealth. The information was gathered using a structured interview method, and for the remaining randomly selected 75 samples mail questionnaire was distributed, out of which 62 respondents responded to the study, so the total respondents of the study were 87 beneficiaries of Mangaluru City. This study shows that in the potential and globally recognized Mangaluru City, zakat is working effectively through Karnataka Zakat and Charitable Trust. Here, it is also proposed to claim the rebate for the relief of Islamic followers to make a difference in the country’s policy.

Abstract

Vipassana meditation, discovered by Buddha approximately 2500 years ago, is one of the oldest meditation techniques in India. This meditation technique is a non-denominational scientific technique of self-transformation through self-observation in society. This leads human society to a progressive and better insight and a positive health 1appearance. Vipassana meditation is a moral and social path that sees and develops humans from within nature through the outline of their mind and body. Hence, the main objective of this study is to examine the effect of Vipassana meditation on mental health as well as to determine how its practice leads to the social development of society. Consequently, how is it beneficial to society and how does this meditation technique affect mental and physical health in society? Hence it can be said that through the practice of this meditation technique, a powerful and peaceful message can be delivered to the human mind. This paper shows that Vipassana meditation provides a variety of physical and mental benefits that greatly improve human well-being. These benefits include decreased stress, improved immune system function, decreased blood pressure and heart rate, increased sleep quality, and decreased chronic pain. Thus, the practice of Vipassana meditation has the potential to bring about profound transformative changes in human life.

Abstract

This article analyses the protection of intellectual property rights from the perspective of Islamic law. This article examines intellectual property rights by analyzing the concepts of wealth, rights, and ownership in Islamic law. This study employs a normative research method. The approach utilized in this research includes statutory and conceptual approaches. The data used in this study encompassed secondary data derived from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The research findings reveal that most scholars categorize intellectual property rights as a form of wealth, thereby subjecting it to similar treatment and legal consequences as other forms of wealth. Intellectual property rights constitute movable wealth, are permissible for utilization, lack a standardized market unit, and maintain their value even when exploited. Consequently, intellectual property can be transacted for profit and safeguarded by assessing its value when compensating for any loss. When acquired or discovered through means that adhere to Islamic law, intellectual property becomes a permissible right to possess. However, the ownership of these intellectual property rights under Islamic law remains constrained by Sharia principles.
