IMF Contract exit constitutes the best choice particularly in escaping the dependence of Indonesia from foreign intervention regarding economy policies. Thefund andnatural resources of Indonesia could be expected to pay Indonesia loan from IMF nowadays. In this sense, emotional attitude and narrow nationalism are not enough to avoid the negative Influence of IMF exit strategy. So, an anticipative step and radical policy should beconducted by Indonesian government tostopcorruption, collusion, and nepo tism practices strictly and consequently. Besides, ending IMF contract in Indonesia could be used for both modern sector and traditional sector. Traditional sector, it is clear that marginalized. The traditional sector indicates survival sector and cancreate a vocation.

Abstract

If we look back to the era of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the Era of Companions, we can find other prespective to see political system which we can compare to the democratic system. In the Islamic context (imamah) there's no specific model to follow, but Islam give more chance and open more space to moslems how to choose their leader. But, the most important point is that Muslim must consider the concept of shura, whereas shura/musyawarah is been recognized as a core value of democracy.

Abstract

Generally, democracy is measured based on the level of people's participation to vote in general election. The higher perticipation, the higher level of democracy. This is, actually, not completely true. In the New Order Era, the participation to vote is extremely high, but, as has been proven by many research, this is far from democratic, because their participation was mostly done due to the despotical pressure. So, the democracy will only happen if such high participation made by awarness and freedom, in democratic political atmosphere with full enforcement of legal norms. In the next general election, it seems that democratic instrument will be made, and therefore, people free to choose and change their political afiliation.
