JRFES scopes are the result of research on physics research and physics education. JRFES is focused on publishing original research results that have not been published anywhere. Issues published by JRFES cover the areas of education namely planning, implementation, and evaluation of Education and the field of physics. This journal publishes original articles on the latest issues and trends occurring internationally in science curriculum, instruction, learning, policy, and preparation of science teachers with the aim to advance our knowledge of science education theory and practice. Moreover, this journal also covers the issues concerned with environmental education & environmental science. Abstract

At this time many learning models are used, where students learn, work, and interact in small groups. Based on the results of observations at SMAN 9 Padang class XI MIPA, students need a development of teaching materials that can help students to solve problems in learning. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials in the form of student worksheet based on problem based learning that are valid & practical for class XI MIPA SMAN 9 Padang.This type of research is included in development research or Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D model. The 4-D model consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. At the disseminate stage, it is not carried out due to time and cost limitations. In this study, the research instruments used were validity and practicality sheets. The results showed that the PBL-based LKPD developed was categorized as valid with a percentage of 85.93%. Then the PBL-based LKPD developed was categorized as very practical with a percentage of 85.32%.

Abstract

Bahan ajar adalah segala bentuk bahan atau materi yang disusun secara sistematis yang terdiri dari kompetensi dasar dan tujuan pembelajaran yang akan dikuasai oleh peserta didik, serta membantu pendidik dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat membantu peserta didik dalam meningkatkan minat belajar serta kemampuan berpikir dalam memecahkan masalah adalah model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Oleh karena itu peneliti bermaksud ingin mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa handout berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang valid dan praktis. Model penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan penelitian R&D model 4-D. Instrumen yang digunakan angket dengan skala Likert dan dianalisis dengan teknis persentase. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa handout berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi dinamika rotasi benda tegar ini tergolong sangat valid dengan nilai 90,22 %. Selanjutnya handout berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi dinamika rotasi benda tegar ini tergolong praktis dengan nilai 71,93 %.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the unfulfilled learning satisfaction of ITP Informatics Department students. This type of research is correlational research. The purpose of this study is to find out anything that contributes to learning motivation towards student satisfaction. The study population was 146 people and a sample of 59 students of the ITP Informatics Department. The sampling technique was carried out by using the Non Probability Sampling Design technique, namely the incidental sampling technique. Sampling is taking the sample by chance, that is, by chance, by chance meeting with the researcher can be used as a sample if it happens that the person who happens to be found is suitable as the data source. Meanwhile, the data on learning motivation and learning satisfaction were collected through a questionnaire sent to students using a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that learning motivation contributed significantly to the learning satisfaction of ITP Informatics Study Program students. amounted to 17.47. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan muatan listrik pada buah dan sayur. Kemudian untuk mengetahui kandungan yang menyebabkan muatan listrik pada buah dan sayur. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kentang, tomat, jeruk, dan apel. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan pengukuran tegangan listrik secara menual dengan mengggunakan voltmeter. Hasil pengamatan dan pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa kadar muatan listrik pada keempat sampel memiliki tegangan listrik yaitu kentang 1 v, apel 0,9 v, jeruk 1 v, dan tomat 0,7 v. Penyebab muatan listrik pada sayur dan buah yaitu adanya kandungan komponen penghasil listrik yaitu zat asam buah, karbohidrat, lemak, vitamin B, vitamin C, pati, dan NaCl

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of a composite board made of hemp fiber and banana stem fiber with Poly Vinyl Acetate (PVAc). Making the composite board begins with the preparation, drying, weighing the raw materials according to the weight ratio, mixing, pressing and cutting the finished composite board according to the size required in the test standard. Composite board characteristic testing includes: moisture content, thickness swelling, density, flexural strength and tensile strength of the composite papn. The test results on the composite showed that the more the value of the banana stem fiber used as a combination for the hemp fiber, the more the feasibility value of the composite board did not meet SNI standards. However, for the bending test, all categories of fiber combinations were not feasible because the sample specimens were not stiff due to PVAc which only functions as an adhesive (not a reinforcement).

Abstract

The steps of physics problems solving consist of making a useful description, determining physics approach, applying specific application of physics, performing mathematical procedures, and evaluating logical progression of the problem solving process. Physics is closely related to everyday problems, including rotational dynamics problems. Bachelor of physics education must have conceptual understanding to create learnings that improve students' problem solving skills. Therefore, this study aimed to measure the problem-solving skills of bachelors of physics education involving 10 bachelors of physics education who were working as science teachers. This study was a descriptive study with data collection using essay question. The results showed that there were difficulties in solving problems consisted of difficulties in drawing vectors and operating them and difficulties in understanding the rotational dynamics concepts. These results indicated the importance of learning and improving conceptual understanding as the main asset in teaching the material for bachelors of physics education.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by students' interest in learning towards on physics subject are still low and the lack of understanding of physics learning concept from the students, it causes the students do not understand about matery that has given by educators and their physics learning outomes in grade X MIA senior high shcool 3 Payakumbuh is still low. Therefore, the research conducted a research of using PBL models and video scribe media to apply in these problem. Type of this research is quasi experiment with posttest only control design. The population of this research is at X grade senior high school 3 Payakumbuh, consists of 5 class. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling, taken at X grade MIA 3 experiment and X grade MIA 5 as control class. Instruments of this research are final test used is essay with reliability of the test is r11 = 0.636. Based on the calculation results obtained th = 1.6850 with ttabel = 1.675, kareta th> ttabel, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the activity analyze it know that the experimental room activities is better than the physich learning outcomes of student using problem based learning (PBL) models by ussing video scribe is better than physics learning outcomes of students by using scientific learning models by using scientific learning models at X grade senior gigh school Payakumbuh.
