Products which have a good brand awareness will get long-term strategic advantages and one way of creating brand awareness is by promotion activities. This research tries to find out the efficiencies of promotion activities by comparing the number of sales with the promotional expenses. Beside that, a survey assigned to customers to collect informations about the most known promotion media in order to get informations about the most effective promotion media. To assure good qualities of the product promoted, the same survey also run to collect informations about differences between customer’s importances and performances level toward product qualities. In addition, customer price sensitivities also asked to get information about potential loss sales to projected revenue if price rising is stated. This research results that 2nd semester (July-December 2007) is the most efficient, and the most effective promotion media are televisions, magazines, promotion events, and newspapers. This research also notes that friends or families are the prime information source for customers to know about ISP X. In order to improve the recent qualities, here are given some qualities atributes that urgently need according to customers to be fixed. In other side, it also noted that customers are somewhat price-sensitive. However, better offer from competitor still looks more risky than price rising issue itself, though with better qualities present.

In the world of defect industry represent problems which need to be paid attention by defect which company later will have an effect on to many at least got profit company.. This company face problems how to decrease percentage of handicap at one of their product, that is NYAF kabek which relative still big that is equal to 4.13% from totalizing result of production. Existences of high request to this product oblige company to apply system repair of quality. This action is done at defect that happened at cable production process of NYAF. Pursuant to result of research, have been got degradation of amount of defect cable production process of NYAF counted 0.91% from 4.13% (with amount of defect 11.200 totally output counted 271.015) becoming 3.22% (amount of defect 3.840 totally output counted 119.156). With existence of the result, please prove that FMEAP can become appliance to company to do repair chronically.

PG Kebon Agung is a goods company which product is sugar. In case of regulating queue of truck loaded with sugar tree, this company is suggested to do it properly. This time it still take for very long time for the truck loaded with sugar tree to be processed later. Long time queue can cause decreasing sugar product quality. PG Kebon Agung hasn’t been able to overcome this problem, so it’s necessary a method to decrease direct and indirect cost for public service supplying due to large number of truck waiting to served. If supplying service facility is not optimally, it’ll cause delayed service, therefore applying queue simulation model is right management system to reduce the queue. By using Arena Software 3.0, the most optimal service chose by PGKA is by using 3 loket penimbangans, because by using 3 loket penimbangans the number of truck in the system, from waiting to finishing process is 5.8333 trucks a minutes. By using more than 3 loket penimbangans it will decrease more queue but the loket penimbangan s have more standby and cost a lot of money.

This Research was conducted in PT X Tbk, Pandaan as a mean to look for combination amount of optimal product. PT X Tbk in the field of plastic production, goods the produced bottle by is assorted of size measure and colour. As for bottle the taken Image of Chamomile and of Nivea, while colour of Image bottle of Chamomile is green and its size measure is 120 ml and 250 ml. For the bottle of white Nivea chromatic and its size measure is 100 ml and 200 ml. From various produced bottle type cause incidence of a problem of that is problem of determination of less precise production volume. This matter is known from often happened product insuffiency or excess causing the loss of opportunity of request so that obtained advantage less optimal. In research to determine optimal product combination with Linear Programming method through two phase, that is first request of forecasting by using method of time series constructively Minitab software among others Moving Average, Single Exponential Smoothing, Double Exponential Smoothing, Winter’S and of Trend Linear, and second stage to conduct calculation of Linear Programming model constructively QS. From result of calculation by using QS hence got optimal solution of product combination between Image bottle of Chamomile 120 ml Green, Image of Chamomile 250 ml Green, Nivea 100 ml Slimdes RW White, and Nivea 200 ml Slimdes RW White which must produce. As for obtained advantage from after applying of Linear Programming method representing result of calculation during 12 period is equal to Rp421,918,752, while obtained advantage before conducted by Linear Programming is Rp410,250,750, so that happened the make-up of advantage equal to 2.84% that is Rp11,668,002.

PT. Prima Box Adiperkasa Pandaan is a manufacturing company which producing cartoon box which the production processing is mostly use an automatic machine. The Flexo PS 429 is a machine which playing an important role in cutting and printing procession which often being damage, as a consequence it need to be supported with the program and activity of a regular treatment of the machines production. The problem that is faced was how to determine the optimal time interval of to replace the component so the productions can be process according to the target which has been specified. The objective of the research is to determine the time interval to replace the slotter component (back knife transmission gear and fine adjusting block) as an effort to prevent the damage the replacement cost which optimal with the reliability level above 70% (> = 0.7). The model which used to determine the time interval replacement component in this research is use an age replacement model with the minimum cost criteria. In this method of component replacement according to the international which have been done before the damage happen. From the obtained result of data analysis that the optimal international replacement of the back knife transmission gear component is 18 days with the prevention cost replacement is equal to Rp29,870 and the reliability is 0.832 (83.2%). Where as for fine adjusting block component in 12 days interval with the prevention cost replacement is equal to 16.970 and reliability is 0.925 (92.5). So at 12 month by conducting a cost saving prevention replacement of the back knife transmission gear company is 7,06% or equal to Rp681,001.44. For fine adjusting block component, by conducting a cost – saving is 49.66% or equal Rp5.002.866,7.

The object of this UD PATRIOT which located in Mojokerto.This company produce various shoes type which in its operation have constrain in determining best ordering method to each every ordered by raw material item as well as standart material control system which good to menimalize production cost. Planning material control by using this MRP II system was proposed to be applied by at company utilize to yield correct action that is determining maount, time, scheduling repeat, and ordering execution requirement of raw material. With applying MRP II can cost effective equal to Rp4,372,413.88 or 35.91% from expense of before using MRP II.

The decision making at the time being will result several effects to the present condition. Therefore, before making a decision in investment, it is important to have an accurate analysis. This will minimize the possibility of failure. At the present condition, the management of CV. PELANGI FARM is having some problems in developing widening investment, that is in the laying pullet management sector because the company possesses adequate experience in this sector. The indicator used in the management of laying pullet farm is by using Nett Present Value (NPV) method, that is the acceptance of management counted from the 0 year and Payback Period Method (PPM) which is a parameter of investment payback. From the analysis, here researcher is able to suggest that with field of 4 ha the farm should have 18.000 poultry (chickens). The result of calculation using Net Present Value and payback Period Method whether by individual investment or loan in 5 years is: NPV with individual investment is Rp975,212,452; NPV with loan investment is Rp187,591,244.58; PPM with individual investment for 2 years, 2 months, 24 days; and PPM with loan investment for 4 years, 5 months, 20 days. From the result of analysis, it can be seen that in management of laying pullet farm with 18,000 chickens for 5 years whether by individual or loan investment, both of them are properly done.

Pulp breaking on cocoa processing could be conducted with depolymerization of cocoa pulp by enzyme polygalacturonase (PG) endogenous. This research was aimed to determination the optimum condition of depolymerization of cocoa pulp by enzyme polygalacturonase endogenous during incubation. This research was carried out by incubating cocoa pulp for 6 days on various of optimum condition of PG endogenous treatments, that is: temperature were 32.5o C, 37.5o C, 42.5o C, 47.5o C, 52.5o C and initial pH of pulp were 4.1; 4.6; 5.1, respectively. Optimum condition of depolymerization of cocoa pulp was determination by effectiveness test. Effectiveness test result, based on the highest effectiveness index, showed that the optimum condition of depolymerization of cocoa pulp was 47.5o C incubation temperature and 4,6 initial pH of pulp. Those treatment produced 18.29% of pulp liquid wieght total during 5 days incubation with average per day for pectin content, galacturonic acid content, acid total content, and the change of pH were 1.12%, 8.36%, 0.209 meq NaOH/g and 0,19 in cocoa pulp extract was incubated for 6 days, respectively.

Hotel UMM Inn is a kind of hotel in Malang at Muhammadiyah Malang University. Hotel UMM Inn in university Commitment of service quality that orients to customer in main prerequisite in supporting a bussines success, especially to service industry. This is caused a service quality is largely depending from who how the service is given. In A Quarter of hotel bussines in malang and the coming of Motel, Wisma and Villa. In this research, method which used in measurement of service quality is method of Servqual. Assessment of quality of service by using method of Servqual reckoned from by difference between expectation and perception of service. Data-Processing taken is calculation of expectation score and perception of custumer, calculation of service gap score, determination of service quality factor and map service variable into Customer Window. Result of this research indicate that score of is quality of hotel service there are 7 valuable service variable of negativity like Hygiene of hotel UMM Inn, availibility of clean water in toilet, accident insurance guarantee and the others. Result of from Customer Window indicate that service variable which must be made by especial priority (Here Concentrate) which must fulfill by hotel management of UMM Inn that is clean of Hygiene of hotel UMM Inn, availibility of clean water in toilet, and departure and the others.

 The main purpose in queue case was achieving equilibrium between service fees and the fees caused by the available waiting times. This case also happened on the queue system at Purabaya Terminal, Surabaya. In the one hand, the exceed service capacity preparation will cause the queue time. On the other hand, the less service capacity preparation will cause the bigger losses must be guaranteed by bus businessman because of not carrying a number of passengers. Cases at Purabaya Terminal were really general queue cases that can be solved by using the available queue theory. But which methodologically there were problems from the queue theory that has been available, in the queue theory that has been available frequently is less able to give real situation image from the observed system. This case was indicated by the happening several assumptions about the available probability distribution of certain system state in which this case will limit the real condition from the observed system. Because the conventional approach has weaknesses, this research used entropy approach. The entropy approach enables to handle the queue system by arrival rates which spread generally. Then, by entropy approach, it can be determined the optimal capacity service for the fast and limited bus armadas as follows: West Line I = 17 minutes 17 seconds, West Line II = 14 minutes 43 seconds, South Line = 13 minutes 21 seconds, East Line = 12 minutes 37 seconds, Madura Line = 2 hours 19 minutes, and Semarang Line = 1 hours 47 minutes.
