Abstract

Academic Freedom can e regarded as the core spirit of unversity. It leads all human being which involved in this instutition to act based on the freedom of speech, the freedom of dialogue and the freedom of criticism. The right to publish many research findigs is another aspects of this concept. All students and lecturers are freely to do it without irrational interventaion or other kinds or threat. Five ages BC, Socrates proclaimed the spirit of academic freedom. His struggle againts government and sophist corruption led him to be a martyr. He was, however, remembered as the noted philosopher which his thought influenced modern philosphy. In the case of human relation to God, his philosophy insipired the dignity of human being. In the case of human relation of God, his philosopy inspired the dignity of human being. It is now called religious humanism. The nature of academic freedom refered to the truth of his philosophy.

Abstract

Every Religion has a system of theology. It discusses many concepts of religious thought that include the existence of God. The discussion of the existence God, however, must be related to is creations. All creatures in this universe will return to Him. The nature of theology changes in accordance with the changes of the world. When the developing countries started to develop their land and people, the main topic of theology often related to the ideas of development. Recently, the theology of development was replaced by the theology of peace.

Abstract

Poem is one of ways that poets express their deep emotions. Poets or poetesses thorugh poem are able to critisize the bad moral of a certain society. A poem, moreover, can improve young generation's behaviour. In Indonesia, the total of poetesses ae fewer than poets. The literature world, however, usually emphasizes the quality of master piece and ignore the amount of writers.

Abstract

It is quite evident that most of us are indifferent to literature. To illustrate, let me just quote some people?s comments on the works. ?I do not understand what the importance of literature to our life is. For me, personally, literature does not have any influence on my life,? said a pharmacist. An electrical engineer once sad, ?Reading literary novels? Just wasting time. Such bookd sre just the works daydreamers.? And this is the worst: ?Literature? What kind of animal is it? In our course we have never been taught the definition of that; however I might be able to say that literary works contain complicated ides poured from writer?s mind,? said a student of English Departement of an outstanding university. And I believe it is not too difficult to have many other similar comments.

Abstract

Politics is an effort of society to obtain the authority and maintain it as log as possible. People through politics are able to govern the society of a country in rder to achieve nation's goals such as, welfare, prosperity and social justice. In the process of attaining the authority sometimes needs physical conflict between the members of political party, further more it may cause destruction. Many people say that politic is cruel, however, it is cruel or not, the politic of a country is influeced by people's culture themselves.

Abstract

God createdmen to be the leaders of the universe. He gave them a special equipment that was nor owned by other creatures. Everyman has a intellectual and brain which they can distinguish themselves from animals. They will lead the world when they can maximisate their intellectual capacty. It is, however, must be based on moral consideration. The life long education will be meaningless without existing morality as the fundamental aspect of their life.

Abstract

Learning literature will remind us on the process of Indonesia's physical revolution. Reading through Chairil Anwar's poem entitled "Diponegoro", for instance, could make Indonesian's spirit of struggle rise to get away colonialism that intended to maintain Indonesia as colonialized country. The master piece of literature, it is admitted or not, has contributed Indonesia people to combat againts the colonialisation and has made them independent. Literature as a great "mirror" of a certain nation may reflect the culture of nation itself. Now we live i the industrial age which all aspects must be considered by logical power objectively. Although we live in it, however, we still need other master piece of literature in order to increase our humanity.
