Abstract

Climate change is a topic of discussion in various parts of the world. Several coastal cities in Indonesia are currently also threatened by the impacts of climate change. From several studies, it is known that the threat of climate change is considered capable of increasing community resilience in informal areas. This study aims to identify the application of the principle of verification of positivism and its implications as an analysis of the philosophy of science in the study of climate change impacts on the resilience of informal areas. The analytical technique used is descriptive evaluative by using several literature reviews and theories. From the results of the study, it was found that research related to climate change and resilience of informal areas is an empirical, logical, and measurable research as well as part of a deductive research and reflects that the theme of this research is a part of science.

Abstract

The problem of uninhabitable houses must get more special handling in order to create a prosperous community life. The Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS) is a government program in providing facilities for low-income households to have decent housing. The provision of services can affect the level of satisfaction of the receiving community, because the level of community satisfaction can measure the success of a service or product provided by the government. (Case Study: Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency) with the aim of knowing the level of community satisfaction with the quality of services provided in the BSPS program. The analysis used is descriptive qualitative in the form of interviews and documentation in this study using three RLH criteria, namely building safety, adequacy of space or minimum area, and health. The results of the study show that there is a conformity between the RLH criteria that have been built with the BSPS program criteria so that there is satisfaction felt by the community because the suitability is in accordance with what is expected and also because of the good service to create houses with livable conditions and improve people's lives towards a more good.

Abstract

This paper aims to reveal the dimension underlying variables that affect the trip makers; mode choice to reach Car-Free Day location, taking Bandung as a case study. Twelve variables are gathered from several works of literature, namely trip cost, parking cost, trip duration, trip distance, number of people on the trip, the highest number of lanes in the trip, the age of the trip maker(s), number of vehicle ownership, whether those are motorized or non-motorized, and the number of household member. Correlations between variables are more than possible to find in that amount. Therefore, a principal component analysis is used to group the variables into factors, representing the structure or dimension laid down beneath them. This method shows that four groups of variables, or factors, are generated. The result then is compared to some literature that priorly have been reviewed. The first dimension is called “trip characteristics” which elements are trip duration, the highest number of lanes in the trip, and trip distance. The second dimension, namely “out-of-pocket cost”, is built upon in-vehicle trip cost and parking cost. The third dimension is a group of three vehicle ownership, i.e car, motorcycle, and bicycle ownership, hence the name “vehicle ownership” dimension. The fourth dimension is labeled “trip-maker characteristics”, with its variables being the number people involved in the trip and the age of the trip-maker.

Abstract

The majority of Indonesia's population lives in rural areas so that agriculture is the main sector in the economy and the survival of rural communities where it is known that the national income generated from the agricultural sector is more than 50%. To increase the effectiveness and efficiency of agricultural activities, the application of technology, especially digital-based ones, is very necessary because it has a significant impact on improving the economy of farming communities in particular, one of which is the digitalization of agriculture.Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, it is known that the application of agricultural digitization in terms of the use of applications used as online marketing media in Adiluwih and Gadingrejo sub-districts is still relatively low. The low use of this application is due to several factors that influence the use of agricultural applications, including farmer readiness factors, age factors, gender factors, education factors, extension factors, and income factors. Furthermore, this agricultural digitization has an impact on the economic level of the farming community, although it is still relatively low, this digitalization can increase farmers' income by 8.5%. This increase in income is obtained from the marketing of agricultural products through online media which is part of the digitalization tools in agriculture. This is an opportunity so that the application of digitalization and information technology in agriculture can be developed optimally in order to increase the economic growth of rural communities.

Abstract

The National Medium Term Development (RPJMN) 2020-2024 prioritizes the concept of Sustainable Development (SDGs) and the main target is poverty, this indirectly means that poverty is an important thing that must be prioritized for handling. Achieving common prosperity is a reflection of the success of development that is expected by every country in general, including Indonesia. Prosperity can be measured by a decrease in the level of poverty which if the prosperity of an area increases, it means that there is a decrease in the level of poverty. This paper aims to map the pattern of poverty at two points in time, namely 2015 and 2020 between regions in Indonesia. In mapping poverty patterns and trends, the spatial analysis method is used to determine the distribution pattern of poverty between regions in Indonesia. As a result, there are various patterns of poverty ranging from very low to very high class, with poverty in the east being higher than in the west. Based on the changing trend, regions with high poverty rates such as Papua Island actually had the largest poverty reduction from 2015 to 2020 but this has not been able to change their position into regions with the highest poverty rates.

Abstract

Bandar Lampung has 1,166,066 people, with waste production reaching 946.35 tons/day. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry has nominated Bandar Lampung as one of Indonesia's dirtiest cities. The waste quantity produced increases, but waste management does not run optimally. In addition, the Bakung TPA still applies the open dumping method so that the waste is immediately disposed of without any processing. The processing carried out is merely limited to composting at several sources of market waste. Technology and innovation in waste management continue to formulate, and it can help improve the quality of waste management. Therefore, this study aims to formulate the best strategy for optimizing the waste management system integrated with technology and innovation. This study used a qualitative deductive approach with descriptive analysis and AWOT analysis (AHP and SWOT). It was concluded that the best strategy to optimize waste management in Bandar Lampung City is the defensive strategy. The strategy consists of fulfilling infrastructure and staff according to standards, increasing efforts and maintenance funds by the government and community retribution, waste socialization movements and simultaneous assistance, optimizing existing technologies and innovations, integrating waste management systems, pursuing a waste monitoring movement, and digitizing the waste management system.
