Abstract

To enhance educational quality and strengthen public trust in SMK PGRI 6 Denpasar, curriculum reviews are conducted as a key strategy. These reviews aim to identify curricular weaknesses and design appropriate improvements, thereby ensuring a responsive and contextual curriculum that supports better student learning outcomes. The process is carried out in a participatory and data-driven manner to guarantee its relevance and effectiveness. The research method employed in this study is descriptive qualitative research. The primary data were obtained from informants selected through purposive sampling. The collected data were then analyzed to generate meaningful findings that address the research problems. The findings of this study indicate that the curriculum of SMK PGRI 6 Denpasar was reviewed based on reflective achievements and the quality report in 2024. The review was carried out by examining its main components, namely intra-curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. Once the planning stage was completed and the curriculum review had been fully implemented, SMK PGRI 6 Denpasar undertook an important subsequent step, namely conducting evaluation and follow-up actions. This stage was intended to ensure that the review process yielded valid and useful results, which could then be used as the basis for producing official documents aligned with the decisions and policies to be applied in achieving the school’s vision, mission, and objectives for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

The artistic journey in Bali has been ongoing for a long time. Various artistic activities taking place today are the result of a long journey of devotion by artists to art itself. One of the few art maestros now in his twilight years, with an extraordinary legacy, is I Ketut Muji. Based on initial research conducted by the author on maestro I Ketut Muji, there are many values and lessons that must be passed down to the artists in Bali. I Ketut Muji is a dance maestro with a strong character and style that, to this day, has not been inherited by anyone. The legacy of I Ketut Muji, as presented in this documentary film, is rich in educational and cultural literacy values, especially in preserving the traditional art of Balinese dance. The movements conveyed by the maestro in his dances embody educational philosophies that can serve as inspiration for pursuing education in its truest and most vibrant form. The primary goal of documenting the maestro's knowledge in film is to preserve and develop the values, ethics, and intellectual journey of I Ketut Muji for future generations, particularly for the artists in Bali. Featuring maestro I Ketut Muji in his twilight years in a documentary is of utmost importance. This film is produced to convey the knowledge, attitudes, and life perspectives of I Ketut Muji regarding dance and dancers to current and future Balinese dance practitioners. Therefore, "The Legacy of Maestro I Ketut Muji in a Documentary Portrait" is essential to be continued as a work beneficial to the broader community. The creation of this documentary film is supported by research employing a phenomenological approach to interpret phenomena and explore the knowledge of Maestro I Ketut Muji. The data collection methods used include observation and interviews. The design of the proposed creation is a portrait documentary film with an expository approach. The stages in producing this documentary film include three main points: pre-production, production, and post-production. The results of this research show that the documentary film "The Legacy of Maestro I Ketut Muji" provides insights related to character education and cultural literacy. Values such as honesty, independence, perseverance, love for culture, patriotism, resilience, and courage are exemplary traits of the maestro. The cultural literacy education in this documentary relates to the history of dance traditions, the rules or standards for performing Balinese dance, costumes, the religious functions of Balinese dance, and the principles of dedication to traditional arts.

Abstract

Books play a significant role in improving the quality of education in Indonesia, and even globally. Books are now starting to adapt to more contextual changes. In today's era, many readers, including parents and communities, have expressed concerns about the mismatch between language use and the age context or students' comprehension of the provided materials. It is crucial for educational organizers, publishers, authors, and the broader community to understand the context of book leveling for both textbooks and non-textbooks used in schools and education in Indonesia. Education and awareness regarding book leveling can help prevent students or learners from accessing unsuitable reading materials and prevent the circulation of books that violate educational provisions, thus ensuring optimal literacy quality. Book leveling is regulated under Regulation No. 30 of 2022 issued by the Head of the Agency for Education Standards, Curriculum, and Assessment (BSKAP). This regulation is also part of the implementation of Law No. 3 of 2017 on the National Book System. This regulation defines Leveled Books as books containing text/images and language that gradually increase in complexity from simple to more challenging as a reading challenge. The levels are as follows: Level A or Beginner Reader Level: Readers at this level are introduced to books for the first time and require scaffolding to assist them in reading. Level B or Early Reader Level: Readers require scaffolding and can read text in the form of words/phrases with a combination of letter sounds, clauses, and simple sentences. Level C or Intermediate Reader Level: Readers can fluently read texts in paragraph form within a discourse. Level D or Advanced Reader Level: Readers can comprehend various texts of moderate difficulty. Level E or Proficient Reader Level: Readers can critically and analytically read various reading sources to synthesize thoughts more effectively.   Keywords: Book Leveling, Literacy, Reading Skills
